This has been my go to Greek spot for as long as I can remember, as they have fantastic food, and has always hit the spot...... tonight, I just flew home from work, and picked up some food..... they forgot to pack the soup I ordered. It happens. I called them up, and the first thing they said was "what's your address?" I normally do not leave reviews, but in this case I will. Last night we ordered Greek food from our usual place in Amityville on Merrick road. They seem lately to forget items on the order. I asked for feta cheese on the side. They forgot it all together. The gyro salad just does not tase the same without it in my opinion. So I called them immediately from home to get the feta that comes with my salad. It was 8:35 pm and they were already closed, went to voice message. Well, not only did they miss the feta, the gyro meat looked like they cut back on the portion size. Not having any recourse for my feta cheese problem and it looked like I would still be hungry after eating what was supposed to be a "LARGE", I ordered a Gyro sandwich, side of fries and my missing feta from Greek Delights in Massapequa on Merrick road. The sandwich was amazing loaded full of meat and LTO. It was delicious and filling. The fries tasted great rather than some places seem to never change their oil. If you crave Authentic Greek food locally, then try Greek Delights next door to All American burger, you won't be disappointed with the taste or value regarding portion size! Visit Date: October 12, 2014 So I went pumpkin picking with my family at Hick's nursery. After pumpkin picking they decided they wanted to eat at American Burger. It seems plenty of people like American Burger but when Hubby and I stopped there over the winter it sucked and I vowed not to eat there again. So while everyone else in my family was chowing down on American Burger I walked across to this place for some food. It's somewhat small but there's still ample seating and a walk up take out window. The decor is part Mediterranean part pizza place. The food is really good, I got the taramasala dip, a cheese pie and a spinach pie. I loved all three of them. I couldn't finish everything and my little brother happily agreed to gobble up what I couldn't finish. He loved the spinach pie and cheese pie, he ate them faster than a seagull scavenging food at the beach. Everything was perfect, the classic greek food you would expect to eat. Perfect phyllo dough that melts in your mouth and falls apart as you eat it, great fresh ingredients inside, the dip was perfect. I wish they had given me more pita bread to eat my dip with though because I had a ton of leftover dip afterwards. My verdict - I'd be back here again and I have a back up plan in case my family decides they have to eat at American Burger again. read more

Should of looked online before ordering. The salad was a disappointment. I've never ordered a Greek salad and didn't have any cucumbers or green peppers in it. This little hole in the wall place has been there for what seems like forever, and it isn't fancy, but some things here are just so good. The place has zero ambiance. Old tables with benches attached, coke fridges, and tiled floors. The place always seems a little dirty and dingy no matter how often I seem them cleaning it. The last time I visited my gyro was weak. It had about 5 pieces of meat in it and was just full of lettuce. Totally lame and the meat was dry and the tahini sauce had the same texture as glue. But, they do have a saving grace. Their rice pilaf is life changing. With the peas cooked with tomatoes makes it even better. I just love it and could eat an absurd amount of it. Grabbed dinner here with my parents this week because this is their favorite Greek place. It's tiny and intimate. As soon as you sit down they serve you warm pita with chick peas which is so great! I may have eaten a bit too much of it. My entree came with a salad which was massive and I filled up on that before my meal even came out. I ordered the chicken kabob with the lemon potatoes and I ended up taking most of it home because I was so full. The portions are big enough to satisfy all. Extremely disappointing!!! I spent over $50 and all three meals were horrible. Chicken gyro had literally 2 pieces of meat in it and a head of lettuce. No tzatziki, no feta no nothing. Lettuce was watery. No taste. Pork souvlaki platter had 5 small chunks of meat and the rice was flavorless. Horrible for $21. Greek wrap was literally sopping wet w/wet lettuce so much so that the wrap itself fell apart Into pieces. Again, no feta no nothing, just lettuce and celery with radish. Will not be returning. I'm really a sucker for gyros/Greek salads I could easily eat it once a week. Located across from the ever popular all American, this very tiny Greek restaurant offers very yummy gyros and Greek salads alike. Waiting for my order on a Saturday night their phone was non stop with orders coming in so you know the food isn't sitting around, it's freshhh. Ordered a medium Greek salad with gyro meat (you can get small, medium or large). I really liked the dressing on the salad and it wasn't overly herb-y like some Greek dressings can be, more just fresh dill with a more vinegar dressing taste. The salad was slightly over dressed, but still tasted good. I just couldn't eat my left overs the next day because it got too soggy so maybe ask for it on the side if you're like me and have left overs frequently. The gyro meat had pieces that were a little crisper than others which was yummy and the actual meat had a great lamb flavor and was seasoned well. Came with tzatziki and a warm pita. Had about a third of my salad left over. Onion rings are frozen and nothing to write home about (with the bread crumb coating not batter) stick with the Greek stuff! Come to think of it they didn't have stuffed grape leaves in the salad, that was a bummer. Unless they forgot mine, Still a good salad though :) read more
