We needed a 4:45am pickup to the airport & The Omni recommended Marvels. Marvels showed up 10 minutes early with a nice clean car & was able to get us to the airport safely. They had excellent communication with us throughout the whole process. The price is higher than an uber/lyft ride but it gave us great peace of mind to have someone waiting to take you to the airport at such an early hour. read more

Did not quote prices when making reservations (my fault for not asking) after he said this was the cheapest way to go, and then was surprised by incredibly high prices. An hour late for airport pick with minimal accommodation for significant stress! On the plus side, drivers have been wonderful. read more

I fear that Covid19 has put them out of business. Called hotel (Grand Bohemian), they suggested to call these folks as our flight into Asheville was going to be late. So I called them, left a detailed message. Then tried their website, and website domain was available, aka out of business. When I landed (2.5 hours later) , I called again, phone message the same as prior message, but again no response. Told hotel of this and they were surprised, so they tried, same thing. To this date (over 7 days ago), still no response, so assumption is they are out of business. From other reviews they seemed to have had a good business. If indeed due to Covid19, then a shame. read more

We got a lift from Asheville to Charlotte Airpot. Walter showed up 15 minutes ahead of time, stopped at mcdonalds on the way, and was supremely professional and friendly. I have had the pleasure of using Marvels through Montreat Conference center to and from the airport. Each time I have had friendly, helpful drivers and appreciated the comfortable clean cars that they use. Walter was my driver from the airport on my most recent trip and I enjoyed talking with him about the area and a little about Marvels as well. On the way back to the airport I had a woman driver ( don't remember her name) and she gave me some great southern cooking tips and great customer service. I would highly recommend Marvels for transportation in the greater Asheville area. read more

My flight out of Asheville was canceled, so we hired Marvels to get to the Greenville airport for an early flight. Walter showed up on time in a very clean town car. This is the second time I have used Marvels, and I have been impressed both times. I understand the previous reviewer being upset by the "price gouging," but this is a transportation service. Not a cab company. Need a cab? Call a cab company, buddy. You need 10+ people moved? Call Marvels. My first experience back in February (2015) went very smoothly. Some friends and I were going to a concert in Asheville from my house in Black Mountain. They showed up on time, and got my friends where we needed to be in a timely fashion. I was able to text the driver our exact location, and the time that we needed to be picked up, and he was there. My second experience was this past weekend (Halloween 2015). Once again, some friends and I were going from Black Mountain to Asheville for a concert. We had 20 people this time around. Marvels was able to secure 2 vehicles, and provide quality service for both nights. I was able to push back our pickup time with very little effort, and the vans were waiting right outside the US Cellular Center for us at the end of the shows on both nights. I will say that in both instances, I was the person in charge of rounding up all the members of our party when the shows let out. I didn't have to worry about where or when the vehicles were going to show up, and that allowed me to enjoy the event more. Additionally, I was able to focus more on the logistics of hosting all these people at my home rather than worry about if we would be getting stuck on the side of the road in downtown Asheville. I would recommend that anyone who has a larger group of people that need to be taken around the Asheville area to give Marvels a call. read more

This is the only way to get around Asheville and for transportation to the airport. The taxi companies, which are all owned by the same individual, provide the worst service I have ever experienced. It doesn't matter if you reserve a cab far ahead of time, or call 15 minutes before, they 're always late. In addition, their cabs are in poor condition with many features in non-working condition, are filthy and often full of trash. Most interesting of all is the fact that each cab company's rates are different. Marvels Car & Van Service has flat rates. No meters. The owner is Walter and he is totally professional, and his five Town Cars are all clean. When you call, a Town Car will reach you within 15 minutes....each and EVERY time. When you reserve a car ahead of time, they arrive 5 minutes early. With such good service, great cars, and reasonable rates there is no reason to ever call a CAB again in Asheville. read more

i was recommended this car service to get around Asheville this past weekend by the place i was staying and this WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE ever. i felt ripped off by their PRICE GOUGING. i was not in a town car, but a DISGUSTING, DIRTY mini-van. the trip was 1.7 miles from my hotel to downtown, i started my stop watch and it took 5 minutes and 35 seconds to get to the the restaurant. the "FLAT FEE" was $15.00. A COMPLETE RIP OFF OF TOURISTS! as a result, i decided to take a cab back from the very same spot for the return trip with a cab that started the meter. the new price $7.50, much more reasonable. i'll be contacting the hotel to let them know that this company TAKES ADVANTAGE OF TOURISTS and should not be recommended. read more

So...it's New Years eve and I don't want to drive to a restaruant downtown Asheville and I call Marvels about 4 hours ahead of time. We live about 1 mile from the restaurant and have 7:30 pm reservations. They agreed to come at 7:15pm to get us. No problem...5 minutes max to the restaurant. I'll gladly pay the $50 round trip because of check points. 7:15 comes and goes...I call three times and 'were one our way', '7 more minutes', new driver they can't fine your locatiion (we are right next door to the Grove Park Inn...an Asheville icon)...by 7:40pm I'm done with them and drive myself. Calling them from my car they were not particularly concerned and when I said I'd let others know my experience with them on the internet...they hung up on me!!! DO NOT USE THEM... read more
