There is a Walmart nearby hopefully you can get one there. If you're a tea drinker and don't like Keurig, bring your own kettle. Had a fabulous long weekend here with the kids. This place has everything for the little ones. I highly recommend getting the paw pass, my kids had so many activities to do with it. The staff was very friendly. Helped us find a lost magic wand. The offered free cupcakes and lemonade during the Sunday dance party. The food was very good, we ordered a lot of grub from the pool side restaurant... poutines were so yummy, pizza from the pizzeria was delicious and would get delivered to our room and not over priced. The ice cream was so good, natural without any crazy colors or artificial flavors. My kids loved the cotton candy. The bowling area gets hot and I complained to a staff member. It was easily over 29c or 80f in there, the air conditioning needs to get fixed immediately. My kids loved the arcade and the cub club, it was nice for the little ones to have an area to chill out from the water park and play with toys and color free of charge. The water park is impressive, it's the second largest great wolf... 1st is in California. The area around the resort is very old and worn. We saw some homeless people and abandoned buildings but we felt safe during the day but I wouldn't walk around at night with children in the city. Over the course of the weekend from our stay, thank God I checked my bank account balance. I had over 5 thousand dollars taking out from my account due to a "glitch" in the system. Yes, I was angry and still am because the money is still not put back into my account as mentioned from front care staff as mentioned over 24 to 48 hrs. I was not the only one whom encountered this as there was other guests that encountered the same problem as I. I did not get an apology from a manger as there never seem to be one around or yet, never introduced him or herself to guests?!? Therefore, I would like to know where my missing money from my account is and will I be compensated for this? As for our room, there was massive cobwebs above the curtains walking out to the patio, just an fyi. That was gross! Our check-in went well until it got messed up. We received our package with guest bracelets and meal plans, with our room number being 3094, when we realized our bracelets did not work on the door. We went to the front desk to get the issue resolved to find out that, our room number was wrong, when it should have been number 3088 and we had to get our bracelets re-programmed to the correct room. This is my first time to Great Wolf Lodge. I have to say from my past many experiences of indoor water parks GWL will have to be the best. Compared To Americana and Fallsview Waterpark. However you get what you pay. GWL is the most expensive of the 3 waterpark resorts. GWL does cater to kids from their daily kids activities to the kids clubs. We came for Halloween weekend so it was super busy. The waterpark was busy but it wasn't extremely crowded. We didn't get the theme cabin rooms. We got the standard double 2 beds room with a pull out couch which can sleep 6 people. The room is huge!! The ceilings were up to 12 feet high. Although the room is very plain it's huge in size. There was a trick or treat event, followed by story time and then a Halloween monster dance party. My girls had an amazing time. I like the fact that you never have to leave the lodge everything is here for you. We enjoyed the indoor waterpark. Lots of great water slides with tube rides. Also a wave pool with a lazy river. It truly is a great place to come with the kids. I took one star off because they need better dining options. The food is not that great here. Booked a night in the Fall with a Wagjag deal that includes a themed room, $25 dining credit and $25 shopping credit. It turned out to be a great mini getaway for the family and the kids want to come back :) We checked in after 3pm on Friday and only left at 6pm the next day. You could stay till the park closes at 9.30pm. The room was clean and comfortable with a bed, couch, coffee table and small dining table. The kids cabin has a narrow bunk bed and can sleep kids up to 12/13 yo comfortably. The bathroom is small but adequate. Dining is limited to snack/fast food type of bars/cafe and there's a buffet restaurant. We had the buffet for breakfast and that's the only meal we had in the resort. Going to Niagara town is only 10 mins away by car and we brought our own snacks and water. Note that you can't bring outside food and drinks into the waterpark. Now the waterpark, it's large and has something for all ages. It's a well thought out park for the entire family, unless you don't want to get wet then you just have the arcade! There are many slides, some scary, some not so. The Wooly Mammoth slide was our family's fav as we can all go down in a large tube like snow tubing. The Crystal River, which is a lazy stream that you float in sitting in a large single or double tube, is another favourite. There's an interactive scavenger hunt game that the kids can play around the resort (indoors) when they're not in the water. The game requires a wand and it will set you back $35-$48 dollars depending on the wand and wand topper you pick out. I used the shopping credit towards it and paid $29. It bought my kids hours of roaming the 3 floors to complete the multiple quests. The game does require that the child knows how to read and decipher clues. Many younger children were accompanied by their parents. Me, I just lounged in my room or in one of their lounge areas. 4 stars because it delivered in terms of fun and entertainment for the family. This weekend they're renovating the showers/change room not even a heads up. So you change outside in the rain and cold. In a portopotty Got there early(ok check in is at 4), but you can use waterpark starting at 1. Check out is at 11.... My issue - no warning about the renovation. A big "sorry for the inconvenience", either have my room ready early so i can shower change appropriately, or comp/discount the late checkout so i can change/shower the kids properly... clean rooms. nice waterpark rides. however, check in was slow slow slow! the online check-in line was three times as fast but i booked through Expedia and wasn't able to do that. moreover, the waterpark seemed understaffed and too cautious compared to other Great Wolfs. My daughter can swim but she is shy of 42". at this great wolf she was denied access to many of the slides that she is used to doing at other GWL! There was constant delays with the little kid slides because there was only one spotter below for 4 slides. the outside was closed even though it was 88*F outside. with day pass people it was also overcrowded except in the morning. disappointing also was that the dance party had no lead person... just music playing. story time was very good with a good lead. breakfast buffet was very good and our two kids under 4 were free. nice also was the fact the park opens at 9 am so you can actually swim before checkout. locker rental was a pain having to use the gift shop instead of an automated kiosk. read more

This is my second visit to a Great Wolf, first visit was to the one in Williamsburg, Virgina. Staff is friendly and helpful, facilities clean. I did not like the buffet at either location. Food seems like its been out too long and does not look appetizing. Its not an issue for me as we always dine out. The other negative is how expensive a visit is. I never stay for more than one night, yet its always $400 or over. I love Great Wolf Lodge. My children and I always have a great time here which is why I am giving it the star rating I did. There is so much to do and the entire resort and stay is geared towards kids and family. You walk in and the lobby is like a Disney scale of Bugaboo Creek with creatures coming alive and talking all over!! They have story time twice a day, an awesome water park, and a kids club where parents can do inexpensive crafts with the kids or drop them off for some alone R&R time! When I came as a kid, I was ecstatic. A weekend of fun with "animals" and water slides? I'm all about it. I came back this weekend.. with no kids. Yup, my boyfriend and I just wanted a weekend of fun because we love water slides (mostly him, because he lacked a childhood) Pulling up, the lodge was beautiful. Legit looked like something out of the woods. Definitely a cute spot for a fam jam, with total wooden lodge feels. Checking in was efficient and they offered a meal plan (most people said they just serve junky and not so yummy food so we passed). Our room was very spacious, clean and open, even had a balcony. They also offer rooms that kids will love, like they have a whole treehouse inside with bunk beds. Definitely a splurge. By the way, did I mention it costs usually $500-600 a night to stay here? Needless to say, it's mostly affluent Caucasian families with an abundance of kids that are entitled to whatever they want. The water park was okay. More fun if you're a kid, kind of whatever as an adult. Here are individual ratings of the slides, if you're debating if it's worth it to go. Wolf tail- 2/5 looks more fun than it is. There's NO line for this because it sucks. You're dropped and instantly waterlogged. You feel like you're drowning and end up underwater at the bottom with families that are waiting for their kids gaping at you. I felt like I lost consciousness briefly. Niagara rapids run - 5/5 best one there. It goes so fast and feels like a rollercoaster. Pro tip- go with someone heavy and you will get air on those drops. My butt wasn't too happy about that but shit, it was lit. Bobcat falls - 5/5 again go with someone heavy and you'll go fast, you feel like you're going to die. We flipped off at the end but it was super thrilling. Vortex 3/5 - fun, classic toilet bowl slide but my neck dislocated probably 4 times because it drops you into the bowl. It was definitely fun though! Wooly mammoth- 1/5 don't go on this unless you have 4 heavy adults. It goes so slow and I got nauseous because we were too light and it was swirly and spinning. The rest of the slides were okay and not super memorable/worth mentioning. They also have a lazy river, which is logged with kids pushing and screaming. NOT a relaxing place to be. Also this place def knows how to make $$$. $18 for a pizza because you know your kids are gonna be hungry after this. Meal plans. Spa for kids where manis cost around the same as when I actually go get my nails done. And your credit card is attached to your wristband so people are more inclined to spend money out of convenience.. Overall, for kids this is an awesome experience and you're definitely 'parent goals' if you take your kids here and have that kind of money to spend. The lobby even turns into a dance floor for kids at night, it's great. I would not recommend coming here without children. Unless you want to deal with kids screaming and running everywhere, in the hallways of your hotel room at 12am or 7am in the morning. Please stop. CONTROL YOUR KIDS. Most people that come here are so wealthy, they all feel entitled to certain things and that includes letting their kids run free and push people out of the way as they go chill in the outdoor adult hot tub (oh yeah, that's a thing here too. I think this is my lucky day! I got invited by my friend to spend a weekend at The Great Wolf Lodge for free... Kids.. the Water Park was full of kids....Screaming kids! The water slides are fun though.... I screamed when I went down the highest and fastest slide... I need to scream louder than the kids... way louder!! The food was kind of disappointing... but I guess the kids love the fries.. the chicken nuggets... for lunch?! Dinner Buffet at least have better varieties.. but I dream about having a gourmet dinner at one of the Wineries instead.... Had a corporate weekend here. Seemed that everyone had a great time. Not having kids we were able to do a few more things outside the hotel. Like dinner, casinos and sightseeing. But over all the staff was great and very helpful when we had questions. They put our group in our own little block section of rooms as to not be disturbed by others guests and I am sure vice versa! The only part about going during the winter time was that so did everyone else. The lines were long but manageable. So "off season" 1.They got a new drop slide(forgot name sorry) that screwed us up last time because they weren't attentive to the patrons who wanted to ride mammoth, so I complained, the attendant is now down 3 flights directing traffic, before we waited for a solid 10 minutes before being told to move up and over. 2. Last time we got our room right at 4 which was a big pi88 off, but then my sister told me she asked for a specific room(wtf, I'm getting mad at staff cause it's taking forever and you had your pre-Madonna request, but they could have told me I had some stupid request in, I would have changed it to nvm give me first available) 3. I'm scared to go to fallsview because I think that's for the "big kids." 4. The buffet dinner is top notch at antler shanty anyone that says differently is a shill review.($24/adult is expensive) 5. Water slides, water park, bowling, arcade, buffet, cub club, story time, magic quest, mini-golf, probably a couple more things I'm forgetting. I've emailed head office, keep telling them to turn it into DVC/time share and they never entertain my idea. If i'd want to turn it into a DVC/time share-esq place it must be worth the hype. This is the Greatest resort for the whole family just a shirt cross over the rainbow bridge! We had a large family suite for 8 people! A king bed room and a kitchenette with a micro wave and fridge, table top seating for 6 plus 2 queen size beds, I full bath. Buffet breakfast and dinner was full of great choices to please everyone! The kids loved the arcade and the bowling ally. Story time every night for kids. The water slide area is Huge from kiddy size wadding area to bigger slides for older kids. This place was also nice from it's constant 84 degrees ALL year long. Every morning at the lodge we ate breakfest at Antler Shanty Grub which was very delicous and there was a large variety of breakfest foods. Earlier when we booked are suite we chose the Ripley's Believe It or Not package which allowed us breakfest every morning during our stay... so book early! During our stay it was Canada Day so the whole lodge was decorated with Canadian spirit. The whole lodge was very clean. Came here with the Girl Scouts to find that the outdoor hot tub was closed due to a "blizzard". There is no blizzard and this is the Niagara region where snow is very common. We asked about the adult hot tub and why we couldn't go in there. It is now a rental. If you rent the cabana you get the hot tub with it. They should have left that open to accommodate all the adults who couldn't go in the outdoor hot tub. It's all about money. was fortunate to come here in the summer time for an experience I won't forget. back when I was a kid, I used to kill summer vacation at the water park in our town, to the point where it drove some family members crazy, I love to swim and I love slides. this lodge would have been the ultimate location for my family and I to go to growing up as a kid, especially in the winter time AS this is completely indoors. a tad bit overwhelming on the inside of the building and drive up, finding parking was easy enough even though the parking lot was massive. upon entry into the lodge i couldn't help but notice everything on the inside looked like the outside WOOD EVERYWHERE and cabins as well. some kids were doing the wolf initiation which was really cool to see. this lodge has everything and anything, games room, arcade, gym, spa, restaurant, mini putt, hot tubs, you name it, its here, minus one thing that I will get to later. I was quickly rushed to the indoor water park portion which was overwhelmingly huge when I saw everything happening and going on, within a couple of minutes I kept hearing this pinging noise, with the same spacing of ping vs. non ping, and I looked up to see a barrel topple over and the pinging stopped, almost like a warning that the topple was coming, this ringing I was able to hear throughout the whole park, which kind of sucked. we threw everything in our room and went to the water park, this water park was almost perfect, the only thing that would have made this perfect would have been a pool of water with a deep end of 6 to 7 feet, this park is temperature controlled and very well balanced from the front to the back, once you got out of the water, you weren't feeling cold, because the ambient air was keeping you warm with the humidity. it was really weird coming to a park and not having to put on sunscreen. 2 days and 1 night came by really quick staying here. the food is good, the ribs at dinner was my absolute favorite out of everything I ate. the staff are super friendly, and everything is spotless. the lockers at the park are a very nice touch and surprisingly they are plastic, so they will never rust with the high humidity of the park. a couple of recommendations. bring some snacks/light meals to help out in-between meals, our package didn't come with a lunch option. if your kids don't swim, they will still have a lot of activities. tim hortons is down the street if you need a coffee. make sure to scan your bracelet every time you ride a slide get a locker take advantage of the towel system. try the pork ribs, they are to die for. if you have kids, make sure they do the treasure hunt, that will keep them busy for a couple of hours. overall it was a really great experience and nice to get away for a couple of days, really happy that this happened. read more

On Wednesday night 2/22 we ate dinner in the Buffett. Our waiter, I believe his name was Jim C, he was AMAZING. My son has Celiac Disease, so he is very limited to what he can eat. A few minutes later he came right back with some delicious pizza for my son. It is so hard to to be able to eat out and find the proper food for him. But we had no problem here. To be fair I am reviewing this resort as an adult because I've never been and Im an independent man so I'll go where I want. I'm well aware this is a "family" resort targeted for children. Room/building: 4 stars. It is all done very well from the exterior elements to the interior elements. Everything looks like a "Lodge" and gives you that outdoors adventure kind of feeling without actually being anything related to the wilderness. Although some of the carpet/decor is starting to show some age, all of it has held up pretty well. Waterpark: 3.5 stars. Its a pretty decent water park. Water is a little too warm for me but that's ok. Everything is kept relatively clean and maintained. The tubeless slides could use some work as the seams on the slide joints were a little sharp and could use some fibreglass maintenance to make them smooth again. I'm just worried someone's going to get cut up at one point. Also Wolf Tail is all hype. You ever wanted to experience what it's like to drown? Don't plug your nose and keep your eyes open on this ride. I can guarantee some trauma. You're not allowed goggles either. The line is short for this for a reason. General: Overall 2.5 stars. Food on site is as expected, overpriced for what it is. You can Uber eats or just drive down the road and pick up much better food for way cheaper. Ex. A questionable pepperoni and cheese pizza is $18+tax (no size???) But you can get a fresh large 3 topping and cheese pizza down the street for like $15+tax. It is a kids resort after all, so you'll have children from all ages running and screaming around you in the waterpark and resort portion of the building. You'll have those parents who let their children loose with no supervision and zero manners because they think they're paying for babysitting. Some parents just sit on the side and drink a pitcher of beer as their spawn ruins everyone's experience. Also at this resort, sleep is for the weak. There is no quiet sleeping in. Kids start screaming and running down the halls right before 9am before the park opens. Overall: I had a decent time on all the large water slides but damn there's a lot of stairs. I got a pretty good deal for my stay but I don't know if it would be worth it during those holiday pricing. read more

I finally experienced my first visit to the Great Wolf Lodge. I think there was too much hype, too much expectation and too much build up of thinking it would be the best place ever. Boy was i ever wrong. I gave them 3 stars because i absolutely LOVED the waterpark, my kids loved the waterpark, but it ended there for us. This is where they fell short for me: #1 - it costs near a da*n arm & leg to stay there! I get it, the waterpark passes are included, but a suite should not cost $800 a night unless i have a concierge or free room service. Geez, it only had 1 washroom. The beds were fairly comfortable, but within the options for 4 of us to stay there we paid a lot. #2 - You're supposed to receive an email prior to your arrival with important info for check in. Well that e-mail didn't bother to tell us the entrance was under construction. Nor did it explain check out time vs how long you can stay at the waterpark after check out. Check in was a pain because we had a huge hike from the car to the front desk and there were no trolley's for us to put our luggage on. It took us 5-6 trips - with no help. At check in we asked lots of questions and we were rushed off to our room. Basically it was "here's your key, enjoy your stay". We had to call down 3-4 times to get some answers to questions we had. #3 - The food! OMG! This was the biggest disappointment. For dinner, we had food inside the waterpark. Overcooked fries & chicken tenders. They were so overcooked they were slightly blackened. That or the oil they were fried in was very old. No ice for our drinks, pop was flat. When we brought it to the young girls attention, she shrugged her shoulders and told us to speak to the front desk. Fine, we decided we would do that at check out the next day. In the morning we had the breakfast buffet. Nothing to write home about here, for me the quality was equivalent to hospital food or school cafeteria food. As was the ambience and overall feel of the dining area. We decided to pass on having lunch there the day we checked out. Too expensive and not somewhere i would pay to eat at if i ever decide to go back. #4 - Check out/front desk. We brought up a list of concerns & issues that were not resolved during our stay. The young man at the front desk couldn't get us the shift manager to speak to, but found an even younger gentleman to "help" us. We mentioned who checked us in and how none of our questions were addressed after we explained it was our first visit. The shift manager called out to the guy who checked us in and called him out on everything we brought up. It was a bit embarrassing to witness right in front of us. He could've pulled him aside and talked to him discreetly. We brought up our dinner issues the day before as well and he said we could wait 30 min for the food/beverage manager. 30 min?!?! No refund offered, barely an apology for the concerns and issues we had. We weren't impressed at all. They need some training in people skills & customer service skills, but i guess i shouldn't expect any better when everyone working there looks like they are teenagers. Our kids loved the waterpark, but i wish they had a bigger space for kids 4 & under to enjoy. I love that they have life jackets for the kids, made my youngest feel secure. A lot of older kids were running and splashing the water in the shallow area where the kids slides are. They were also taking the balls away from all the younger kids. I mentioned something to the lifeguard and her response was "you can find more in the pool on the other side" Yeah thanks Captain Obvious, but my 3.5 yr old can't swim or go in deep water to play with a ball. Bottom line, go have a blast. Don't waste your money on the big fancy rooms or dining there. It is less than a 10 min drive to the hustle & bustle of Lundy's Lane & Clifton Hill. Will i go back? I'm a very valued wolf pack member (with a gold almost platinum status) we started coming to your lodge for many years now and noticed several changes, thanks to Covid19, some good and some bad. Let's start with the bad first, prices are insanely high compared to pre-covid levels for both the stay and activities and all the extra "up charges" for the paw pass such as $2 for colour wands (that used to be free), $5 extra fee for a stuff animal (when it was free with paw pass--yes i understand the lodge animals are paw pass worthy only, but this makes zero sense). Let's not even talk about the prices of merchandise in the store are sky high and the same merch at a different place (the exact same product just different company logo) is much cheaper. Secondly, the staff aren't properly trained in dealing with guest satisfaction. An example of this is the rude behaviour exhibited by most staff members at the buffet restaurant. The cook and worker were having a conversation and as I asked for some Pea-meal bacon the cook kind seemed perturbed at the fact that I interrupted the conversation. I also noticed that most staff have changed since the closure and understand how hard it must have been for some to return, but every single staff member has changed or hasn't returned which leads me to think the management here doesn't care about employee satisfaction or retention. Now let's talk about the positive changes I have noticed. The cleaning and sanitization is great to see and feels good to see to be honest, personally feel a little safer from that as well. Lastly, this trip was a complete down spiral for my family and I until we met Katrina from Cub Club. She has turned our mini vacation totally around by making us feel very welcomed and as her own family. This is not the first time that I have emailed about her great customer service work to make guests feel welcomed. Last time was about 4 years ago when she was just a worker and not in a supervisor role. We always look forward to coming to the lodge in order to see her and feel a sense of home away from home from her hospitality. If I ran a hotel resort, I defiantly would try to take her away as an employee because I think she possesses the best qualities of a great employee/supervisor/manager role that any employer should embrace and welcome with open arms, especially the higher the role. So this place comes very highly recommended. We were super excited because we'd never been to any Great Wolf property before and this one is close to Niagara Falls, so we figured we could make it a great combo trip. I'll give you the pros and cons - even though there are a lot of cons- you can make your own decision. Pros: friendly staff, very helpful. I know a lot of others complain about this but we didn't have a bad experience with any of the workers. Room was clean albeit musty and very dimly lit (I think this is due to their energy conservation efforts). Water park was fun and varied, they had stuff for kids of all ages, as well as adults. The water slides were very fun and the wait times weren't long enough to spur the experience. Mini golf was cute and not crowded when we went. Location and proximity to the falls and downtown was very convenient. Gift shops had a lot to offer and prices for drinks and snacks were reasonable. Check-in was quick and uneventful. They text you your room number before you even get there and the room was ready on time. Cons: Upon check-in, they informed us that because we used a debit card, the $250 deposit wouldn't be refunded for up to 30 days?? What?apparently if you use credit it goes back on in 3 days. Why is this? Now I have to follow up on my bank account until I get the refund, and what happens if I don't get it? I can only imagine how difficult that conversation is gonna be. Food is like amusement park food, overpriced, unhealthy and not great. We opted not to eat at the resort at all- instead we just went grocery shopping and made sandwiches etc and ate lunch or dinner off property about once a day. We had a mini fridge and microwave, but some of the suites have kitchenettes if you'd rather cook. My band randomly stopped working and it was kind of a big production to get new ones for the whole family. If you have kids over the age of 6, they'll be bored. The story time and character appearances etc are really babyish. There's simply not enough stuff to hold their interest except for the water park. Speaking of the water park, they don't let you take the towels back to the room, you have to return them before you leave. If you forget, they charge you $15 a towel. And my biggest gripe is the laundry situation- 2 washers (one of which was out of order) and 3 dryers for 2000+ people, all of whom are using a WATER PARK and will need to wash and dry clothes frequently? Unacceptable. I mean, it wasn't a terrible experience, but I probably wouldn't return. For the price per night ($400+) we were expecting more. I could give this place 2.5 stars, but I'm rounding up just because I think others who have younger kids might have a better experience. read more

Great Wolf Lodge is the premier water park resort in Niagara. I've been to Americana, Fallsview and GWL and GWL wins. When it comes to these waterparks it's true that you get what you pay. So while GWL is more expensive you get the best overall experience. They recently expanded the front of the resort so there is a new section for check-in, effectively doubling the lobby area which was always too crowded during peak times. Check-in is a breeze and they also have some online pre-check options which can speed things up. "Access" The best thing about GWL are the bracelets. They are waterproof and RFID which act as your ID and room key. You can even authorize charges to your room on all or some of the bracelets and set spend limits. No need to carry a wallet or room keys. "Food" There are various restaurants and admittedly we normally pack half our meals and head out for the other half. Pizza (in-house) is very good, reasonably priced and the one exception we make. I've had lunch at the grill inside the Waterpark on previous visits and it's mediocre at best. I've never been to the buffet and other restaurant but I've heard neither are great. "Fun" There are lots of options for entertainment and to keep the family busy. Magiquest, arcade, bowling, kids club, and various activities in the lobby throughout the day. If that's not enough, head out to town. "Waterpark" The Waterpark is great. Towels are inside the Waterpark area. There are change rooms with lockers (paid) and spin dryers outside of the change rooms, along with plastic bags for your convenience. There are also separate washrooms behind the hot tubs. The splash area for the littlest ones is closet to the entrance and the water is extra warm here. Next to this area are the hot-tubs, very busy but they have a main section where kids are allowed and an adults only section higher up. On the other side are elevated water play features which lead through to 2 slides for young kids. The wave pool is great, with waves coming in intervals. There is a lazy river for those who just want to chill and enough slides to satisfy all levels of adventurers. Wolf-tail is a must (TIP: don't forget to breath and hold your breath on the drop). There is another area behind the towel counter where it's more water sports and for older kids. Throughout the Waterpark area there are tons of beach chairs. They tend to go quick so make sure you claim yours with a towel, bag or something else you can easily identify. Note: there are 2 restaurants located inside the Waterpark area itself. Overall, GWL is the best experience. It comes down to the total package and the amenities they offer. This is the reason I keep coming back. However, at regular prices it's very expensive and we would never come here at those rates. Do look for promos which are available several times a year. P.S, all our trips have been during the winter but I hear visits during the summer are great too as they have an outdoor section and mini-golf. read more

I took my Children here for a mini getaway. I would say this place is AMAZING! They have awsum staff, very clean rooms and change rooms in the pool. It's just a great place, the only reason why I am giving it four stars is that they need better restaurants or just better food there. I had the lunch buffet in the resort, which was an additional $12.99. And in simple terms, I could not eat anything but the fries,chicken fingers and salad despite their wide selection of items, to name a few:tacos, hot dogs, pastas, pizza, and chilli. The pizza was uncooked, tacos/nachos looked like they were sitting out for way too long. It was a unpleasant dining experience ! I suggest bring your own food or order in from some place! I would recommend going during October because they have so many Halloween activities for the kids. They have it decorated and kids can dress up in their costumes. Great Wolf Lodge - Hotels Near Me - Niagara Falls, Ontario

My family and I booked a one night trip to Great Wolf Lodge recently as a getaway for my 3 year old's 4th birthday. We booked the Wolf Den suite on a Thursday night thinking it wouldn't be too busy and the waterpark wouldn't be so crazy. We arrived just before 3pm and were allowed to go to our room straight away which was great ( technically check in wasn't until 4pm ) and our room was also one flight down on the same level as the Waterpark which was really convenient. At check-in everyone is given a wristband which also doubles up as your room key and is linked to your credit card which is really convenient....but also REALLY dangerous as it's basically a swipe of the wristband every 5 minutes if you want something ( Food / Arcade Tokens etc ) but I get it, any resort is going to be like that. The food was actually good quality and not actually as expensive as you might think. I was seeing burgers for $ 7- $10 and really it was quite reasonable vs somewhere like Disney ( I know this isn't Disney ) where its easily triple the cost....they would so easily be able to gouge people on the cost of food and I found that to not be the case which was a surprise. The Waterpark itself was HUGE with lots to do for kids / grown-ups of all ages, we weren't able to check out the outside pool as it was closed but there was plenty to do inside, I would give the waterpark and the resort itself 5 out of 5 except for one major annoyance. At the small kiddie pool and slides, every time the kids wanted to slide down, they would have to wait at the top as the gate would be closed....then wait for a lifeguard to be free....then wait for the OTHER gate at the top to be opened by a lifeguard if they wanted to use one of the slides that was toward the end and a lifeguard would only let the kids in once one of the kids slides down...which in theory isn't a big deal...but there was only ONE LIFEGUARD at the top and bottom and as such the kids could be lined up for 5 minutes or so before being let in......MADNESS !! I've seen other kiddie pools at Waterparks like Waldemere in Erie PA and this did not happen. I get safety but making small kids wait as long to ride a small slide as some of the larger more popular water slides for grown-ups is madness. They need to have more Lifeguards working that pool. Beside that annoyance it was overall a great experience and we would go again, but that really boggled our minds having been to other Waterparks with a similar type of pool. Recommended read more

Well I had high hopes for this place because we've been going to Great Wolf Lodge in Ohio and all of us loved it. But We probably won't come back again to this one. First there is so many restrictions, like my 3 year old can't go down the slide which he can go down in Ohio and its the same slide. Cant bring the towels to the room, which its their hotel. I really don't understand why! They say its hot there and we all were freezing going back to our room. read more

My Kids loved this place! their indoor waterpark was one of the best we've been and my son who was scared to go on slides actually went a bunch of times and love it. It is more expensive than Indoor Waterpark by Sheraton by they have more amenities in the waterpark. The buffet was amazing and lots of selection...will go back soon! read more

We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge in July 2011, it was exactly what we needed for a family with 3 kids. Only about 5-10 minute drive to the falls, the location is good if you don't care about not having a view of the falls from your hotel room. The water park which is part of the price is really great and used it every day! We stayed in a Kid Kamp suite which had a bunk bed closed off to the rest of the room (no doors but walls separates the room) with it's own TV allowed my 3 year old to have her own space and get to sleep before the other 2 older kids. The Buffet breakfast and dinner was excellent and really recommend it. Story time every night in the lobby was a lot of fun for my little one and the game room kept the other 2 busy for a few hours! My only complaint was the food for lunch which consisted of only junk and was pretty bad. If you are a family with young kids, this is the perfect place to stay! read more

We just got back from this place, and we did NOT love it, and can't understand the people Who do! I will try to make this as brief and to the point. Our boys are 5 and 2. The resort itself is a cute ideA, and the foyer is nice and themed. the rooms feel and smell OLD. Small beds, sheets have other people's hair on them, the tables and tvs were barely wiped etc. We like the balcony, the fridge and the microwave which saved us from eating at their awful buffet. Example: dinner buffet $23 pp mostly stale tiny pizza SLICES, fries, Mac and cheese... (U get the idea) The magic wand 'experience was none sense, although the my toddlers thought it was 'cool' for the price though it's stupid, you point at old Half broken treasure chest and they open, there are about 4-5 halls (1 on each level) with 4 floors, a lot of walking around for nothing... The water park was ok, the slides are fun, and the cafes inside aren't bad, but again food; pizza slice, burger, hot dog, fries nachos... For the health conscious it's awful! (Not much around the resort you'd have to drive to the strip) so bring your own food!! ( we brought fruit and yogurt and cereal For the kids) They use an extreme amount of chlorine which will start to burn your eyes after an hr, even if u don't get them wet, my kids both got rashes all over their bodies from the water! In the evening the place has terrible Lighting, so it's very dark inside (in my opinion) kids runing up and down the halls Till at least 11:30pm!! Slamming the doors, shouting in the halls! So good luck getting to sleep and with your little ones! (True as I read the same reviewS in trip Advisor) also the bowling alley was tiny with aprox 4 lanes. It was a hole In the wall basically. You park yourself which the only Good thing with thAt was, it's free, but we are in the middle of nowhere! So, of course we got a flat tire ... The morning of check out we explained the situation and asked to have a few extra hrs to accommodate us, so we can go have the tire fixed. They couldn't cAre less and had us check out anyways. Overall you will spend a lot of money, for something that's way too overly hiped up and exaggerated! It's just not that great! For something you get so excited to see and do, and you and the kids count down the days; and to leave quit disappointed and $1000 'down the drain!' After 2 days!!! We would much rather stay at the Sheraton/Hilton/Marriott and use the Sheraton water park! Enjoy the valet parking and eat much healthier food for the same price! And even pay more but feel Like your somewhere nice! The place was also very busy, mid week, beg of March.(no one on break yet) So imagine March break, weekends, or holidays!! Forget it! I would Never! We of course made the best of the situation, we are out of the resort and tried to enjoy the amenities, but I highly Doubt we will Recommend this place or be back for More! We might consider a visit in the summer, for the outdoor activities but in the winter, it's not that great! read more
