Ordered 2 entrees as take out, mixed hibachi and shrimp fried rice and 2 orders of spring rolls. Was charged $45. The mixed Hibachi did not come with rice and shrimp fried rice had 6 shrimp and perhaps slightly over 1.5 cups of cooked rice. Definitely not worth the price charged, no explanation offered as to why the hibachi entree did not include rice. Will not return and will not recommend others do business here. Sad. read more

Food was great definitely the best place I have found around the Bettenforf area so far. Service was decent it's a couple younger teenagers helping out so feel the service does decline at certain points or they just forget but keeping in mind they are teenagers. Very quiet location and small inside if you're wanting to stay and eat. The price was decent for the amount of food that we got some may feel as though they are over priced. Overall i will be going back to try more menu items. read more

This is a gem from the trip through the Quad City! On our way from Chicago to Kansas, we found this restaurant not far from Costco after gas. 5 of us ordered the fire dragon roll, and we tried 6 rolls with the 3 roll for 12.95 deal; They were all amazingly good! Amy was so sweet to give us good suggestions and customized the chicken fried rice for my little one, he enjoyed it a lot! All the fish are so fresh and rice was so good! The environment is quite and soothing and all staff there are pleasant. I will definitely stop by again if I ever come to Quad City. read more

I pick up from Sakura way too often not to write a review. Omg, so good. So, so good. Love all their speciality rolls, Snow Mountain, Aloha, Golden Dragon, Fujiyama, etc are amazing and crave inducing. Excellent hibachi as well. Steak, chicken and veggie, all delicious. They've done a great job adapting to covid protocols as well, and it feels super safe to pick up. Also they're very quick. From order to pick up is 20 minutes at most. When you enter it may seem like you've come to the wrong place, but you have come to the correct place indeed. You'll be surrounded by panel/plywood as you enter the second door. It appears as though it's take out only. Someone comes up to the window and will ask if you're there for dine in or for a pick up. If you're there to dine in, they will tell you to walk through the make shift door. Though I'm posting this June 2022 this was around March 2022. I watched the rest of the customers that came in during my time there all have the same responses. A surprised look of, "where did all this seating come from?" The meal was delicious. We ordered hibachi chicken with lo mein noodles and white rice. Sweet potato rolls which might not have been on the menu but they are my all time favorite. I think the other roll we ordered was a California roll. Overall it was a good experience and we will be back for more! read more

This was my 3rd time getting food (takeout) and they do not disappoint. The sushi was fresh and delicious. The hibachi chicken was fantastic! They even give you yum yum sauce without asking. Reliable and satisfying meal, very sizable portions. I will be back again. read more

Just moved to the QCA from Chicago and sooo glad we found a place with great quality fish AND we had the absolute kindest server, Maddie. The restaurant is cozy and bright. We ordered a few rolls which were tasty and well made, but the sashimi (we had salmon and white tuna) just absolutely stood out. When the fish is that good, it's almost a shame to put anything on it :) We said hi and thank you to the owners and it's obvious their attention to detail, quality and service. Great little find! As noted in prior reviews, when you first go in the place it seems as it's take out only. However, it is not. The lady working was very friendly, and our food was delivered to our table hot and fresh. Love love love this place! Whether it is pickup or dining in, the food is always delicious and the service is always fast and pleasant. The general ambiance of the restaurant is pretty peaceful and is a nice place to unwind and enjoy food by yourself or with friends. Due to COViD-19 we did take out. The food was great! The sushi was really good. I got the three roll meal with the philly, yellowtail, and spicy tuna rolls. The food here is always delicious, I love the chicken hibachi with vegetables and the fried rice is so flavorful every time I could eat it plain I swear!! The sushi is so tender it's as if it melts in your mouth, this is one of the few places I'll get sushi from as I'm quite picky. Service can sometimes be a bit on the slow end but I always have fresh, hot food so I assume it's just because they're so busy and loved. Awesome way of managing the latest safety protocols. You can enter the restaurant discretely through the pick up area or remain in the makeshift isolation vestibule for a pick up. One of us had the vegetable fried rice, which was not heavy or greasy. The other had the three-roll presentation with spicy tuna, hamachi and Philadelphia role. They spontaneously produced a bottle of gluten-free soy sauce (ie; tamari) when asked, without complaint or quizzical expression. Everything was tasty. The chefs/staff are skilled and friendly. Added bonus: clean bathrooms. Finding ourselves back in the area, I must say this would be my first pick for eating out. read more

Can't say enough good things about Sakura express. They're so close, and they have orders up quickly. We call ahead since there's currently no dining-in option. (COVID) They recently put up some plexiglass walls so your pickup will be totally contact free, you'll pay ahead over the phone and they'll call you when it's ready. The friendliness of the staff, the quality of the fish, everything is perfect. We've ordered here literally at least 40 times and they've never gotten anything on our order wrong! read more

Best place in the QC for sushi! We absolutely love this place!! After our first visit we come here almost every week. If we don't go here we tend to order it for delivery through Order2Eat!!! Delivery sushi!!! It is usually pretty quiet, but it can get a bit busy on Friday nights when we have been there. When you walk in you get to decide where you would like to sit which is always nice. The seats and tables are always clean when we come in and the bathroom is always clean unlike most places. Pros: Always fresh!! (Most important factor with the Sushi). Customization is available to any and all sushi rolls and food! They are very accommodating which is amazing! The staff is amazing here. Since we come in often they remember us and remember what we order unless we change it to something new. Best crab rangoons we have ever had. They don't even need to be dipped in anything! We have tried a lot of the menu so far and have loved absolutely everything we have tried! All foods are also cooked to order which guarantees they are hot and fresh. This is my new favorite place for sushi. Everything has been so fresh, and the prices are reasonable for freshly made sushi. I've tried their hibachi, and it was ok, but the fried rice was kind of greasy in my opinion. Really, the only reason I keep returning is the sushi. The service is friendly but not particularly quick. However, they do take out and theres also a service where you can have it delivered through a third party. There's not a lot of seating, and it feels like you're in a small take-out restaurant, but it's still so good! I have yet to eat in the restraint but due to COVID-19 I have order takeout out here for all my sushi cravings! They have been pretty busy with a 30min - 1hr wait time from order to pick up but they sushi has been so fresh and so good every time! Each time I've ordered it has been made exactly as I've asked! It usually takes about 4 or 5 times calling back to back in order to get through on the line, but I think they are managing the busy wave very well! Absolutely recommend! read more

We came in one day for lunch and it was pretty quiet, we were the only table in there. The cashier/waitress was amazing with all her suggestions since we had never been there before. We started with the pork gyoza for an appetizer and they were amazing! One side is steamed and the other side seemed to be pan seared so you got the best of both worlds. I chose the chicken hibachi and he chose the general tso's chicken. My favorite was definitely my dish but his wasn't bad either. The chicken hibachi is cooked in a light brown sauce, I don't know what it was, but it comes with brown rice and a ton of veggies! Yum! The service was great and the food was even better.
