We had two separate engagements with Great Guys and neither was satisfactory. 1. Our swamp cooler tubing from the water source to our swamp cooler developed a leak. Great Guys moved the tubing from our downstairs water tank to the outside hose spicket. All went well until the technician installed a cracked part (or cracked the part during installation) then left without testing. The installation was leaking immediately. Great Guys came back the next day and installed a different part that got rid of the leak but was in a configuration that made using the attached garden hose hard to use. I had to buy another part to correct the hose configuration that I installed myself 2. We engaged Great Guys one more time for electrical work. We were given a bid estimate that we agreed to in writing and agreed to an install date. When the electrician arrived I explained that I had changed the plan for one room to make it simpler with fewer parts. I did not ask for a reduction of the price agreement. The electrician left to get parts, and on his return he told me the parts cost more than he had told me earlier so he would charge me more. When I reminded him of the reduced work and less parts for one room he said he still had to charge me more but would call his manager to see what he could do. After his call he told me his manager told him the job was under bid and they would not be able to do the work. So after waiting 2 weeks with a mutually signed agreement the electrician left without doing any work. I can't recommend this company. read more

I needed the faucets replaced in our master bathroom sinks. I was able to get the work scheduled within a couple of days of calling for an appointment. Donn let me know when he was on his way, well within the 2 hour scheduling window I'd been given. He was friendly, professional, and explained exactly what he would do and the cost. He ended up needing to replace the shut off valves under the sinks as well, told me before he did the work, and confirmed the additional charge was acceptable. The new faucets work great, he left the sinks cleaner than when he started, and took all of the faucet packaging and old parts with him when he left. I'm very happy with this job and will definitely use Great Guys for future plumbing needs. read more

The fact that they call themselves "Great Guys Plumbing: is a joke. These "Great Guys" overcharged my mother and charged her $225.00 for a simple clogged toilet. After getting the work done my mother, who lives alone after my father recently passed away, looked up and called other businesses who all said that she was cheated. She contacted these great guys to ask about the situation and they chose to never respond. She called several times and they never picked up or returned a call. They saw a woman alone and decided they could take advantage. I highly recommend anyone else, literally anyone else. read more

Great guys is just that, a company built and run by a bunch of great guys' I've had a hell of a time getting my hvac system into shape after slowly discovering a slew of issues left over from a poor reno-flip job. Short of buying a whole new system and starting from scratch, my options were fairly limited, but Great Guys were able to bring the creative thinking that my jobs needed in order to bring my system up to snuff without costing an absolute fortune. Our AC went out during a week of 95+ temperatures in August 2020. I called Great Guys on Monday afternoon, and was able to book an appointment for Wednesday. A technician came out and replaced the capacitor in our furnace, and warned that the furnace motor would likely need to be replaced in the near future. He also made some suggestions to increase the air flow in the system, such as spraying off the louvers on the AC unit and changing our filters more frequently than we had been. A few days later the AC went out again, and then the temperature dropped 65 degrees overnight. I called again, and a technician showed up later that day and replaced the motor. But what impressed me most is he discounted what we had already paid on the first visit, saving us a couple hundred bucks on the replacement motor. Great, friendly service, fair prices, prompt attention, and free advice. I'm very impressed with this company and will use them in the future for my HVAC needs. read more

You guys were recommended from a friend who works commercial HVAC. The repair that Stephen did for us went well. He was straightforward about the price and explained everything to me very well. My only critique for a Great Guys heating is your pricing. You guys are definitely on the high end on repairs. I am renting out my home in Boulder and the AC went out and I received a text an hour ago from the renters so I turned to Yelp and read about HVAC companies and was impressed by the reviews for this one. I left a message, after business hours, and within 10 minutes I received a message back. Marcus took the time to evaluate the situation and then after much helpful information he told me that they didn't service Boulder and to call another company who he recommends. I did and they will be coming out to evaluate. That isn't the end of the story. Marcus also recommended that I replace the furnace and AC together as they are over 20 years old and was so consultative and professional and calming for me. What a GREAT person this man is. I so wish that his company could do Boulder, but if you are in his territory THIS is the COMPANY that you should use. WOW!! This is what we all wish our customer experience could be.
