The food is the best Chinese in the county. The service is excellent. It's mostly takeout, but you can eat there if you want. There are a few tables if you're just going through the area. Have eaten most of the food there in over 30 yrs. The couple that owns the restaurant are very hospitable! read more

amazing food, amazing service & family! Best Chinese food in this area! mainly takeout but have eaten here over 30 years.

there is no better garlic chicken or general tsos in the county. the service is perfect and the woman running the show is phenomenal and on point. I've ordered at least 250 times over the last ten years and have never had a single problem. highly highly recommend read more

What can you expect from a Chinese American take out joint in middle of Mt. Pleasant, Westmoreland County, Pa.? About the same menu options and food quality as almost any other Chinese American joint anywhere else in North America. It's not authentic, and it's not creative, but it is edible and even adequate to satisfy a hungry man on a late Saturday night. The Wonton Soup was hot with genuine beef bouillon and thick skinned dumplings stuffed with dark ground semi-spicy meat food. The Scallion Pancakes tasted pretty good in the small pieces that arrived in the take out covered dish. It's overall oiliness was nothing that a paper towel could not sufficiently absorb. The BBQ Spare Ribs arrived off the bone with that typical red amber basting sauce. The taste was right, although the pork was a little tough; the better for heavy mastication. All that glory for under $12. Enough for 2 meals, or even 3 if I wanted to extend the experience for another day. Great Wall. Take a look at the friendly owner working behind the counter and taking the phone orders, and you know the real story of its success. Definitely, a world wonder. read more

Terrible service! Love the front lady that works there! She's amazing! However, when I called to order I got my order taken by a guy this time. I ordered general tso and SHRIMP lo mein. When I got home I had noticed my lo mein was plain. No shrimp, no veggies, just nasty noodles. I called just to get a solution. The same guy was very rude, I've never been talked to like that as a customer! Immediately being told I was wrong. No solution, nothing. Literally said "your fault you don't order right." Basically yelling at me on the phone. So I hung up and took the loss. Very disappointed. I ordered almost every Monday, will not be going back. read more

Staff here is friendly. They serve your typical American Chinese with regional flavors. I am not a fan of this restaurant just because their flavors are bland for my taste. We have many options within 15 miles of here so they are low on the list but occasionally we will get something. If you have a craving for Chinese food I would look for the buffet 2 miles away. Better selection and food is usually prepared with more flavor. read more

The best go to Chinese place in Mount Pleasant. Amazing customer service and never let's us down!

Food was OK. My only real complaint was that the lo mein was too fishy tasting. Watch the bill, though. I was overcharged by over $2. When I called later to question it, I got some lame explanation about a phantom $2 up-charge, which still didn't account for all of the discrepancy. I won't be back. read more

My absolute favorite Chinese takeout in the area and even surrounding areas. We used to live close and now we live 40 minutes away from here and we still prefer to drive here rather than order from the places around us. They are always quick and efficient and the food is always the same consistent taste. I've never had a bad experience with any of my food here. It is always perfect. And the service matches the food! read more

Nice talkative staff!! Welcomed us to town :) our picky orders were accurate and yummy. Will order again for sure!

TERRIBLE SERVICE. I would give it 0 if I could. They gave me the wrong order. I didn't notice until I got home. I drove back 20 minutes to get the right food and they made me give the wrong order back. I hope that they didn't give it to someone else. That would be a major heath food violation. I will never order from there again. read more

Just look at how many Chinese Restaurants are named "Great Wall". And they're not part of a chain either, but I'm willing to bet you've either eaten in one or you've passed by one. And I'm willing to wager that most of 'em offer the same type of Americanized Chinese food with the same lunch specials. This particular Great Wall is no different. I stopped in here with some co-workers after a mornings' hiking. Yep, there was that same ol' lunch menu. Entree with fried or plain rice and your choice of egg roll or soup. I went for the chicken with Chinese vegetables and while the egg drop soup sounded mighty tempting, this girl's gotta have her egg roll! Now from my review, you might think I'm being derisive. The truth is, I'm not. These types of Chinese restaurants fulfill a role and that's to serve up their version of comfort food. My chicken was very good and the others left very satisfed too. All in all I'd rate ths Great Wall a solid 3.5 stars. read more

Our go-to when we need a Chinese food fix. As far as I understand, they're the only one who delivers in Mount Pleasant (could be wrong). Pretty standard fare with good prices. They're fast and friendly and that's what makes them stand out! read more

We ordered a vegetable lo Mein and it was absolutely fantastic. It was freshly cooked and the spice mix was delicious. 5/5 I will go back here if I ever come back to mount pleasant. read more

My husband had ordered us dinner from great Wall in Mt. Pleasant. As I was eating my fried rice, I noticed a black dead bug in my food. I called to let them know. The lady gets a gentleman on the line. He says they don't have bugs and wanted proof. So I took container and all including fork, The guy never came out of kitchen to speak with me. He let the girls up front handle it. They poked it saying eww, offered to make me new. I declined after that experience and asked for a refund. They only gave me $5 because I ate some. Definetly won't be ordering there again or eating Chinese food anytime soon. So gross! read more

Great food, fast, friendly service. What more can you ask for?

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant of all time. They are friendly, fast, and courteous. The reason I lole this place is most vegetable egg rolls anywhere else have a ton of veggies I dont like or cant eat. Here they basically just have cabbage in them. Also at most other Chinese restaurants fried rice is mixed with veggies and/or pieces of fried egg. Here they actually have just plain fried rice....my favorite. Even one time when I had an older messed up and was overcharged they spent time with me on the phone going over every single item to double check and it was found that they had made a mistake. They apologized for it and made it right. Now the only complaint I have ever had was tonight when I ordered. A few minutes after ordering, I discovered, I had nothing to drink in the house and wanted some pop to go with my meal so I call to add a 20oz Pepsi to my order. When I called they said they couldnt do it unless I was paying with cash because the rest of my order had already been charged to the bank card. I have no cash so I couldnt get it and now I have to eat a Chinese meal without a drink. There are ways to add to the order. How do they think they add a tip after you sign the slip when they deliver? I'm sorry but eating a meal without a drink is not cool. I normally have drinks in the house but I dont get paid until tomorrow and was using the last of my money to order some Chinese. read more

Very good place to get some Chinese food! If I just stop in on my way home from work and place my order they have my food ready to go in 10 min. Or less. A lot of different dishes & combos to choose from. read more

Worst food place ever! Called and ordered take out they brought the wrong food, when I called to tell them they sent me the wrong meal I was told by a very very rude and disrespectful employee that I should of specified which one I wanted instead she chose for me and charged me for the most expensive one on their menu instead of being a good customer service rep and asking which I'd prefer! We order from them quite often so at least one to four times a month which just last month they sent a menu with our order so when I questioned the prices they charged me against their menu prices they claimed I had a menu that is from 4 years ago how is that possible when I just moved to the area almost 2 years ago? And just received it with our last take out order! When I went to the establishment to get it corrected I was told they are a food place and can not return my money that I was stuck with something I didn't want and that I paid in full for! Was also told that it is my job to basically do their job as in totaling up my own order to make sure the total they give me is correct? I'm sorry but it is your job to give me a total and to ask questions as to which one I wanted to begin with! I order like I always do and always have and with confidence that I'm not gonna be weaseled out of my money like they just tried to do me! I would never recommend eating from this place especially if you would happen to get the wrong order they will fight you tooth and nail that your wrong and you won't see a cent of your money back! Never eat here! Their rude disrespectful people who won't do the right thing when it was completely 110% their fault! read more

I just love this place. I have been ordering delivery from them for 5 years and I am never disappointed. Food is good. They take me seriously when I say extra spicy. Delivery is fast...always. I recommend the Kung pao chicken. read more

The food here is really good. Service is really friendly. Out of the last 10+ years I've been coming here there hasn't been a time I didn't like what I got. You never wait any longer then 10min to get your food (if picking up). They are fast but they don't cut corners. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the seating in the place is small and tight. Not like most Chinese restaurant where you can feel comfortable sitting down to a good meal. read more

Great Wall in Mt Pleasant is our family's favorite Chinese place in town. The owners are always super friendly and their food is delicious. They have great customer service and the food is done quickly. I am obsessed with their crab rangoons-- I could eat those babies every day. I definitely recommend stopping there for take out asap! read more

This used to be our absolute favorite place to get Chinese style food, but I will never order from there again after our recent experiences. I called in to order on Friday night, asking when they closed. The girl on the phone said 9:30. No problem. I placed my order and sent my husband to get it, who had other errands to run. He finally got home at 10:30 and the order was wrong. Instead of beef they had sent chicken. I tried calling in but they were of course closed already. The next day I tried calling in again. The man on the phone argued with me about whether we had ordered or not, whether we had called in to tell them about the wrong order or not, and what time they closed. Even though the girl last night insisted on 9:30, he was adamant it was 10:30. Oooookay? He offered me extra beef on my next order, I declined because I really just wanted what we ordered in the first place. He finally offered me a replacement, but when we went to pick it up it was literally half a small cup. Not even the full small order. I'm so disappointed. We've been regular customers for years, and have overlooked other small problems (fried rice instead of white for example) but to be treated like I'm trying to scam them out of less than $10 is something I won't put up with. I'll also be telling my family and friends to be wary. read more
