Dr. Sinclair made sure everything was explained to me and that I approved. When I picked my cat up the X-rays of her teeth were shown and again explained to me. This office honestly cares for the animals they see. They were very kind to her and checked in the next morning. I voice a concern I had and they got back to me right away! Not only will I continue to take my animals here but I highly recommend them! I know my cat might feel a little sore the next feel days but Dr.Sinclair made it possible for her to be as comfy as possible and she is already looking a bit brighter

Our kitten went in for an eye issue and we discovered he has FIP…read more First issue, we were told our kitten was *supposedly* and 8 year old cat imaging our surprise at this when we have watched him grow since he was well, a kitten. - he is 1.5 yo During this appointment, after reviewing the blood work, we were told he would have to come in a few times and we would have to purchase a scale "you could weigh him with any cheap scale like a $20 one you can get on Amazon" for at home weight checks. We were also told the treatment is not cheap. While leaving our first visit they informed us, we would need to closely monitor him, and handed a list of emergency vets in the area, due to the stress from the vet visit. While making a comment regarding euthanasia. A week later, with very little interaction from the vet, spare a few text -from the staff, none of which asking how his condition was improving/deteriorating, *until notified we were changing Vets* note the vet was at a seminar but informed us she was reachable. Apparently not well enough. Oh, single phone call about the price from their chosen pharmacy *before the seminar* they informed us the cost would be over double the pharmacy I requested. *EXACT same medication. *This quote took until the end of the next day. After being told this was a possible euthanasia case, why they wouldn't have been faster to that I am not sure* the appointment was on a Monday, the phone call was not until Tuesday, at 3pm, and after receiving confirmation, the prescription was not sent to them until the end of the day, causing the medication to be received even later, as it is shipped. *After going to this pharmacy again, and having very fast responses from them and the new current vet, I see the issue was on the prior vet, and not the pharmacy. Once this vet found out the price of the medication was more than cut in half for us, then the protocol they had discussed in the office prior had suddenly changed. Now she wanted to see him every 7 to 10 days for CBCs, blood draws, reoccurring $300-400 visits, that they had said were very stressful for him, to the point of handing emergency vet info at the first visit, in case he ran into complications through the night, or required euthanasia. Note the first visit was $600~approximately. Let's also note that these weekly CBCs would also require their own "initial office visit fee" "but only for the first one" you mean the first visits "initial visit fee" isn't the same "initial visit fee" you need for the now weekly blood draws you're requesting. During this time we received the medication, we were in the process of moving, before we even brought him in for his *what we thought was going to be a simple eye issue* we requested a refill because, we would not be able to see our new vet until the 24th due to schedule, we were due to run out of medication on the 25th. Dr Sinclair who is more about the money than for the love of the animals, would not do a refill of the exact same medication. And said, "it sounds like you will be able to see your new vet before your current supply runs out." Let's also note that before the pharmacy change the offer to purchase all of the 84 day treatment at once was available. So a simple refill now being out of the question, make me raise a concern for ethics. Being she has seen him within the past 12 month period. Within the last week to be exact since the refill request. I will also note here that after the new vet appointment he is on the EXACT same dosage. So we have changed vets to a wonderful one, who noted our kitten is NOT a senior cat like Dr Sinclair claimed. Explained in depth the treatment for FIP and got us our medication just in time. Thanks to them, not Dr Sinclair, our kitten will continue to get better, and surprisingly at much cheaper cost granted cost of living area has changed with the move. After all is said and done, I do not recommend this vet at all. They are here for the money and not for the love of the animals.

I wanted both my dog and I to know we have a veterinarywho cares. The front desk staff at Veterinary Housecall were so kind to squeeze me in for my dog's appointment, I had gotten the time mixed up but looking back I believe they should have told me to come back, bc they set aside a solid hour to look at all pets and get to know him, I was not aware of that, being a new dog mom. As it were, the visit was rushed and anxiety built up with my dog being apart from me, alone, with strangers. I felt uncomfortable to let him go into another room for his examination. Come to find out, my dog had matting on his tail, ears and around his groin area. The doctor came in after my dog's examination and said she was going to shave him because of matting, I have him groomed but not close for discomfort. The assistant and I comforted my dog as the vet did the shaving it took about 10 minutes but I felt rushed and my dog had severe shaving burns on his private area, lower tail area and top of his head. It looked as though my dog was a completely different dog and in pain. She didn't give advice for medication of antibiotic or advice on a compress...nothing. I had to Google what the vet should have suggested or advised. He spent most of the night crying and not able to be comfortable bc of the redness in the areas shaved. It was a terrible thing for him with no relief from Vetenary Housecall. Another issue was the billing person who was very rude after I was prepared to spend $80, as was told to me, the first regular visit is to be, when I made the appointment but it escalated when the doctor shaved him, in which I was not aware that she would at that time. The billing person walked in and was extremely unpleasant, this person lashed out, then mentioned to me, that person was not informed by the staff of the visit type and assumed it was for shaving my dogs tail matting and I was there for that purpose of shaving my dog and did not want to pay. That was so terrible in that assumption. I called this morning and the front desk duo were understanding of my dogs pain but not willing to help with medication unless I sent over pictures of the redness in the groin and tail areas. I am so fed up with that whole business. In this experience, I must say, I did not do my due diligence with regards to looking for a more caring owner/pet veterinary facility. I thought of closeness and familiarity within the community rather than the caring attention, communication and quality veterinary care for my dog and for me bc us pet parents deserve all of that. My advice, as a new dog owner, ask neighbors who have pets, ask people at dog parks and just know your pet and being an owner of all pets do deserve the very best care and gentle treatment as our children do.

My cat is 18 years 8 months old and my last cat made it to 20 years 9 months. I am very diligent about my pet's healthcare and I know a bad Vet when I see one. You can't tell me this man Dr. Holden doesn't LOVE animals and doesn't LOVE his job. We just moved to this area in July 2024. Today was our first experience and he made my wife and I feel like we were his favorite clients. We had a warm welcome when we came in. Our cat's appointment started on time (not that it really makes a difference for me because I understand things happen.). Dr. Holden was very patient, friendly and thorough with his exam. He explained in detail and PLAIN ENGLISH of what he was doing and what he was looking for. He made us feel good and confident about his abilities. That means the world to us. You know in your heart when you come across a health care professional that takes their job seriously. He takes his job and responsibilities seriously. If you're looking for glitz, glamour, LED Lighting, 90 inch screen TV's with surround sound then this practice is not for you. If you want a dedicated health care professional with decades of experience to tend to your loved one then I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this practice.

However, for the second visit. I call on Jan 11 around 10am to schedule an appointment for my kitty second vaccine. They said they are fully book till next Friday (1/22). So I made an appointment at 3:40pm that day. When I arrived they said they do not have any record of the appointment and there is nothing she can do today, other then reschedule it to next week. I have to take a day off for the appointment and the receptionist didn't even apologize for her mistake!!

I found this to be a much better option! My dog feels much more comfortable because she is at home, and Dr. Anna, Kate and her vet tech, Javier, are both amazing. As I mentioned, I am disabled. I am visually impaired, so Dr. Anna, Kate and her vet tech took extra time to explain what they were doing in case I wasn't able to tell. They took extra time to tell me all of my different options to help my dog, who suffers from chronic allergies, and itches all the time. The cost of a checkup and the medication's are comparable to those of my local vet. The only additional charge is the travel fee. However, for me, it is definitely worth it because of the convenience. However, they also offer a program you can sign up for that helps to cover this cost. Dr. Anna Kate was kind enough to tell me a little about it during their visit today and I plan on looking into it. Dr. Anna, Kate, and Javier are both incredibly kind and compassionate and very professional. They answered all of my questions, and never once made me feel like they were rushing. They took their time with my dog, and we're very loving with her. I highly recommend this mobile vet service. You will not find two more compassionate and amazing people than Dr. Anna Kate and Javier! (I tried to take a selfie with them, but did not realize my phone was on portrait mode. I wish I would have caught it sooner for me to bypass some unneeded emotional damage. Once I finally did pick up on the signs I immediately looked for a nearby vet. But on a Sunday, there aren't many open. My choices were two emergency vets that were equal distances away. As you can see, I chose this one. On my way here, I was all in my emotions and almost bypassed the building. Luckily for me, I caught it at the last minute and whipped around. When I went in there was no hesitation about being seen. They are a digital establishment. Scan the QR code, fill in your information, and wait to be seen. I sat in the waiting room for what felt like an eternity, but we all feel that way in a time of need. Finally a vet tech came to see me and ask what was going on. I started to talk and only broke down instead. I was escorted in a room and they took my cat for a set of vitals. I was at that point where I thought she was attempting to cross that rainbow bridge. Instead, after the vitals and some talking to the vet, it was decided as to what was going on. I also want to thank them for being upfront with information. I was informed that they already know what it is and a course of treatment or I could spend a lot more money to do tests and come to the same conclusion. After a good cry I came to my senses and went with their suggested treatment. This was an emotionally exhausting day. Made a bit better by a good team at this place. My cat, upon returning home, was very lethargic because of the antibiotic and pain medication given. She was out of sorts for a bit, but back to normal within the timeframe quoted by this team.

The staff at Dogs and Cats Emergency & Specialty were amazing from the moment we walked in. They were extremely thorough while showing such care and concern for Duke. They explained what was happening, were transparent about the cost, and gave an honest assessment of the prognosis for our baby. Dr. S explained our options and gave us time to process everything. She answered all our questions and reassured us that there was no right or wrong way to go. Ultimately, we made the heartbreaking decision to let Duke go and she supported it, agreeing it was the kindest choice given his age, prognosis, and his current state. When I asked her what she would do for her own fur baby given the circumstances, Dr. S was transparent and told us she would do the same. That gave us a small bit of comfort that we weren't rushing into it prematurely. Dr. S gave us referrals to a few vets who could come to our home to help us with Duke's final care. We chose Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice, who were equally wonderful during such a horrible time. We appreciate all of the staff at Dogs and Cats Emergency & Specialty, from the folks at the front desk to the nurses and doctors. There were small things that I appreciated... when they brought our baby to us, they put down a plush blanket so he could be comfortable and not laying directly on the floor. Also, right before we left, one of the nurses even came in to say goodbye to Duke and tell him he was a sweet boy. She loved on him and that small gesture will always stick with me. I thank everyone for showing such love and support during one of the most difficult times in my family's life. I would absolutely recommend Dogs and Cats Emergency & Specialty to anyone needing care for their fur baby.
