I've gone here for years and the food has always been amazing. This time I went, I had some paperwork with me because I had been at the DMV next door. I accidentally left my passport along with some very important paperwork. They made sure the paperwork and all of my information was safe until I came to retrieve it. I was surprised to see some of the negative reviews on here! Maybe I just didn't notice any uncleanliness since I was ordering to go, but the restaurant interior seemed fine for what it was. May be a bit old and outdated, but all I can think about is how great the food is, with generous portion sizes and for a reasonable cost! The two ladies at the front were very kind - you can tell they are very hard working and they were prompt with my order. I ordered a Gyro wrap with a side salad. Again, the portions were very generous and I LOVE the tzatziki sauce. Food good but will not be returning. We had the Veggie Plate and the Gyro sandwich. Both were good. Reason I am rating a 2/5 is because the prices on the wall menu did not reflect the actual cost. Ended up being $33 for the salad and the sandwich--as advertised it should have been $28 or so with tax. We didn't catch it on paying initially but when I noticed the discrepancy I walked up to the cashier/manager and asked why it was 20% more than advertised. She initially told me it was tax. She then said the price of the items -- and the prices she mentioned were significantly more than what the menu indicates. I told her this, she shrugged and said 'My cashier changed the prices". Love this spot. Their food is so good. I usually order a combo plate that comes with rice, gyro meat, a chicken kabob, salad, and naan bread. The chicken kabob has such great seasoning and the meat is not dry or over cooked. The gyro meat is also super flavorful and they provide such large portions. The rice is long grain and pairs nicely with the meat. The salad is super refreshing and the dressing I think is homemade and is super good also! I love this small Greek restaurant and my son use to go there at least once a week. Their food is excellent and they also offer a military discount if you are retired or in the military. I got to know the owners the two sisters and their mother fairly well and am sorry that after COVID I do not eat out as often as I used to and my son who was my lunch partner has moved to Frisco. I was excited to try this place out because of the 5 star reviews in Yelp. We came in late in the afternoon. The place was relatively clean with only two tables occupied. The menu display at the counter does not explain what's in a "plate" (prices are also not indicated). We waited around 10-15 minutes before the lady said the food is available so you pick up the tray from the counter. The plate consists of "Greek" salad, rice, pita bread and some kind of processed meat. The food is alright, not bad. I was expecting the meat to be real meat with fibers though (which what I usually get when I order a gyros anywhere). Here, the meat has the consistency of luncheon meat sliced in long strips. We came just a little after 11 am and there was already quite a few people here, so we knew we yelped the correct spot for trying some Greek food. The menu is kind of confusing, as it doesn't list what comes on each different kind of gyro, or what makes a combo, meal versus platter. I asked what the differences are and the very kind and informative employee helped and suggested we go with the combo which includes the gyro, fries and drink. Food came out 10-15 minutes later which wasn't bad for how busy they were, they were definitely hustling! The fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned and honestly were great on their own, but we did opt to dip them in Tzatziki sauce because that sauce is just amazing! It just feels like the owners have given up. - its filthy. Ceiling tiles are black from dirt. - greasy dirt on the floors and around tables - menu board is so old the numbers are fared. - food tastes like its all prepackaged. - meat on the big skewer is just sitting out, no cover. - both of us had to quit eating half way through our meal. The food was mostly good. We found the spanakopita to have been fried in oil that was too hot...the pastry was dark and over puffed...and it was super hot and dripping with oil. It left a puddle on the platen. Not very appetizing....the gyro and salad were good though. The falafel was so-so. Mostly disappointing is the interior was shabby and maybe not so clean? Hard to tell. It definitely needs an update. I dont really like eating in dingey and sticky places. It seemed to be run by two women. They were nice but one or both of them was on their phones the whole time we were there. I realize they might be the owners and can set their own rules, but it was a little awkward for us. I've been on a mission to find excellent Greek food in the Springs since the day I got here and this place does not, unfortunately, meet that mark. Came in with high hopes based on other reviews but what I got left me very disappointed. And hungry. Sure, the ladies are extremely friendly and welcoming. I appreciate that. There are a few issues that bring the rating down quite a bit though. I'm not sure if anything is made fresh in house. It's not hard for the taste buds to differentiate between frozen, reheated food and fresh-made fare. The lamb was dry, the tzatziki lacked flavor, the hummus was bland, the dolmas were almost certainly just thawed out, the "greek salad" had a single kalamata olive and a dusting of feta, there was a pile of unseasoned rice under everything, and I'm almost positive the greek dressing for the salad is the stuff you can buy at Costco right out of the bottle. The baklava was pretty tasty, but we were told by one of the employees that it was frozen and flown in from halfway across the country. On top of everything else, the wait was 20-30 minutes to shave a little lamb off the spinny thingy, warm up some pita, and tuck a bunch of unseasoned rice under the plate. read more

With two locations, Mina and Siranoosh (sp?) run the north location and their older sister and brother-in-law run the south location. They greet their return customers like members of the family. If I could, I'd give this place 4.5 stars. Here's why... Let's start with the good. Like Ellen A. said - their felafels are fantastic. Better than Garbanzo's and several other Greek places I've been. Their Gyros are delicious and the Spanikopita is a must order! The pita bread is soft and a perfect compliment to their meat. They have several plate combo options, so there's no reason you won't be able to order a mix of everything you want to try. They also have several vegetarian options!! Their lunch specials are a fantastic deal, where you get a combo plate and free drink for $6.50, though it seems most all the combos available are chicken primarily (two vegetarian ones, though). No gyro love for the specials.. but, like I said, their gyro is delicious, so I'm willing to spend an extra buck or two. Also, they offer platters and party trays, though you'll need to order a day ahead for those. Now my gripes. They use styrofoam plates and cups. Big uck in my opinion. Not only do the forks stab into the plates, but they're highly environmentally un-friendly. I'm alright with a place using disposal dishware, but plastic and styrofoam are definitely NOT the way to go. I understand that it's generally cheaper.. but seriously, not okay. Their drinks are a bit pricey, and there's a $0.50 charge for refills on a 16oz cup. You could walk over to Albertson's and get a 2L for the price of a soda here. Bottom Line, though, is that this is a great family owned and operated place. It's locally own and operated, and it's not part of some chain (no offense Garbanzo's). This is a good, solid Greek place. If you're not sure about Greek and are willing to try something authentic, come here. Otherwise, start with Garbanzo's and work your way up to this place. read more
