Dr. Julia at Kyle office was fine on the one visit I had with him. The staff afterwards asked me if I wanted to see him or a PA on my follow-up visit. I told the him because I am unsure if I wanted to have him as my doc. They called prior to the appt and changed it to a PA. The PA told me the doctors only see patients every six months. When I complained that absolutely nothing had been done for my pain, edge offered to set me up for shots quickly. Then they called to reschedule because it had been booked in the wrong suite. I told them to cancel and I'd go elsewhere. Another call wanting to schedule. Then after two weeks another wanting to schedule my follow up from my procedure! And the doc had wanted me to talk to a surgeon for a future relationship. He didn't refer me to one. On an inquiry call back to the office they decided he hadn't made a referral. After calling another two times, the staff told me most people Google a surgeon. OVERALL, I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING THERE. read more

At first, I had a great experience here. I have psoriatic arthritis, fibromyalgia and spinal stenosis and was on several medications to help with my pain. After several months, I had all my medication suddenly stopped, without any warning. Pain medication is something that helps daily. This was 5 months ago. I am now in a tremendous amount of pain. I have degenerate disk disease so looked up medical practices that can administer the ViaDisk procedure in Austin and Greater Austin Pain Center was one of them. The procedure consists of one or more injections made directly into the spinal disks. Google it if you are curious. I had one appointment with Dr. Hynes, who scheduled me for a follow-up about a month later. In the second appointment, one of the aides (not a doctor) told me that Dr. Hynes had reviewed my MRI and had determined that I am a candidate for this treatment but it's not covered by my insurance so I would need to pay out of pocket for the cost. I was expecting this and asked how much will it cost. This person couldn't tell me, but she told me she would send someone else in after they ran the numbers. So.. I waited another ten minutes, then someone can into the examination room holding a Post-It note. She told me that this procedure would cost me SEVENTEEN THOUSAND, EIGHT HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS. "Wow... that's more than I was expecting," I told her. "How many injections is that?" "Um... I think that's two... one at your L2/L3..." she started. "Hang on... I don't have a problem at my L2/L3." "Oh... I'm not really sure," she said. "So... you don't know how many injections or where, but you do know that the cost will be $17,850." I quickly left. There's no fucking way, I would let these idiots inject anything into my spine. Do you enjoy being treated completely impersonally, spending all of 5 minutes with an actual doctor who is barely paying attention to you? If so, I have just the place for you! I don't even know if you can CALL this a doctor's office, because you'll never speak to an actual doctor. You will, however, get the run around from the entire front desk staff, complete with a deeply impersonal touch. Sounds great, right?? Avoid avoid avoid. Cancelled 4 out of 4 appointments. I need gel hip injections which need to be stacked one a week for 3 weeks. As soon as I get one they cancel all subsequent appointments. I pay out of pocket so the money is lost and the shots are painful. I never get relief because they cancel and I can't get them 3 weeks in a row. Complete waste of money, time and causes more pain. This place confused me. I checked their website because I was looking for somewhere to get PRP and stem cell injections for knee pain. The place I was going to closed. I didnt find the staff very friendly. There was a massive amount of paperwork, most of which didnt apply to me and refused to fill out part of it. The snippy girl at the front desk so I couldnt get medication if it was prescribed during the visit if ai didnt complete the paperwork. I told her I wasnt there for a prescription, I was there for a consult I paid $300 for a consult appointment only to find out they dont have a current supplier for stem cells. But...they would look they said. In the meantime I could get a PRP shot but at a different location. Dr. Didnt know the prices of PRP shots. She sent in the office manager who I told I wasnt happy about the paperwork that didnt even apply to me. He didnt know PRP prices either. He took me back to the front to make an appointment which they told me also included another $125 for office visit. The staff had to call the other location twice to get pricing. I made the appointment and the followup they said the doctor wants...another $125. I felt very unsettled by the whole visit and the next day I called to cancel my appointments. I just didnt feel like there was a very good level.of professionalism there and didnt trust my care to them. read more

The communication with this place/staff has been a nightmare for me. I went to this clinic because I was experiencing migraines; Dr. Haynes saw me and referred me to an Imaging Center to get an MRI. I got my MRI, no problem there; a week after, a member of the staff called me to go over the results of the MRI with me; they told me that there was something "abnormal" with my brain and that I needed to see a Neurologist, that's it, no further explanation, did not go over details about the diagnosis, the severity of the issue, anything, just said that something was again "abnormal" with me. Of course, this caused major distress for me and my family, since we didn't hear anything from the actual doctor, and all thoughts and fears began to arise. I, of course, asked if I could schedule my appointment with the neurologist or if they would do it for me; they told me that the neurologist's office would call me whenever they receive the referral. It's been almost a full week, and they have not sent the referral to the neurologist. Mind you, I don't know if what the MRI shows is mild, normal, abnormal, serious, urgent, anything. I've been calling this "clinic" daily, and they tell me that "they are sending the referral as we speak.", When I call again to follow up, they either send my phone calls to voicemail or tell me exactly the same. It's now the weekend, and I have not been contacted by a neurologist. I have problems sleeping and even existing because I don't know what's actually going on. They are so IRRESPONSIBLE to have a front desk lady calling you to tell you that you have an abnormality and then they ghost you, they ignore your phone calls, and they WON'T EVEN SEND THE REFERRAL to the corresponding doctor's office. This is not a nail appointment that I'm trying to get, this is my mental and physical health. I pray for management to read this review and listen to these unprofessional phone calls. read more

They lied and blamed it on the Insurance Agency, sent me on a wild goose chase to find out why my procedure was canceled, then lied again saying they would call me when the authorization came in. This is my second attempt to get treated. My insurance company did not to send me a letter of rejection the first time. This time they clearly stated that Greater Austin Pain Center cancelled the authorization. After that first rejection, I did everything I could think of to get myself out of pain- Chiropractic, PT exercises, bodywork, Acupuncture, Chinese herbs, St John's Wort, Epsom Salts baths, liniments, I even bought an infrared heat blanket. All this helped, but it's not sustainable financially or time wise. I am in a certain amount of pain that I can withstand, but I also have flare-ups that are unbearable. When I call to make an appointment, it usually takes 7-10 days, just to ask for an injection, then another 10 days for the procedure appointment. I received 2 shots in 2023, and 1 shot in 2024. They helped a lot. I don't understand why I can't have another. When I talk to the office staff they lie, so it's no good to try to talk to them. read more

I went in for sciatica in my right leg, I was told, I would have physical therapy, and was prescribed meloxicam for the pain. I never heard back from anyone in the office? They gladly charged me $50.00 for a deductible to basically prescribe me a pain medication, that is no better than ibuprofen. read more

These people are the best and directly responsible for keeping me alive. There professionalism, compassion, and empathy are above reproach. Their persistent quest for perfection is one of their greatest strengths. Keep in mind that their compassion isn't matched by the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) desires and they can only prescribe the limits imposed by the DEA so while the limits imposed may not take away your pain their other modalities and their desires to keep you healthy within the limits of the law is a constant teeter totter but know they work hard to enable their patients to live a life out of bed. I just wish the DEA would get the hell out of medicine. read more

A year after Bednar of the Greater Austin Pain Center in Kyle kicked me out I started receiving strange Bills from them. This is a scam . At the first visit to the Kyle office I filled out a bunch of papers and then was handed a tablet I had to answer questions on. I found the questions juvenile. They were written on 4th grade level.. It seemed that they were trying to gather information on level of depression caused by pain and discover whether the person filling it out was suicidal. I hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology with a research emphasis on psychological testing and I found it stupid and told them so. I was told to fill out the tablet or I couldn't be treated. So I told her I would fill it with random responses. When I saw Bednar and told my situation to him he seemed rational and suggested various injections into the discs of my spine to relieve pain. We had several months of injections . When I was let into the injection room I had to drop my pants and take everything out of my pockets . There were no lockers as in normal Medical Clinics. I was given a basket to put my wallet and keys in. If Bednar had to move them off the table near the injection site he always asked me if I could if he could move them. But one day that was especially painful I was given the bum's rush. A man came in and without asking ran off with the basket containing my wallet and keys. I found them in a curtained partition across the hall. Other things were suspicious about this Clinic. Most distressing was that Bednar couldn't keep his schedule of injections coherent, so I never knew what he was going to inject me or where. I recorded the entire last session from beginning to end. The man who carried off my wallet and keys without asking was named Jesse but I'm pretty sure his name was Haysoos (Jesus). I observed that only whites worked in front of a glass in that office and it appears that behind the glass is all brown people Jesus was brown. I told Haysoos that I didn't appreciate his spiriting off my keys and my wallet without asking and suggested that this was a good opportunity for thievery. Of course he ratted me out immediately. Bednar then called me into an office and told me that Jesse was his right-hand man and told Bednar a number of unpleasant things about me, unnamed and probably lies. So he had to dismiss me from the office. My last words to Bednar were concerning further billing and he agreed not to do any further billing. This is on the recording. I limped out of the office still in pain and wondered what to do. I went to YouTube and found a PT who had an exercise designed to eliminate the need for surgery. Surgery Bednar suggested. After two days of these exercises I was pain free with no drugs. That was a long time ago. I learned that spinal steroid injections can destroy tissue. Why would they inject chemicals that destroy discs? Beware of all pain clinics read more

My mothers experience was defenately 5 stars!! She had her first appointment at the Austin office and everything was great! The front office staff was friendly and were on top of everything. Today we went to the Kyle office to have her spinal injection and the process was so smooth. The front office was once again super friendly and helpful. The nurse Jesse took great care of my mom and put her nerves at ease. Overall I recommend Greater Austin Pain and Dr. Silberberg for the friendly environment and helpful staff. read more

Definitely the worst healthcare experience I've ever had. Staff is not interested in working with referring doctor to get info. Even though this is a PAIN clinic, which is supposed to work with a patient to get them out of pain, they are not interested in getting appts scheduled quickly. Two weeks is far too long to wait to see a pain doctor for a broken back. Staff is not interested in getting the records they need. Instead, they wait until appt to say they cannot do anything without records and expect patient to get them for the clinic. Dr does not make good notes in chart. Instructions given at initial visit were not noted. Therefore, assistants and eventually even the doctor, acted like we were crazy for requesting things at the timeline that they instructed the patient to. Follow up appts were cancelled, rescheduled, and changed multiple times. The reason for follow up visit were discussed by phone numerous times and a televisit was scheduled multiple times. When it finally happened it was just for the doctor to say he could not do that visit as a televisit and we would have to change to an in-person visit. Too bad they don't have an appt available within a reasonable time period. I guarantee all of these were billed out to insurance. Very poor patient care. Save yourself time, headache, and sacrifice of your care. Go somewhere else. read more

Dr. Jarzombek was friendly and helpful during our first visit. Unfortunately, I never saw her again. I'm a patient with autoimmune issues, and three severe pain disorders. For seven months I showed up every month, arrived on time, paid my bills and followed our treatment plan. When I had a medical crisis, and needed more expertise than the nurse could provide, I was unable to get an appointment with my doctor. Instead, Dr Jarzombek had another physician on staff inform me that she would not be treating me any longer. She discontinued my treatment (and medication) without ever seeing me again. I was treated very disrespectfully, and felt like a piece of garbage that got thrown away, not a human being who needed help. As a person on disability who needs pain medication to function, this was a nightmare. I was told to just go to the hospital. The doctors at this clinic do not understand chronic pain, and they don't care to. If you need help, go somewhere else! read more
