That means the things I look for in a bowling alley are pretty different. Town-N-Country Lanes has all the kids staples: - Alley bumpers to prevent frustrating gutter balls - Ramps so that balls make it all the way to the pins - Plenty of six pound balls that can be held by tiny arms - Velcro shoes in the smaller sizes - Pizza that isn't entirely awful The lanes are in fine shape for casual play. I do long for the old fashioned manual scoring, that was good for teaching kids math. But the electronic scoreboards make a game of bowling hassle free. And that's important because getting five small children to complete a single game of bowling can be a herculean effort in and of itself. That's where the bar comes in. Unfortunately, I didn't get to put that or the snack bar to the full test. There were plenty of cheap deep fried treats available. One day I may have to try those out at a Saturday night Rock 'N Bowl. That weekly event sounds like a great deal: $10 unlimited bowling (including shoes) from 10pm until 1am.
