    Roach under a table

Customer service is horrible. I walk up to the counter and the lady didn't say a word both times I visited. I made a point to say "Hello, how are you" like I worked there. There's definitely an odor when you walk in but I ignored that telling myself it's a "seafood smell". There's not a lot of quality Chinese restaurants in the area & beggars can't be choosers. I came back a 3rd time despite those things because my daughter likes their lo mien. & Guess what.. a roach was on the floor. I just don't feel good about eating here. Definitely my last time.

i've heard about this place for yearssss by locals and have been wanting to try it out. and since i've been craving crab rangoons I decided to finally place a to go order here! I've only ever tried general tso chicken from one place before and I did not like it, but I wanted to give it another try. so I ordered the general tso chicken from here, and wow it was good! my husband liked it as well. We got the dinner combo that came with pork fried rice and an egg roll. the rice was cooked *perfectly* and was not soggy by the time we got home. the egg role, *delectable* and veryyyy flavorful. I actually don't like egg roles either, I prefer fried spring rolls any day over them. but I wasn't sure if it was an option to sub the egg role for fried spring roll so I kept it and i'm glad I did!!! and last but not least what I originally came here for, the crab rangoons, heavenly. i'll definitely be back next time i'm craving chinese!!

Perfectly-cooked rice every time, in addition to peas and carrots.

Okay, nearly every Chinese restaurant in the area has a review citing some non-existent report about fish, chicken or something else being "seen taken out of an employee's car." #FakeNews Anyway, Great Wall is one of my go-to places for some nice, hot Shrimp Fried Rice. I first went to them about a year ago (pictures attached), eating it with some leftover tilapia while burning the midnight oil on a freelance project. The rice is firm, the shrimp are huge and the vegetables are nice and crisp, just as I like it. So I'm always happy with my food here.

Chinese heaven!! Food is delicious here and the lady at the counter is so nice. This place reminded me of the Chinese spot I use to go to back in New York. First time I tried this place I ordered broccoli with garlic sauce and white rice. Garlic sauce was on point, spicy and sweet but not too spicy and just the right amount. My fiancé ordered the sesame chicken with egg fried rice, (another fav dish of mine), so I had to try it too. It was really good, chicken and rice was delicious. By far this place tops all the Chinese restaurants I've been too. Definitely coming back because of the great tasting food.

Was pleasantly surprised! My food was made to order, was fresh and they don't go overboard with the breading on meat. Would order again.

While the service at Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant is friendly the food itself is not fairly average. We ordered the Triple delight and eggrolls to share as we tend to order too much food when trying a new spot -- a major disappointment absolutely no taste, meat, rice bland. if you are looking for authentic flavor profiles, distinct savory sauces, or consistent spice levels, this is just standard, run-of-the-mill takeout quality. It is not decent for a quick, budget-friendly lunch special, but it is certainly not the best in town. Don't let the parking lot fool you as it was full but definitely not patrons of this restaurant.

The first time, I simply made do with what I received. This time, I contacted the company because several items were incorrect. The gentleman who initially answered the phone was sweet as pie and tried to assist, but unfortunately, he didn't have a resolution for my issue. Shortly after we hung up, I received a call from someone who stated that he was the owner. He was initially very apologetic, and I sent him pictures showing what I ordered versus what I actually received. He explained that DoorDash posts the pictures of the food, not his company. He offered to refund me for two items, but I explained that I still wasn't satisfied because the one item I did receive was room temperature at best. At that point, the entire order was essentially a loss. When I asked for a full refund, I was told that I needed to return the food. I explained that the food had already been delivered, so I wasn't sure how I was expected to return it. That's when the conversation completely changed. The owner accused me of trying to get money from his company, said I was manipulating them, continued making disrespectful comments, and ultimately hung up in my face. That part bothered me more than the incorrect order. Mistakes happen. Food gets mixed up. Orders can be prepared incorrectly. I can understand all of that. What I don't understand is making a customer feel as though they are dishonest or trying to take advantage of your business simply because they are asking for a resolution to a problem. At the end of the day, my family still didn't have dinner, I paid for an order that was not properly fulfilled, and the biggest concern seemed to be defending the business rather than providing customer service. I genuinely wish the outcome had been different because I try to support small businesses whenever I can. But customer service matters especially when something goes wrong. How you handle the mistake can leave a much bigger impression than the mistake itself.

When we finally got seated we weren't asked What would you like to drink or this is our drink menu. It was-Water,right,right,Ok brb. So we had water just like the rest of the people in there. Also weird how they don't have any drinks on the menu or let you know about options. Could I have asked for something else? Sure but again waitresses were just all over the place it was crazy. When we ordered and others food was coming out we realized what big portions they give you. BTW just 'cus it's big portions doesn't mean This food is about to be the best Ive ever had. The food- We got some shrimp plate and we were told it was spicy because it has peppers and peppercorns which would numb your tongue which it was just basic shrimp dish. Only good or cool part of it was eating lotus root which Ive never had before. We also ordered the "special" house beef noodles and I don't see the hype or why they're so special. The only crazy part was the noodles length. Which honestly made it hard to eat. We ordered the duck which came with the soup. The soup was made from scraps. I think if they had added more duck and not just scraps it would be my fav thing of everything we ordered. Will say it tasted like chicken soup. For the duck. It wasn't as crispy as people made it seem to be. I expect idk a more gamey flavor to it and all I kept saying is-This taste like pork carnitas. Idk why we got treated than the table behind us. We asked for to go just like they do but they just gave them their to-go plates like Here ya go and they put all of our food in our to-go for us. Would I go back? In a place like Houston, where you can get authentic Vietnamese food, this can be a luck draw if the fusion pays off. However, when I tried the food, it was a very flavorful and worth every cent I spent. Everything was very tasty. The wings were flavorful and crisp. It had a combination of crispy skin seasoned with a rich sauce. The meat was also moist. For a party of two, it was also very shareable because they gave six pieces -both drums and wings. I will say that you really gotta to get in there get your hands and face dirty though! (They did provide a hand wipe!) For the main dishes, the won tonic soup was very flavorful with sweet-and-sour elements with egg noodles that soaked up all this good flavor. The wontons inside were very standard. And the onion was added to provide some balance. Everything was very hardy and filling. My friend had gotten the vermicelli. Which came with crunchy egg rolls, shredded veggies, noodles, and shrimp topped with a fish sauce. It felt very light and refreshing with a balance of textures and savory elements'. Highly recommend as the number one and two selling dishes - it would just depend on if you're in a soup or dry noodle sort of mood. Service was overall fast and friendly. You have to pay by going to the counter. We had a newer waiter though, and it took him a long time to get our orders correctly and he had to get some help. Hopefully they're doing well, but overall, it's a very cute Homie little establishment. Seating fits around 30 around booths and tables.
