When you have an urgent need, they go out of their way to help figure out a solution. Originally went to this office for 3 years until they stopped taking our insurance. Went to 2 other in-network dentists since leaving SWFL Dental and r experiences have been awful at these other places - temps used as hygienists, hidden costs, trying to upsell, wanting to drill/fill cavities that aren't actually cavities (thanks to Dr. Baxmann for taking a look & letting us know no work was really needed!). We truly feel that we can trust Dr. Baxmann so r returning and will just pay the out of network cost. It's worth the money to be able to rely on the opinion/expertise and work of someone like Dr. Baxmann who is honest, takes a cautious approach and takes his time ensuring he's providing you with his best work. We r a little more along the holistic/biologic category in r dental approach & although that isn't Dr B's practice, he is respectful of r opinions and gives us the option on what we feel comfortable doing. As far as quality of dental work, he fixed 2 of my child's teeth with enamel hypocalcification/hypoplasia and they look so great now! He did an amazing job matching the color so that it looks natural. Really thankful he walked us through the details so we could feel comfortable moving forward. I had made an appointment for her to replace 2 crowns on 2 teeth that would also be seen when I smile. I had the appointment & made a 250$ deposit, initially I wasn't happy with the implant crown- it was too white and even stuck out a bit, but decided not to make a big deal about it. My teeth are white- but not as white as the crown and it wasn't until I saw a picture of me smiling that I realized how bad it looked. 24hrs before, I cancelled my appointment to have the other crowns replaced because I was concerned about them not being able to match these crowns either. I then made an appointment to see Dr Parsons to see if there was anything they could do this implant crown. Dr Parsons literally spent less than 1-2 minutes with me. I was with the assistant, who was very rude to me. I wanted to talk to DR PARSONS because she is the DENTIST! The assistant couldn't even answer all of my questions, and it was clear that both she AND Dr Parsons were put out by the fact that I was there. I looked again, with the assistant, at other colors to possibly replace the crown with but we couldn't find one. My concern about getting new crowns not matching were quite real. Thank goodness I cancelled the appointment and didn't spend 4,000 bucks on crowns that would look terrible. But I was out 250$ for cancelling my appointment ( I cancelled 24, not 48 hrs prior). I think the reason was understandable, however. I mentioned this to the assistant who said, "well, you should have shown up for your appointment". She could not have have been more snotty! I told her I did cancel more than 24hrs prior. She said, "we booked a lot of time for you." Then she said I should have come in that day to discuss it with Dr Parsons. She was hateful and honestly, it was upsetting. Even after we couldn't match the color of the crown, Dr Parsons couldn't be bothered to come back in. I just to go to my other dentist who had done all my other work but is 2500 miles away, so next time I fly there to visit my kids I'll have to spend hours at dentist- instead of with my kids. AND I'll have to pay 2,000 dollars to replace the implant crown, plus paying for the other 2 crowns. And I'm out 250$. And I'm on disability- I don't have dental insurance. I've never been treated so badly ever, by any dentist office. They don't care about the quality of their work. Stay away. I wanted to add to this. When I went back to my dentist in CA, they said that the crown should be redone. They also felt it was not only the wrong color, but it's not the right size. They are cosmetic dentists in S Ca and have been in practice over 30yrs. But now I have to pay over 2,000$ for them to replace the crown that Dr Parsons had placed. I paid Dr Parsons over 2,000$. Money WASTED, that I don't have. Dr Parsons is not a cosmetic dentist. She couldn't care less about the work she does-as long as she gets your money. There are things to be taken into consideration when placing a crown- not just color. She should know this.

I came here to share my experience in hopes that it helps someone else…read more I scheduled an appointment because I was having significant pain in one of my teeth. I was already fairly certain I needed a root canal. I chose this office for two reasons: They had a perfect 5-star rating with 179 reviews (looking back, this should have been my first red flag). They were listed as in-network with my Humana Dental PPO plan. The staff was very kind, accommodating, and reassuring, especially since I was extremely nervous. They took X-rays and confirmed that I did need a root canal. They returned with a treatment plan and told me my insurance would not cover the procedure. They said my insurance would only pay $341 toward the crown, leaving me responsible for approximately $2,200 out of pocket. Because I was in a lot of pain, they offered financing through Cherry. They told me they could get me in as early as 9:00 a.m. the next morning, but to reserve the appointment I had to pay at least half up front. They explained that paying half would create two separate Cherry financing agreements and recommended that I finance the full amount instead. Since I was in pain and trusted what I was being told, I agreed and financed the entire $2,200. Before leaving, I asked why my insurance wasn't covering the treatment, since insurance companies usually provide a reason for denying a claim. The receptionist looked at the information and told me it said, "No information provided," and that I would need to contact my insurance company to file a claim myself. On the drive home, I spoke with my husband. We reviewed my Humana benefits and discovered that the treatment codes for my root canal are actually covered at 80%. I immediately called Humana. The representative was surprised because the dental office had never submitted a predetermination of benefits. We then merged the office into a three-way call with myself, Humana, and the office staff. During that call, the office repeatedly avoided submitting the predetermination and instead kept transferring us around and saying someone would call us back. Eventually, my husband became involved and firmly insisted that they submit the predetermination to insurance. Instead of doing that, the office manager suddenly canceled my Cherry financing, despite previously telling me that canceling it wasn't possible. I can't speak to their intentions, but this experience raised serious concerns for me. I was told my insurance wouldn't cover treatment when no predetermination had even been submitted, and I was encouraged to finance over $2,000 before my benefits were properly verified. Thankfully, I questioned everything before having any treatment performed. I can't help but wonder how many patients, especially elderly individuals or those unfamiliar with insurance, simply trust what they're told and move forward without realizing they may have other options. I would strongly encourage anyone considering treatment here to contact their insurance company directly, verify your benefits yourself, and request a predetermination before agreeing to any major treatment or financing. Or just stay away all together...
