Was in the mood for some Greek food so I found this place on Google and decided to stop by for lunch. It's a cute little mom and pop shop and the food was good! I got the gyro plate and really enjoyed the thin slices and spices in the gyro meat. The rice was also very delicious and their sauces were super good. The staff was nice and friendly.

I was surprised to see some of the negative reviews on here! Maybe I just didn't notice any uncleanliness since I was ordering to go, but the restaurant interior seemed fine for what it was. May be a bit old and outdated, but all I can think about is how great the food is, with generous portion sizes and for a reasonable cost! The two ladies at the front were very kind - you can tell they are very hard working and they were prompt with my order. I ordered a Gyro wrap with a side salad. Again, the portions were very generous and I LOVE the tzatziki sauce. Some room for improvement could be to make their menu with updated prices available on their website since their prices were a good $5 higher than the menu photos I was able to find online, but I think the quality of food and portion sizes are worth it!

I really enjoy the food here. I always end up stopping by here when I'm in the area (usually DMV), and I'm always satisfied. My go to is the lamb gyro - extremely tender and juicy meat coupled with fresh veggies and refreshing yogurt sauce. Generous portions too so the value is there. Not blown away by the ambiance, but that's not why I'm here. Would recommend if you're in the area and looking for a quick lunch.

Gyro plate: salad, rice, pita bread and processed meat

I was excited to try this place out because of the 5 star reviews in Yelp. We came in late in the afternoon. The place was relatively clean with only two tables occupied. We ordered the gyro plate because they didn't have the other plates available (not even spanakopita). The menu display at the counter does not explain what's in a "plate" (prices are also not indicated). We waited around 10-15 minutes before the lady said the food is available so you pick up the tray from the counter. The plate consists of "Greek" salad, rice, pita bread and some kind of processed meat. The food is alright, not bad. I was expecting the meat to be real meat with fibers though (which what I usually get when I order a gyros anywhere). Here, the meat has the consistency of luncheon meat sliced in long strips. I guess I expected more because of the 5 star reviews.

We came just a little after 11 am and there was already quite a few people here, so we knew we yelped the correct spot for trying some Greek food. The menu is kind of confusing, as it doesn't list what comes on each different kind of gyro, or what makes a combo, meal versus platter. I asked what the differences are and the very kind and informative employee helped and suggested we go with the combo which includes the gyro, fries and drink. Food came out 10-15 minutes later which wasn't bad for how busy they were, they were definitely hustling! The fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned and honestly were great on their own, but we did opt to dip them in Tzatziki sauce because that sauce is just amazing! The gyro was loaded full of lamb, sauce, lettuce and tomato and was very refreshing! Their salads look amazing and we will be back to try those next!

Caspian Cafe is a family run restaurant. It's close to the highway (I-25) at the Garden of The Gods exit. I made a reservation for a Monday evening dinner and feel fortunate that I did. Again, surprised at how busy it was for a weekday. So, I do recommend reservations. My waitress was very friendly and personable. She told me that it was her second shift since starting employment there. I noticed some "rookie" mistakes. However, I feel that she did a great job. I was most impressed with how friendly she was. My waitress was also knowledgeable about entree options on the menu and they do have a variety to choose from! I was set on the Persian Chicken but changed my mind after the waitress told me that the Lamb Tangine with Apricots is delicious and that she has tried it before. So glad that I settled on the Lamb Tangine because it was delicious!! The portion size is plenty and will fill you up. Be careful not to fill up on bread with olive oil and vinegar for dipping. Also, I recommend an appetizer. I chose Baba Ganoush. It's served with small pieces of pita bread. Their Baba Ganoush isn't bad. I've had better. I prefer a creamier BG. Theirs is chunky. I passed on dessert. They have some nice dessert options. I probably would've chosen a dessert if I wasn't running somewhat behind for an event in downtown Springs. Overall, my experience was fantastic here. I will definitely return for more delicious Mediterranean food. I love how this place is intimate and family run. My final bill of sale was reasonable as well. Check out Caspian Cafe id you haven't been here before. Also, if you're passing through town or traveling to another destination, this isn't a bad option at all. If you have time to spare, get off on this exit, kick back and relax to enjoy some quality Mediterranean food. I hope you will be pleased with your experience here. Very much looking forward to my next visit!

Our waitress told us about the dinner specials which all sounded delicious. We ended up getting the Prime Rib for one of the dishes which was tender and perfectly cooked. The mashed potatoes were particularly delicious! We shared the spanakopita as an appetizer which was freshly made. They were slightly different that the traditional spanakopita (cut from a larger portion and with a sauce) but still good. I also ordered the gyro platter which seemed to be a popular choice with other tables too! While I'd love for more pita bread, everything was fresh and delicious! The tzatziki was particularly good. The restaurant has a romantic, dim-lit feel. It was a nice for a date night.

We got the combo platter and everything on it was amazing. The bread was fluffy with a smoky char, the grape leaves were rich ans savory with a tangy aftertaste. The hummas was smooth but had depth ans the felafel was crispy and worked well with the sauce. The staff was really nice and quick and checked in on us often. The atmosphere had a great vibe and they get bonus points for being a supportive place of palistine (from my understanding). I am going to be bringing friends and groups here very often.

The restaurant had some nice decor that resembled Jerusalem. The restaurant was clean, and the service was really good. For the appetizer recap, the hummus dip which came with slices of grilled pita bread, of course hummus, and heart shaped falafel's. I really enjoyed the heart shaped falafel's, and the hummus was delicious. We moved onto the entrées. I got a Kufta sandwich which came with fries. The only thing I did not like about my sandwich was there were pickles inside of it. Who puts pickles inside of a Kufta sandwich? My friend got the Beef & Lamb gyro plate, which was pack full of meat. We both tried each other's food and enjoyed the flavors. My favorite part of our dinner was the sage tea. I love this tea no matter what middle eastern restaurant I go to if they are serving it I get it. They also presented it well in a beautiful metal teapot with cute glass cups. Overall, it was a decent experience and if I am in Colorado Springs, I will definitely come back to this restaurant and eat again.
