Corn Chowder and Chicken baguette sandwich
    Cliff S.

It was a little disappointed - the food was good, but I expect better. I ordered a chicken salad on a baguette. The chicken as well as the onions and celery was chopped so finely than the majority of taste was mayonnaise! In fact when you bite into the baguette all the Chicken Salad would squish out. I prefer bite size or larger chicken. The celery should be 1/4 bite size. Mayonnaise should be minimal. You should taste the chicken and feel the crunch of the celery and taste the chicken, celery, onions and lastly mayonnaise. I also had the corn chowder soup. It was think on corn chowder. Tasted good, could not determine that it was corn chowder. The baguette and the roll with the soup seemed a day or two old.

The food is extraordinary and the service is professional but understaffed. Having one more floater/counter person would make a big difference in customer service when the queues build up.

    Ham croissant sandwich with cantaloupe

This is my favorite breakfast place of all time! The croissant sandwich is to die for, the croissant is perfect! Buttery, soft yet crispy all in one. The ham, egg, and cheese pairs so well with sweet and savory. Every bite is like heaven, I could eat this every day. They give you seasonal fruit, the cantaloupe was so sweet and just ripe. Shared the cinnamon roll, which they heat up so its warm and easy to pull apart! They have too many pastries, and it's hard to pick just one. This is a cute French bistro you have to try!

We stopped by for some takeout after a morning in the mountains with friends. We were famished and looking for something delicious and relatively healthy. My wife had visited La Tartine recently and she said it was great. I went with a baguette sandwich and a salad and my wife had the French onion soup and a salad. The salads were large and very fresh with a fantastic dressing on the side. My baguette was delicious and very filling. My wife said the French onion soup was the best she's had in town. We'll be back for sure!

It was my first time here, and I ordered takeout--but for $14, the portion felt disappointing. The in-store version of this dish looks much bigger, with more meat, while mine had only two or three pieces. On top of that, the bread was rock hard, it softened after I microwaved it with some water. Overall, it was just okay, but definitely not worth the price.

I had never been here but heard good things about it. I'm generally..being honest not a big chicken salad person BUT this place has changed my mind! I ordered the Sassy Scotty! Ranch, bacon and cheddar chicken salad! Yum! They have a chicken salad for everybody's taste buds! Such a unique idea! You can have the chicken salad as a scoop, 2 scoops or a sandwich! They also have turkey sandwiches and bacon sandwich sandwiches.. and lots of other items on their menu! Their cold teas are very good as well! The service was very good! And the establishment is so cute and the design is so fun! I will definitely be going back to try a few other things that I saw!

Clearly also busy getting other orders ready and such. The next one to come to the counter wouldn't let my mother finish her sentences when trying to ask a question and wasted her own time repeating what the first one had told us. She then called the next person in line (who had just arrived - like 30 seconds ago) while we were standing there ready to order. She came off with even more of an attitude when we took exception. I walked out so I wouldn't get overly nasty to her. I might come back some time and give it another go. Hopefully the rude lady slows down and shows some grace for folks like my mom in the future. I'm almost sure that she was just amped up for the lunch hour but unfortunately struck out.

I stopped in on a busy Saturday evening around 9:00 PM to place a takeout order. I ordered the Mom's Pot Pie and the BBQ Bison Meatloaf, then waited in the lobby near the hostess stand. After approximately 45 minutes, I asked the hostess if my order was ready. She checked with the kitchen and discovered that it had been sitting there waiting, but no one had notified her that it was ready for pickup. At that point, I was concerned that my food had been sitting long enough to become cold. I brought the issue to a manager, as the hostess seemed relatively unconcerned about the delay. To the manager's credit, they immediately removed one of the meals from the bill as an apology for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, I still had a 30-minute drive back to my Airbnb, and neither meal was at its best by the time I was able to eat it. Three days later, the credit for the discounted meal had still not appeared on my card, so I contacted management. They ultimately made things right by comping the entire order, which I genuinely appreciated. Given the restaurant's strong reviews, I suspect the food would have been much better if I had dined in or received it fresh. While I appreciate the efforts management made to correct the situation, the multiple inconveniences made it difficult to rate the experience more highly. I would be willing to give Lazy Dog another chance in the future, but next time I would choose to dine in rather than order takeout.
