    C22 89. Hunan Beef combo
    Vicki A.

So, Door Dash sent me a deal I couldn't refuse. But lazy so went local. Got Hunan beef combo C22 ( really good) and curry chicken 63. The C22 was so hot and fresh. Beef tender. Egg roll crunchy. And chose the chicken fried rice which ended up being my favorite of everything. The chicken and rice was fine. Veggies in both good. Neither spicy (I want spicy!). Will go back. Also-check out their lunch specials-great deal!

The Walnut Shrimp (or as I like to call it, "Honey walnut shrimp") is the best in the area. We also love the crab rangoon. High quality food and very kind staff.

I've been in Madison for work for the past 3 weeks and have been to Taste of Sichuan several times…read moreeach week! It's been consistently good, with extremely fast service. The food is mostly Sichuan, with some American Chinese staples as well. It's also a huge space, so you'll never have problem getting a table. They do a lot of takeout business as well. I highly recommend the spicy Sichuan chicken (with tongue-numbing peppercorn), the Chongqing chicken, home style tofu, and spicy green beans. I also brought several colleagues who enjoyed Taste of Sichuan very much, and returned themselves!

The server who took our order was very friendly. I was hesitating about whether to add more dishes, and he honestly told me that what we ordered should be enough. He was right--we couldn't even finish it! The restaurant space is quite large, and most of the customers seemed to be students from the nearby area. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the front desk staff had a pretty bad attitude. I called earlier to ask if the restaurant was open, and her responses were impatient, and she even hung up the phone abruptly. That really affected the overall experience. Overall, the food is good and the portions are great, but the customer service at the front desk needs improvement.

The food was OK. Nothing too amazing, but it is a solid spot for cheap eats. The broth was…read moredelicious, but it felt like it was missing something...I also wish that the dish came with more veggies / meat. It felt like most of the dish was just the noodles, and it was not balanced (ended up not finishing the noodles). Service is very straightforward. You order up front, and they deliver the food to you. After that, you put away your dishes/trash. Very standard noodle shop. Nothing too crazy. We came in at a pretty empty time (near 8pm), so service was not packed. It is a standard restaurant with standard seating options. Standard vibes only.

I appreciated that they had a clear window so you could see them making the handpulled noodles and the prices were fair, especially for state street. We got the braised beef noodle which was wonderful. Rich broth, very tender meat, which could have had thicker pieces, but I was pretty impressed with the flavor of the soup. It might have been that it was a particularly cold day and it just hit, but it worked. The pan fried dumplings were okay. The dough was a little thick and there wasn't any soup in them. Overall, I don't think there is another hand pulled noodle place in Madison, at this price and area, so I would say I'm a fan and it's worth trying.
