It was a great experience from beginning to end. But what really made me know my dad was in good hands was Marcie. She cared enough to figure things out even when he kept saying he "was fine". They sent a ton of forms to fill out prior to the appointment, which took a bit of time, but I didn't have to re-do any of the paperwork when I was there. The building has plenty of parking but it was pretty busy as the lot is shared with some other offices. I was seen pretty close to my appointment time by PA Nate. He listened to my concerns and did a quick physical exam of my knee and sent me for an x-ray which was done in their own lab. I got my results fairly quickly and they recommended physical therapy. They did call me several times to follow up to schedule PT as well as make a return appointment, which I declined. Overall it was a good experience, I don't have anything to compare it to but I felt listened to and supported in my care at this practice.

I even told the doctor, Daniel Mann, that I suspected pneumonia. He listened to my lungs for less than 10 seconds, dismissed my concerns, and prescribed me an inhaler, steroids, and a cough suppressant--despite the fact that I told him I did not have a cough. When I asked for clarification about my symptoms, the only explanation I was given was "it's probably a cold." When I asked if he could say with certainty that it was not pneumonia, he told me yes. I had to push just to get a COVID and flu test, because in my life I've never had a "cold" this severe. To be fair, I understand my visit was close to closing time. However, this was the only urgent care open at the time, and I simply cannot afford an ER visit. I was hoping for thorough care and reassurance, but instead left feeling dismissed and confused. Over the following week, my symptoms did not improve and actually got worse, especially the difficulty breathing. I ended up going to a different urgent care for a second opinion, where they performed a chest X-ray and confirmed I do in fact have pneumonia. That means I spent an entire week untreated, walking around contagious, exposing my baby brother and my best friend who has severe asthma and lung issues. This misdiagnosis and dismissal could have had serious consequences for me and the people around me. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of thoroughness and the disregard for my symptoms, and I would strongly caution others about the level of care provided here.

I knew that surgery and physical therapy was imminent and I didn't want to drive hours on the road for several weeks! I was so glad I went to Shoreline Orthopaedics! Dr. Cheek was so informative and took the time to tell me what I did to my shoulder and what it would take to get it back to mobility with no pain. It has been 4 months and I have no pain! The office staff were always friendly and the medical staff were 99% on time! I won't think twice about going to Shoreline Orthopaedics if I have to have surgery in the future. I just hope if I do, it will be several years down the road!

After my first visit with him, he recommended MRI scans as well as a back brace. Only to wait a month for them to get the authorization in for my insurance. And what is worse is that I reached out to them multiple times asking for updates and it always goes to voicemail. It is as if they are ignoring my calls. Ive also left multiple voicemails to call back and Ive only gotten one call back. Also after getting in touch with my insurance they informed me that there has been no request for authorization from them about the back brace. So not only did they lie saying they submitted it but also lied saying that we were waiting for insurance authorization. In all honestly after waiting so long I have decided I will not be returning due to the inconvenience. I would also not recommend this place to anyone. Dr. Vasiu does not take time to listen to his clients. He constantly talks and does not give you time to respond or express your own concerns. I would not recommend this place and insist on looking elsewhere.
