K8. Shah Combo Kabob (Lamb, Chicken and Ground Beef)
Josh M.

Super tasty and authentic Afghan food in the springs. I really was impressed with how juicy and tender the meats the served were. Portions were huge for the price and it was restaurant quality food! Will definitely be back and will recommend this to anyone willing to try something a little different!

Food: This is my first time with Afghan foods, but every bites I taste are mouth watering. From lamb chops til combo meat plate, meats are so well marinated, juicy & tender. Paired well with rice & delicious fluffy naan! The combo came with bean in spicy coconut based soup that you can dip with naan. Also, refreshing side salad. Portions are generous compare to fair prices tagged. Cream horn dessert is so light, yummy & filled with deliciousness. Service: Ordered at the cashier then they will serve you foods. Foods around by 15 mins. Friendly staffs & they gave veteran discounts! Ambiance: Clean bathroom with dyson airblader! Nice comfortable booth & chairs. Perfect for family meal or co-worker meet up. Sum up: Even though, Shah located almost 30 Mins from my house but I'll definitely try to eat there again :)

I cannot say enough good things about this place! I food is soooo good and fresh. The owner is always super nice and is usually there working as well! I miss living around the corner from it haha. If I'm ever in the area, I'm definitely stopping by to get my fix.

Shah Kabob House is always our favorite! We ordered the family meal for New Year's Eve Lunch/Dinner. Everything was amazing except I did order 5 extra naan and they forgot them. We had 6 people to feed, so not everyone was able to have a full naan. Either way, the food not only fed all 6 of us, we all had more later on for dinner. Lots of food and amazing as always.

Cheesecake Baklava

The food was delicious! I ordered the falafel. However, the highlight for me was the cheesecake baklava. I had never heard of such a thing. They were melt in your mouth AMAZING! The staff was very friendly and genuine. I will definitely be back!

Main menu

Clean, well organized, big portions, fairly priced. Lamb kebab was lean, tender, moist, perfectly seasoned and delicious. Salad fresh and crisp. Chickpeas flavorful and spiced right. Plenty of everything on the plate: perfect lamb, salad and big fresh homemade naan, lightly seasoned basmati rice, chickpeas. They offer beef (steak or ground), chicken, three cuts of lamb, felafel, wraps, five desserts and five appetizers to choose from. Everything I tried was perfectly prepared and fresh. Looking forward to trying more!

Food was delicious-- we came in with 3 kiddos and everyone enjoyed what they had. Gyro, steak, and the falafel were all well seasoned. I order falafel often and this by far was in the top 3 I've had. Portions were generous. I split one gyro plate between an 8,5, and 1 yr old. I love baklava and ordered some to share for the kids- it was their first time having it and they loved the sweet treat. Staff was friendly, attentive, and the food came out fresh/piping hot. Highly recommend if you are in the CO Springs area.

My favorite food place to eat in the springs! I will always make an effort to eat here when visiting. The service is not that long of a wait. Military environment but well deserved due to the quality of food.

Delicious! Everything tasted amazing, and it was the best hummus I've ever had! Would definitely come back :)

Chicken, ground beef, lamb

We had the chicken, lamb and ground beef kabobs. Couldn't really tell the difference between the lamb and ground beef. If you've ever had both you know this is concerning. The chickpeas were good. They tasted like traditional refried beans, which was odd but good. The downside was there was only 3 bites of them and they were the only part of the meal I actually was happy with. Salad was ok, nothing special. The baklava was delicious but scammy. The website advertises a portion twice the size that we received. I felt conned. While it may have been great, I would have never ordered it had I realized it was so tiny. It's not worth the price at all. The eggplant borani was also not as expected. In addition the presentation and prep issues, the eggplants seeds were overwhelming. If someone had told me they added lemon seeds I would have believed it. We eat eggplant at least once a week so for me to say I took issue with them is no joke.

I had the super flu last week which knocked my taste buds out and gave me plenty of time to salivate over what I was going to try here in town once I started feeling better. Finally, this week I am back on the mend and I told my family we had to try Shah Kabob House because the photos and reviews looked to good to pass up. The reviews did not disappoint at all! Everything we had was fresh, flavorful and phenomenal from start to finish. The naan and garlic whip hummus plate were so good we had two! We also had the steak, spicy chicken and gyro plates all of which were so tender and juicy. The rice was on point and is something I find hard for a lot of places to get right, but Shah has got it!! The service was so welcoming and warm. We sat in a corner booth and watched as customer after customer came in were consistently greeted by the staff like they were old friends, neighborhoods, or even family. It's clear that this place is so much more than just a restaurant, it's a gathering house for community, togetherness, sharing culture and honoring military service. We will without a doubt be back and next time we will wear our stretchy pants! Lol.

Really tasty and generous portions! A nice surprise among a neighborhood mostly full of fast food chains. Try the baklava!

This is one of my.favorite resraunts in colorado springs (and we have been to a lot)…read more It is the perfect combo of great food at a good price and great portions. We got the combo platter and everything on it was amazing. The bread was fluffy with a smoky char, the grape leaves were rich ans savory with a tangy aftertaste. The hummas was smooth but had depth ans the felafel was crispy and worked well with the sauce. The staff was really nice and quick and checked in on us often. The atmosphere had a great vibe and they get bonus points for being a supportive place of palistine (from my understanding). I am going to be bringing friends and groups here very often.

My friend and I were starving after leaving the Hot Springs so he suggested we get Middle Eastern…read morefood because he had just come back from Dubai. The restaurant had some nice decor that resembled Jerusalem. The restaurant was clean, and the service was really good. The woman who was attending to our table was very polite and suggested quite a few different dishes. For the appetizer recap, the hummus dip which came with slices of grilled pita bread, of course hummus, and heart shaped falafel's. I really enjoyed the heart shaped falafel's, and the hummus was delicious. We moved onto the entrées. I got a Kufta sandwich which came with fries. The only thing I did not like about my sandwich was there were pickles inside of it. Who puts pickles inside of a Kufta sandwich? My friend got the Beef & Lamb gyro plate, which was pack full of meat. We both tried each other's food and enjoyed the flavors. My favorite part of our dinner was the sage tea. I love this tea no matter what middle eastern restaurant I go to if they are serving it I get it. They also presented it well in a beautiful metal teapot with cute glass cups. Overall, it was a decent experience and if I am in Colorado Springs, I will definitely come back to this restaurant and eat again.
