We got the fried Mac and Cheese ($9), which came with ranch. It was good but not the best fried Mac I've had. It seems like they had plenty of activities (axe throwing and cornhole- seemed to be for an extra fee). Kids seems to enjoy the playground area. It might be nice to have a walking path. Our whole family went and spent a day out here between Christmas and New Years. It is a huge property with ample parking, both kid and dog friendly. We were surprised to learn that not only was it a brewery, but they had a full bar. The staff were super nice and accommodating to making cocktails with the ingredients onsite. We also really enjoyed the wings, fries and pretzel with cheese. It was even nice enough to sit inside, but gave the doors open. We look forward to returning! read more

This is THE spot for families. We absolutely love taking our 3 little ones here. So much space for them to run around, a big mound of dirt they can climb (oh so simple but they're obsessed!), swings, & some play structures. It never feels too crowded because it's such a spacious place. That being said, food sucks. Inside, you can order a variety of pre-frozen junk foods. My little ones were obsessed with the whimpy hot dogs here, so I guess that's a win for us. There's a food truck outside that offers better food options. We personally enjoyed the cheese steak & onion rings but a bit too greasy. Nice variety of beers. I'm not a big drinker but enjoyed theor cherry hard cider. Bathrooms are clean & staff are friendly. Went there to the recent "country night" with my family that was staying with me for a long weekend visit. 9 of us total. Didnt take long for it to get polluted with 80's music and other periods of pop. I dont remember whitney houston and billy idol being on country stations ever and especially not abba. Very disappointed. if you want your dj playing pop then advertise it differently. i'd estimate a third of what was played was NOT country. it was not what we came for. you got 2 stars instead of one for good service but we dont be back. read more

This brewery is average when it comes to food. It's mostly frozen items that they have up charged. I had a sour while I was here that was great. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Dog friendly. They even welcomed a few indoors with dogs as the heat index was in the 100's when I came. They have a lot sorting areas great for a large crowd. I wish they would've had live music on a Saturday as they do have a stage. I didn't go but they do have axe throwing in the premises as well! read more

I visited Farm Brewery on a Saturday afternoon. Plenty of space, live music, great service. You go up to the main counter and order everything from there. Nobody comes to your table or anything. They explain the various types of beer and allow you to sample and taste them. They make great recommendations as well. The food menu was quick and easy, basically bar snack food, fries, corn dogs, pickle fries, Buffalo chicken wings. I ate earlier so I onlybhad a corn dog, which was typical. Great place to socialize, hang out with friends. Pet friendly. I saw plenty of sweet dogs on their leashes. People brought their kids too so it has a nice, laid back vibe. Haymarket is quite the hike when traveling from Leesburg. This brewery/ax throwing/ trivia games venue packs quite a lot on their property. Ambiance is fun, lots of space both indoors and outdoors. The staff is great! Our ax thrower manager was very helpful and PATIENT. Gold star for this guy just for his flexibility. I was bummed out when I found out I was double charged for a can of Diet Coke. $3 each and I only had one can. When we are there for 4 hours with a big list of purchases it's hard to find that double charge. The trivia was "ok" only because we could NOT hear the trivia person. It was mumbling the whole night. Yes, I did download the questions but please fix that speaker. Sacks and beers and cocktails were all good. No complaints there. read more

We finally found an afternoon to make our way over since we've heard so many good things about the place. Parking was plentiful despite it being very busy and the lot wasn't too far from everything. There was also a good amount of seating inside the barn and tables just about everywhere else too. Lots of options on tap. We got the Dad Bod, Tangerine IPA, a red/white wine slush, and a Pineapple Prism, our favorites being the Dad Bod and Tangerine IPA but all were solid and refreshing for the hot day. Food options were again, plentiful. Good amount of bar food options inside and right outside there were two more food trucks/tents. We grabbed a hot pretzel inside and an order of crab tots from the Two Smooth Dudes truck. Pretzel was standard, no complaints. Definitely worth checking out their rotating food truck schedule, seems like they've had a lot of good options. Overall, great place to spend a summer afternoon. I definitely want to come back and try their Axe throwing thats in an adjacent barn away from the bar and of course more of their brews. read more

My wife, daughter and I spent Mother's Day afternoon here at the Farm. Located just west of Haymarket, it's easy to get to and has loads of parking. We showed up shortly before our 2pm ax throwing reservation to find lots of people already having a good time. There were kids everywhere especially around the playground area, others tossing a lacrosse ball back and forth or throwing a frisbee and quite a few families were there with their dogs. Kinda like a giant park setting in front of the brew house. We started though at the ax throwing barn. We reserved a "lane" for an hour which was plenty. The barn was not filled up though and several groups walked in without reservations to try it as well. YMMV. It was both frustrating and a lot of fun throwing an ax. Frustrating in that it took numerous throws before getting the sharp end of the ax to hit the wood target but fun once we figured it out. The staff will offer tips and give quick lessons if you ask. There is sturdy metal fencing between the lanes and we felt safe the entire time. Yes you can drink beer while throwing an ax but we thought that was not so wise for us. Once we had our fill of throwing axes, we moved on to the main event here. Drinking beer. They were offering perhaps 8 or so beers on tap including two IPAs (yeah). I had the Farmtastic Pale Ale which I thoroughly enjoyed. My daughter had the Tangerine Pale Ale which she described as my Farmtastic with a tangy finish. My wife got a Beer Pressure Vienna Lager which is apparently made quicker by putting it under pressure. They offer food inside with the beer including snack foods like popcorn and pretzels. This day, however, the Ford Fish Shack food truck was parked outside. We partook of their classic fish and chips. Yum. Despite there being lots of people there, it never felt crowded as there is plenty of space. All in all an enjoyable afternoon. read more

I enjoy The Farm and visit often. As with any brewery, there are good beers, bad beers, and great beers! They usually have a selection of wine and ciders as well. The food is okay, but I believe you are better off to purchase from one of the food trucks they use. They routinely have live music and to top it off, the place is very clean and family friendly! They also have a non-affiliated axe throwing service that I would NOT recommend. Their customer service is simply NOT good. Find a better place to spend your money doing that. read more

We had a great time at The Farm. We stopped by for a quick drink on our way back from Skyline. The outdoor area was well designed, with a tented shaded area, some field areas, and a stage with live music. The Tropical Sunset hard cider was AMAZING, we went so far as to inquire if they had a can option to bring home. The employees all seemed friendly, they worked quickly to get drink orders taken. okay a woman in black sandals stepped in doggie poo & it was carried all over as she drug it all over the grass to get it off. We were trying to eat. Had to move 3 times to get fresh air. A dog section is so needed! We came to celebrate a b- day & an anniversary, watered down beer, and then was told by a couple of people they were asked plastic or glass. When given glass, they were charged $28 seriously?! Come on you can do better than this! $28 for a made in China generic beer mug! OMG! Soul food truck A+ rating, hot spicy yum jambalaya. Eugene's 38 minute wait???? A friend recommended them. A double NO! Got food at Soul food 3-5 min max, by the time we hot our other food for 4 others in our group, soul food was cool snd we were All & I mean do many people waiting over 1/2 hour at Eugene's for sausages!?! wth? My friend just lost food suggestion status. Band was fun, very versatile music genre,live music. patrons were friendly Nice venue but the rest is sub par. I ordered mac & cheese bites, wings, three beers, and a coke. Total was $65, which I paid. A few days later, I was looking at my credit card statement and saw an additional charge of $40. This was obviously an error. In the six weeks since this happened, I have called and left two voice messages, and also sent a message through their website. No response to any of my messages. I find this unacceptable. It's one thing to overcharge, and I give the benefit of the doubt that it was an error. But to not respond to my multiple messages is very poor. When you order they want you to start a tab and without telling you they charge your card $50.00. When I closed out, they told me they would email me my receipt, which they never did. When I looked at my bank statement, they charged my card for the amount of my tab AND the 50.00. In essence double charging me $50.00. When I disputed this with the bank they couldn't help me because I didn't have a receipt. I contacted the Brewery to try and resolve this and never heard from them. I was with a group of work friends and this happened to everyone in our group. Over charging everyone there on a busy weekend afternoon must have made them a fortune! read more

I liked the atmosphere here! The indoor space is pretty big and during the warmer months, there's outside seating and space to roam around. I got a beer flight of 4 for $12 which was decently priced to be able to try a few of their beers. They also have wine slushies! Due to the way the space is laid out, it can get pretty loud inside from people talking over the band/musician that they have playing on weekends. Otherwise, a nice place for groups because of the large space and long tables! read more

Pretty rad. - sobo the food truck: chorizo empanada, beef tacos and loaded nachos were spot on. - Pretty good sized outdoor space, properly distanced tables and outdoor alcohol sales / bars made things Pretty safe - Saturday night live band outdoor was nice, brought some normalcy to our pandemic life. - the IPAs were great! The bad: - mask required signs posted, but many people were not wearing them nor were they social distancing. Security did not enforce it. - many inside the huge building, in line for the bathroom or beer line, not wearing masks. - servers and bartenders were too close to patrons, didn't really practice social distancing. - didn't see tables sanitized between patrons. And the ugly: Port-a-john outside smelled, the breeze carried it on to the grounds. Unpleasant smell. Would I return for those wings during the pandemic, probably not. I was camping down the road and took a trip to civilization to enjoy some nice AC in Virginia's hot summer. This brewery was just the right place! It was pretty spacious and had plenty of parking! The ambiance was quite nice. Also there were some kids in there as well as adults (it was about 4-5pm), nothing too rowdy. I believe they had a good selection of beer but I wasn't there for that! I tried the soda flight with a friend and it was quite interesting. They were very carbonated and not that sweet if I remember. I wish there was still some sour patch kids flavor to try but they seem to run out and rotate their sodas. I like how they also offer red/white wine slushies! That's an interesting twist. Well nothing bad for me to say here! I had a great time. Also there are plenty of restroom stalls and the layout is pretty interesting. Would recommend to check it out. read more

Stopped by because they had what appeared to be three hanging dead bodies on a boom of their fire truck with 911. I guess it was supposed to be for Halloween, ghosts would have been more appropriate. The staff and service was a drag, they have so many signs of don't do this, don't do that upon entry. Which lends to the type of owners and environment they are trying to create. This is a nice place to come and hang out as a group! There are tons of picnic tables outside. They have a basic "bar food" style menu. They have lots of adult beverage options, including beer, wine, frozé, etc. Service was barely decent when we went, but that was probably because we went within an hour and 15 minutes of closing time on a Saturday night, so maybe the girl ringing us up really just wanted to go home. I remember us driving to the Farm Brewery for the first time and us saying "man, I hope this place is good, it sure is far..." there was definitely some general grumbling as we drove down the road. You know that uncertainty trying a new place? Well, I'm definitely glad I did. I really love the Farm Brewery and have been back several times since my first visit. Do they have a wide variety of brews? Absolutely. Are the beers great? I'd say the beers are good, not great. Where the Farm Brewery really excels - and makes up for in lack of every beer being awesome - is the atmosphere. It's a very large space with a TON of TVs that show NFL Sunday ticket on Sundays (great for those of you like me who follow a non-local team). There's a huge fireplace and with a roaring fire going, you can't beat it as a great place to watch football in the dead of winter. Even when it's crowded - and when I went this past Sunday it was the most crowded I've seen over a few visits - there was still room to get a table. They had a lot of poinsettias and a huge Christmas tree during the Christmas season, which was really nice and made for quite a festive space. As for the beers, I've loved all of their stouts, the schwartz, orangeberry zinger, and triple berry blonde. I admit, I'm not an IPA fan so I haven't tried any of those. Beers I tried but wasn't crazy about: La Granja Cerveza (very interesting beer, well made, would be wonderful if you love jalapenos and want your beer to taste like a jalapeno), and the basil farmhouse ale (honestly, tastes like an herb garden). They almost always have a food truck present, have live music (although I haven't been there when they have), and more recently, added pretzels and pizzas to their list of in-house offerings, which is nice if you are looking for a little snack with your beer. I'm sure I'll be frequenting them during baseball season, too - look forward to seeing what spring has in store there! read more

"If you build it, they will drink" must be the motto for this place. One of the most spacious breweries I've seen in NOVA, and a food truck seems to always be in attendance. Very impressive, family friendly location. This was my second visit, but first review. The reason for that is the brews here seem VERY experimental to me, so much so that I didn't enjoy many on my first visit. The second visit was more successful. I confined myself to a flight of 4 examples of beers I typically like (although I got a 5th freebie), but even so it was hit or miss. Spicy Cerveza: Drinking this was like volunteering for a kick to the nutz. One sip and I was like "Whhoooooah, this is spicy!". Definitely an acquired taste. It was unpalatable to me, but my servers graciously swapped it out with something else. May the Schwartz Be With You: Schwartzbier are hit or miss to me; they often remind me of drinking a slim jim. Still, I had to try it. I liked my mini-sample enough that I asked for more. Easier to drink that other schwartzbiers. Basil Farmhouse: It was...different. Not sure if that's good or bad. Tarty Cherry: Lives up to it's name. favorite of the lineup. I can't remember my last one, but I think it was a fruity concoction. read more

My friends and I came here to hang out Saturday afternoon together. It was a hot day and we got a table in the main building. I had Farmtastic IPA. It was very hoppy to my like. Crazy burger food truck was outside. I ordered spicy mushroom burger following the recommendation at the truck and it was delicious! After finishing our drinks, we moved to the axe throwing area. On the way getting there, I found a large covered patio. It's large and shuts the direct sunlight well for a hot day. I couldn't do axe throwing since I was wearing flipflops (closed toe shoes only for safety!). I enjoyed my afternoon here but I have to say everything was pricey. I didn't expect $9 for a pint of beer after driving one hour from the city. A can of diet coke was over $3. CBD water was $10 a glass. read more

The beer is good. Wide choice of craft beers for all tastes. I had an IPA, and tasted two others. All were delicious. Place was quite crowded, but on Saturday night with open music one would only expect. It's very well managed and crowd is friendly. Dogs are welcome outside.
