We were planning a wedding in WNC from afar as we don't live fulltime in the area, and Justin made our lives infinitely easier throughout the planning process as we arranged to/from transportation for all of our guests who joined us for our wedding and reception. In addition to immaculate transportation service, every single guest who rode with Justin raved about his service and all the little things he did (remembering people's names before even meeting them in person; politely helping people in/out vans, etc). We were surprised that Justin did a 'dry run' in advance of the wedding and in doing so, discovered optimal paths that saved our guests time in getting to the wedding safely and expeditiously. And as my wife and I reveled in the reception celebration, Justin enabled us to enjoy without having to feel like we were clock-watching. Lastly, it had snowed overnight before our wedding; I'm sure our guests were relatively nervous about a winter wedding with below freezing temperatures, but Justin was expert in safely navigating up and down the mountain. The logistical requirements were complex, requiring us to manage 100 people in tight teams of ten a task that would have been impossible without David and his team. They were absolute professionals, but what truly blew us away was their heart. Every single driver was not only deeply knowledgeable and local but went above and beyond to become active participants in our service projects. They didn't just drive; they served. It was life-changing work, and their kindness and willingness to tackle those difficult, distant sites with us was the cornerstone of our success. We could not have done this without them. I am late in posting my review for our stay that occurred 9/19 - 9/23. Our stay ended just a few…read moredays before Hurricane Helene. Please read my entire review, particularly the end. Excellent stay! Second time at Asheville Cottaged and we cannot say enough about the experience. They think of everything to make your experience top notch! We arrived and were feeling a little snacky. No problem! The snack tree and variety of waters/soft drinks/juiced beverages in the fridge were welcome! We browsed the binder for suggestions on where to grab dinner. After dinner at White Duck Taco, we stopped Ingles for a few groceries. Of course, Tracie and Marshall made sure each cottage had an Ingels savings card to use! Need a battery? Under the kitchen sink. Ziplock bag? Yep..,check a drawer in kitchen. They think of everything you may need and have it on hand for you! Loved the soaking tub! Loved the heated bathroom floor. Loved heated toilet seat. Accidentally hit a button on the bidet in the middle of the night and got a little surprise rinse off. . The big surprises were seeing a few bears late one afternoon behind the cottage (Magnolia). Thankfully, we just sat quietly on the deck and they looked at us and took off for the woods. Overall, it was a great trip and on the flight home, I started to look at availability to come back for a girls trip later in the Fall with my sister and niece. But before I could book anything, Hurricane Helene severely impacted the area. My heart breaks for all the families who lost loved ones in this disaster. By finding them on social media to see if they were ok, I found out that thankfully Asheville Cottages did not sustain much damage due to their location. Since Asheville tourism is essentially stopped, Tracie and Marshall have graciously opened their cottages to local families who have been displaced by the hurricane as they still have electricity and water. They also are still paying their employees salaries during this time (as they did during Covid) - taking care of them like family. THIS is exactly the kind of small business that my husband and I are proud to support so we will be staying at Asheville Cottages next time we come to Asheville...whenever that can happen.

My husband and I booked our stay at Dragon's Knoll (think Middle-Earth and hobbits) 6 months out. We enjoyed the cozy home, all of the beautiful touches, the stunning views, and the stillness and peacefulness of the location. We have recently started a travel-inspired business (Reservations and Road Trips) and reached out to the owners. Mike (dad) and Justin (son) were so kind to us. They are passionate people who love what they do and the experiences they can provide. They are great communicators...Mike even called us from his vacation! Justin spent an hour with us giving us tours of the available homes. We are looking forward to going back to Earth and Sky Dwellings in the spring or summer...we can't wait to see their new event venue put to use!

We stayed at the "Phoenix" and, as a huge Star Wars fan, the amount of detail and thought put into this was incredible. Jere and Melissa, two of the owners, met us on site at check in and could not have been more friendly and accommodating. They welcomed us to the property and encouraged us to explore and check out the other dwellings that were on site. They also maintained constant contact after the storms had devastated that area, and we could tell they were dedicated to providing the best experience possible to both us and Asheville. They never faltered in accommodating us in the delays that the storms had caused. It was all worth the wait, the setting that they have created truly creates a magical getaway and the views were phenomenal. We are looking forward to our next opportunity to visit here and stay in one of the other fantastic homes that they have created. What an outstanding experience, and thank you to Jere and Melissa for being such wonderful hosts!
