MMMMMM Love, love, love. I've had about 5 bottles from here so far. There's a delicious olive oil with black truffles...Pricey ($70 something) for a huge bottle, but it's delicious. Cooking with these are amazing. The first one I had was a rosemary and garlic that made chicken fabulous. They even have a whole line of vinegars too...Don't forget to get a punch card. Also, if you take your bottle back and refill, it's $1 off.

Says balsamic vinegar...but bought oilve oil... hope my gift recipient still likes it cause i bought 2 bottles...one for a gift.one for me

Willi's Sausage - Grilled brat with kraut and sauce

    Willi's Sausage

Worth Browsing, but I'd Skip the Food…read more Willi's Sausage is part meat market, part general store and part sausage diner--and unfortunately, it feels like it hasn't quite decided what it wants to be in the middle of a very tourist-focused market. We stopped in specifically hoping to get a good German bratwurst. What we received was much more like a hot-dog-style sausage than what we would consider a traditional bratwurst. It was good enough, but it definitely wasn't the authentic German brat we were hoping to find. It tasted more like something you might purchase prepackaged from a grocery-store deli than a fresh brat from a specialty sausage shop. We also ordered a pickle, which was actually very flavorful. It was served whole in a Ziploc bag, which was a little unexpected, and while the flavor was good, the skin was extremely tough. The biggest disappointment was the disconnect between the meat market and the food being served. With the sausages and other products displayed in the meat cases, based on their in store sign, we expected something fresh and house-made. Instead, our meal gave us the impression that many of the prepared ingredients may be purchased premade rather than being the same type of homemade products the market appears to specialize in. We sat at a quaint, little table where we were served after we ordered at the counter. The staff was nice but not overly friendly. There's an opportunity here to make the food counter a showcase for what's being sold in the butcher cases--fresh sausages cooking, great smells filling the store and customers getting to taste the products before taking some home. That would make the whole concept come together. As it is, I'm not sure Willi's has a firm grasp on its identity yet. I'd still stop in while exploring Frankenmuth to browse the store and meat market, but based on our experience, I'd skip eating here and look elsewhere for a good German

And although they have remodeled and have lost some of the "old school charm" we really like what they have done here! We were in town for Winterfest and were craving an "authentic" brat at a fair price and this place never disappoints. In the old days you could sit outside under a warming tent, no more... But what you can do now is sit inside at a table or the countertop, we are counter people! The staff are friendly and if you are looking for specialty sausage and all things related, this is the place for you. They also have adult beverages available to enjoy or take with. The brat was really good, with kraut and their own sauce which is a nice touch!

We saw the billboard for Kern's Sausages while driving on the highway and decided we had to stop…read more The entire goal of our Frankenmuth trip was to enjoy some really good German food, and Kern's ended up being one of our favorite finds. Walking into Kern's immediately reminded me of the local grocery and butcher shops we had back home in the 1970s--the kind of place where you could pick up fresh meat from the butcher counter and also get something good to eat. That gave us an idea, so we asked if they made sandwiches or brats to eat there, like our old hometown grocery used to do. They said yes! We ordered two natural brats with sauerkraut, mustard, and Kern's own in-house brat sauce. They literally pulled the brats straight out of the meat display and cooked them for us. For only $4.50 each, we had one of the best brats of our entire trip. The bun was incredibly fresh, the sauerkraut was delicious, and the brat itself was excellent--but that brat sauce sent the whole thing over the top. Absolutely delicious. My only suggestion for Kern's: put a small rotisserie behind the counter with a few of those sausages cooking and ready to eat! The smell alone would have everyone walking through the door ordering a brat. Cooking the brat in the microwave was a bit disappointing. If you're visiting Frankenmuth for German food, don't overlook Kern's because it looks more like a butcher shop and market than a restaurant. Go inside and order a brat. And definitely get the brat sauce

All items were made at Kern's and all were between $4 and $7. ALL of the items I purchased are DELICIOUS & TASTY. I also found some authentic German yellow mustard from Dusseldorf that is VERY GOOD. My total at the checkout was ~$34. The staff was very HELPFUL in explaining the ingredients for each type of sausage. Unfortunately, no samples of the cooked sausages were available. I would be willing to buy larger quantities if I had a sample and was certain that I liked it. Great selection of beer and wine as well.

No spontaneous afternoon is complete without some ice cream, and I quickly found a place there that served some big scoops. After mulling over a number of flavors (sadly, not able to sample at this time of the pandemic) I decided on a small serving of cake batter ice cream. I was expecting something about a third of the size, but I wasn't going to complain -- never a thing as too much ice cream! I grabbed a table outside in the shopping center and dug in, but sadly found that I couldn't finish the whole serving. Hot temperatures melting the ice cream plus me filling up on the huge serving meant that a bit of it went to waste. It's an ideal size to share with someone if you just need a little something sweet! Still, when the warm weather has you screaming for ice cream, it's not a bad place to grab a scoop!

From generic flavors like caramel or cheese, to the more obscure such as dill pickle, to the sweet like banana split or a (deluxe) flavor like Oreo, this place has it all. We personally ordered the five cup portions of: * Green Apple * Pineapple Coconut * Bavarian Style As well as two other 5-cup portions of other plain flavors, and four popcorn balls (two green apple, one strawberry, one plain). The price? Only $50. Did I mention how much popcorn fills the air? As soon as you walk in, you're hit with a sweet, flavorful smell that you might not expect from popcorn-- and along the shelves is everything popcorn. Popcorn balls, popcorn packs, shelves stacked high with everything popcorn. Also, the workers genuinely seem to care. They don't seem tired of their job, they seem genuinely happy scooping up delicious popcorn. This is why I'd rate the Popcorn Wagon 5 stars.

Tins to send as gifts and popcorn bowls/ containers for family movie/ game nights or the serious popcorn lover to have all to themselves! Prices were $-$$ and I'd say portions are generous. Business is easily accessible if mobility issues are a concern, the shop is located from inner walkway of other collection of stores. Staff is very friendly, helpful and you can sample flavors before you buy. There is a small fee for sample cup which holds about 7-8 pieces. I was pleasantly surprised and highly recommend you checkout this business.
