Greek Bistro popped up on my Yelp. Ordered the following: 1. Fitness Plate $34 2. Lemon Potatoes $14 The chicken was cooked to perfection and the flavors were bold, tasty, and unapologetic. I enjoyed the lemon potatoes but the way they marinated and cooked that chicken was chef's kiss. Everything came together in perfect unison. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire meal and experience.

This is the best Greek food I've ever had!! I came in last week and have not stopped thinking about it since. We had the steak pita and the chicken kabob plate. Everything tasted fresh, homemade and juicy. It's a pricey place and they do offer a lunch special but it's limited. So I recommend this for more of a dinner spot.

We ate here for lunch and had the Linch for Two special. Our server was Danny and he did an excellent job! We had the Bistro Bowl, Gyro Salad and two beers. We sat outside on the patio which had plenty of umbrellas for shading. Looking forward to eating there again.

Had to stop by after seeing all the rave reviews and it did not disappoint! The price is on the higher end for Greek Food, but they do make up for it with how good the food tastes! We didn't do the Lunch Special but will need to come back for it! A 3 course meal for two for $50 Monday - Friday from 12:00 - 2:30pm. 1. Dolma: the grape leaves came out steaming hot and fresh! It was really good and they really packed it! Also came with some pita bread and tzatziki. I will say their pita and tzatziki is one of the best I've tasted! The bread is so soft and the tzatziki is so fresh and flavorful! 2. The lamb chops (order it medium) very tasty, tender, and highly recommend! Ordered the plate and it came with grilled veggies, pita bread, and tzatziki, and rice. The rice is very buttery and well seasoned! 3. Branzino, very crispy skin! This dish was very good as well! It comes with the same sides listed above! Overall, the food here is delicious and I definitely want to come back and try more items! I heard their gyros were really good!

Came back last night and everything slapped, per usual. The service, the food, the ambiance- everything is incredible. The potatoes are a MUST.

My husband and I've been to Greek Bistro in Glendale and loved it. So when we were in the Laguna Hills area, we had to stop by! As always, the food and service were phenomenal. Danny was our server and he took very good care of us. This location is more casual - so perfect for a simple lunch or dinner. We ordered the Pastito (I think it's a Greek lasagna) and the combination plate (filet mignon and chicken). We also ordered a Greek salad on the side. Danny suggested we replace the salad that came with the pastito for their house fries - best recommendation yet. So if you're looking for good Greek food and friendly service, this place is a must!

It has been nearly 6 years since my last time here. Jen was curious about Greek food and I mentioned this place as one of the best places I've experienced. Without a reservation, we decided to have an early dinner before the rush. From what I can tell, the place has expanded and is the interior is quite pleasant. While the staff has grown as well, they do carry the quality service as the close family touch that I remembered. Jen ordered the Wild Pacific Cod, while I stuck with my old favorite, the Fitness Special. We also had an order of dolma for a starter. I sampled Jen's cod and it was great. Lightly crusted with wonderful flavor. As for my chicken skewers, they were quite moist and beautifully seasoned. As for the dolma, it was perfect. Warm and tart, and not sour as I have found them elsewhere. We passed on dessert, but the offerings are quite tempting. Look forward to trying one next time. The staff said that reservations are now needed at night, which I'm happy to hear that the place is doing well. While the rest of this shopping center is becoming vacant, it's nice to hear that they're thriving.

Was craving Greek food and decided to look on Yelp. Found this place with an over abundance of reviews. The appetizer baba ghanoush was so good and we got to take a lot of of it home. The Gyro wrap was messy, but that might've been how I was eating it lol all flavors were good!

Greek Bistro in Laguna Hills, California is a family-owned Mediterranean restaurant known for serving traditional Greek dishes such as gyros, hummus, tzatziki, and grilled meats in a casual yet upscale dining environment. The restaurant emphasizes authentic flavors inspired by Greek culinary traditions while maintaining a modern California dining atmosphere. I came here one evening with my wife to try this infamous gem in Laguna Hills. It's rare to find a dining establishment rated 5 stars with 2k+ reviews, but if you really read into their reviews, you can tell that many of their reviews are bots with fake profiles to enhance their Yelp ratings. But it's just a marketing tactic that seems to be very successful for them, because it piqued my interest in trying it. And of course, their accolades and awards were something to consider as well. We got seated inside, and it had a very red-themed lounge vibe feel to it. Feels like an upscale modern restaurant with beautiful Greek coastal decor. My wife and I ordered their Gyro special plate and Shrimp & Ouzo Saganaki appetizer. The shrimp appetizer came out on a flambe sizzling platter. Prawns were plump, juicy, and delicious with the refreshing pico de gallo added. A well-seasoned and perfectly executed seafood dish. The gyro plate was good too, not the best tasting I've had, but the portion was big enough for us two to share. The vegetable skewer, gyro, pita, rice, and hummus were just average. Nothing extraordinary. I have to say everything was fresh-tasting, so I have to give credit when it's due. As for the bill, I was not a big fan of the hidden credit card fee. I don't understand why a successful establishment like this has to charge its patrons extra to use their credit cards. At least give us a warning or a heads-up beforehand, because new diners like myself wouldn't know unless we've eaten there before. There's nothing I despise more than restaurants tacking on hidden fees after paying. It definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. If you're going to accept credit cards, then deal with the fees the credit card companies charge you guys, not your customers.

I ordered the chicken plate, and I really enjoyed everything I ate. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, the veggies were seasoned well, and the tzatziki sauce was delicious. The soft, warm pita bread tied everything together perfectly. The waiter and service were also great, friendly, fast, and attentive.

Exceptional service by Eric. Very attentive, affable, and his happy-go-lucky persona made our bantering fun and entertaining. Thank you for making our dining experience memorable. 5/5 Food was tasty and not one dimensional. Minus 1 * because we were on the hunt for a perfect grilled squid and it was sodium galore. Eric explained it was marinated for 12 hours, hence the tenderness. It was soaked in EVOO when served, but chef, let's not be too heavy-handed with the salt. It came from the ocean with enough salt, don't you think? 4/5 For ambiance, it was typical bistro decor. Seating option outside. Except for 2 tables, every table was occupied. A few tables turned while we dined. 4/5

SOOOO GOOD. I got the babaganoush and the salmon bowl! The pita is perfectly crispy and the babaganoush is so yummy. My salmon bowl was also delicious. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the skin was super crispy. The veggies in the salad were also amazing!! It was super fresh and flavorful. Danny was my server and he was very attentive and efficient. Definitely will be coming back.

Food is good, service was okay, speed was disappointingly slow…read more I get that these places make their food to order so I expected a wait, but they have the word "express" in their business name so I had a false expectation. Needless to say I sat there waiting for my two to-go orders for what felt like an eternity. A lot of people flowed in after me and they were all just waiting, it was weird since it was empty when I walked in and then seeing 6 tables of people with no food. I thought I ordered the cheaper lunch special of chicken koobideh and beef koobideh, but he punched in the full portion instead. I didn't really mind as it just became extra food for dinner. But I feel like if someone is going in at the beginning of lunch time, they would be looking to order lunch menu stuff? I guess I can't expect people to do what I my logic would do. The two koobidehs is pretty much the same thing I order at any of these places because I prefer ground meat that's tender and juicy and this place did not disappoint. We ordered the combo beef and chicken plate, the beef gyro plate, and two falafel on the side. The falafel didn't look impressive, but they were surprisingly excellent--moist, flavorful, and honestly better than Sababa's. I'll definitely order six next time. The gyro plate was solid, not overly greasy or heavy, and the seasoning was just right. I wasn't a fan of the hummus, which had a bitter aftertaste, but my partner liked the tanginess, so that may come down to personal preference. On the combo plate, the chicken stood out: juicy and tender. The beef seemed to be a leaner cut and was a bit dry. I'd probably skip this particular beef kebab next time and try a different one. The saffron rice and grilled tomato were a nice complement. The plate also came with jumbo naan, served warm and smelling amazing, definitely a highlight.

Persians are very picky and judgy when it comes to their cuisine. Everyone is a chef and of it doesn't bring back the nostalgia of your childhood at grandmas it doesnt pass the test. I judge a place based on their koobieh. Lets be honest, if your koobieh sucks, Houston we have a problem! Tonight, I decided to order the lamb shank with baghali polo, along with a family style appetizer consisting of mast-o-khiar, hummas, kashkeh-bademjoon, salad shirazi, and a side of mausto-mousir. My cousin ordered Tahdig for the table with different toppings. Everyone at the table ordered Soltanis, Chicken Barg and other options. Lets talk about ambiance: when you enter you are greeted by ornate art, calm atmosphere and fresh flowers. Love the lighting, its soft and inviting. Pouya our server was kind and friendly. He single handedly helped manover a "game of thrones" type style between my cousin and myself trying to sneak in our credit-cards before the meal even started so it would be taken care of ahead of time. The persian bill paying struggle is real. IYKYK. Lets just say, this girl won that one against my guy cousin with the parents watching dinner and show. Hehhee. The highlight for me was the bread ,butter, onions served first. I was hungry and the bread was made in house and fresh. It was warm, soft and paired well with the onions, and butter. I ordered more throughout the meal to eat with the mausto-mousir ( shallot and yogurt dip). Hands down out of the appetizer, the tahdigh ( crispy rice), khashk bademjoon ( eggplant dip), cucumber dip, shallot with yogurt dip were the stars of the night. The beef shank with Baghali polo was top on my list. The dill/lima beans rice paired well with the lamb shank. It was tender, tasty ( didnt have a gamey taste, or smell) and that says something for a girl born here. Kids like me born here, usually dont touch lamb because of the gamey, smell . So eating it at Hatam was a great experience for me. I would order this again. Our family had a great night out in a chill environment, devoid of any triggers for me that may have caused some health issues and it was a needed break. The ADA parking and easy access is also appreciated. Overall, I would recommend Hatam. I found out from my mom, that Hatam has also been the "go to" caterer for her parties so, that says something about quality of food and meeting expectations my mom has in place.10/10 Please note doing 1/2 salad and 1/2 rice will be $3.00 extra.

When we arrived, we were the only people in the shop. The owner was extremely friendly and started a long and fun conversation about pro football ("soccer") and his sons' team and their games. He gave us a couple of small sample plates while we waited for our ordered food, and told us to grab fountain drinks too at no charge. Our ordered food then arrived, and as we ate he switched the conversation to the lack of sports and business opportunities during the Covid pandemic and how he proudly didn't get vaccinated. I had been prioritized for a vaccination due to my profession and gotten it, and as soon as I mentioned that (in conversation, not confrontationally cos it was so long ago anyway and the subject doesn't need to be divisive) his mood and attitude to my partner and I soured. The conversation abruptly and awkwardly ceased, and we felt very unwelcome. Sure enough, when I went to pay the bill we were charged for the supposedly-free fountain drinks, and I didn't feel I could risk furthering ill-feeling towards us by disputing it. We left, regretting our choice of dinner. The food itself was at least good (albeit not outstanding compared to other local Mediterranean options) hence the star rating I've still given, but with the extra fountain drink cost that we wouldn't otherwise have incurred it turned into an expensive meal. In addition, and needless to say, the negative interaction left a very sour taste. I can't see myself going back. TL:dr; Go for the food, or get delivery, but beware that offers of 'free' items may not remain so.
