They have gps touch screens on their golf carts so no need to drain your cell phone or Apple Watch. The screens can be connected to your cell through Bluetooth so you can play your own music through the onboard speakers. Just an awesome touch of service! The course was perfect for my level of play "not quite pro" (read: amateur.) Many of the other players were much more seasoned in this sport and they enjoyed the course too. What a beautiful place!…read more We hob-knobbed with Houston's FInest Cowboys and Cowgirls last night at a benefit gala for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The event was the Ben Johnson Memorial Cowboy Classic. The country club is one of the oldest and by far, the friendliest I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. The staff was on point, professional and always accomodating. They served us a 3-course dinner with grace and lots of charm! the food was very good. We had a petite filet topped with lump crabmeat and a bearnaise sauce on the side with perfectly grilled asparagus and roasted fingerling potatoes. The best part? The homemade vanilla topped with your choice of fudge or butterscoth syrup. The butterscotch was heavenly (Jocelyn, our server, even gave me a second spoonful!) Parking was easy and valet service is available of course. My advice? Pinky out!

I thought the tournament was organized very well. It was easy to find open seats, and the workers did a good job of managing the crowds. The food options were okay, they sold out of some stuff by the afternoon. I settled for a hamburger since I think they ran out of some BBQ items. Decent amount of little shops to visit, but nothing worth buying in my opinion. Cute photo ops and decor. Felt like a little tennis village. Overall, it was really cool to see professional tennis up close for free. The grounds are kept clean and the country club definitely gives off a luxurious vibe!

Meh. $125 I'd expect way better…read more First I called Friday 10 days before our tee time this Sunday. Showed up they hadn't reserved our tee time. So we got "squeezed in" 30 minutes late and it was treated as a favor to me. When I asked for a bucket of balls ($15 on a $500 round for 4) the guy at the pro shop pushed back telling me he had no proof and this rarely happens. Yeah it never happens to me so that's on you. He finally gave it to me after a conversation. The tee boxes are really rough. With direct sunlight feels like an effort/cost saving measure, I'd understand if they were covered by shade and idk trees but that's not the case. Lastly the greens were just punched, which I understand this time of year, but they clearly cut back on the sand. Every other punch hole was empty of sand causing the greens to play like a plunk board. I give two stars cause the fairways and rough were decent. $125 really not worth it.

They never disclosed that most Tuesday are maintenance days, nor did they ever disclose that certain members are allowed to make multiple, consecutive tee times on weekdays during the most desirable morning hours, effectively forcing members not in the club-within- the club to take the midday tee times. When you have a Mon-Thursday membership, this essentially means your membership is actually 2 days per week with some additional half days mixed in. Its a rather discriminatory and disappointing policy.

These guys cram an entire high school golf team 30 minutes in front of our tee time and have the gall to tell me "oh they'll be gone long before you get up the tee box, they play fast"; our threesome literally took nearly 3 hours to play the front nine holes, on a WEEKDAY!!! We were waiting two groups deep on nearly every single hole in front nine of this crappy course. Then on hole number nine some ignorant yet again sorry excuse of a marshal comes up and has the nerve to tell us "Hey we need you to rush to get off this hole so you can get to the 10th hole before 5:30; we don't see an issue with you guys make it through but the group behind you wants to play the last hole before 5:30 so could you hurry it up?" I was literally two seconds away from reading this POS the riot act. Back nine was much more pleasant but the downright lying no good service has ruined it for me, forever. Note: the greens on first 4-5 holes were absolute trash, second cut of rough was unmanaged left uncut for months, etc. pathetic.
