The food was very hot and that's always something I notice when eating out. I had the orange chicken and there was plenty of orange flavor. I would say better than most Chinese take-out places I visit. Even the fried rice had a good flavor, which I often find to not be the case at other places. never order from that place again, the Lo Mein was so dry and was a stuck together bunch of noodles, the chicken pieces were just the size of a small finger nail, our egg foo young was burnt and the sauce was sooo salty you coundn't eat it. Very very very disappointed! We used to love this restaurant. Was our go to Chinese restaurant. But the food tonight was terrible. The beef with broccoli literally tasted like nothing. Tried the lunch buffet at this Chinese restaurant to see how it was like. It is one of the few Chinese restaurants in Latrobe. The restaurant is overall clean. The foods in the buffet serving area are neatly presented and regularly attended to. The staff is very friendly and quick with their service. For the $5.49 buffet, you get standard affair Chinese food. Nothing exceptional or unique. (Note: I'm from San Francisco and the Asian food varieties in the big city are night and day different as well as way more expansive. So I will rate this place considering the location being in a small town.). The food flavors are basic and hearty tasting. No complex flavors going on here. :) Overall, for the $5.49 price, you can't complain. It is not phenomenal nor bad. Just average. I would give this place 2.5 stars since the service outweighs the gourmet was of the food. I absolutely love this place. The lunch buffet is such an awesome deal at $6.50 for all you can eat, and the food is great. The price makes it seem questionable how good the food could be, but I've never had a poor experience here. Everything is hot, there is a variety of choices and it's consistently good. By far the best Chinese food takeout. We no longer order from anywhere else. The owner knows our names and can predict our entire order! One time when I didn't order my husband's food, she asked me several times if I was forgetting his dinner! Haha! So courteous, and willing to help me learn the proper way to pronounce certain words. I had a very quiet (we were the only guests) Valentine's Day early supper here. The server/host was very cordial and efficient in dealing with us. She kept our water glasses filled and served us complimentary spring rolls and crab Rangoon appetizers which were hot and delicious! Our pot of tea was strong and hot and hit the spot on a cold evening. My General Tso's Chicken was spicy, tasty and bountiful. I took half home for another meal. The other meal we tried was a Combination platter (only $6.50 which included Sweet and Sour Chicken (with sauce served on the side in a little bowl), Pork Fried Rice and an Egg Roll. The portion was a very good size and the taste was very good. The restaurant was very clean and neat. If I could give this place six stars, I would do so immediately. Don't get me wrong, the decor isn't amazing, but the staff and owner are very accommodating to customers. I've frequented this place since it opened, and the quality has remained consistent. Special orders don't upset this place, instead, it's taken as a challenge to be met. I've had food made with no sauce, little sauce, and so hot and spicy that extra condiments have been placed on the side. I occasionally go the lunch buffet, but have frequently gotten take out on Saturdays, and it's been consistently fine. I especially recommend the "Double Cooked Pork", a legendary dish that is filling and delicious. I love to call there and get greeted by name, and the confidence that the food will be prepared to my tastes...spicy! I've even gotten to try potential new items for the menu. Unlike so many other places in the area, where service is lackluster and indifferent, I was told to pick the food up in twenty minutes, and when it wasn't ready, I was given tea and offered a snack for my troubles. I declined the food but enjoyed the tea, and the hospitality. This, along with the reasonable prices, delicious food, and fantastic service, will keep my business forever! read more

The Buffet price is $4.99 so it is hard to really complain about it. Like Guarav said nothing made me cringe. But the selection is very limited, which actually works in your favor. Since they usually have a pretty good lunch crowd and with very little selection it stays pretty fresh. And the last BUT is just the selection is so limited that I would rather just pay the extra $2.00 and go to Greensburg where you get so much more. If your in a hurry and in the area and want a cheap lunch...go for it. If you have the time go to Greensburg to either Super Panda or China Star, for like $2.00 more and you get four times the selection and even the Mongolian Bbq where they grill it in front of you read more
