    Mix Platter

The food here is amazing. Generous portions. Enough for leftovers. I generally get the Mix Platter of Marinated Chicken & Gyro. The rice is fluffy and amazing. Don't miss the side of hummus and baklava! Everything is good. You can't go wrong. The service here is always top notch. Very polite and efficient. The restaurants are always clean. This is their third location I have visited. Sam Ridley in Smyrna, Memorial Blvd in the Boro, and now here on New Salem. They are all FIVE STAR locations. Greek Gyro is run by good people and it shows. They can open more restaurants and I will go visit them all too!

Amazing food, and they fill the gyro with a large portion of meat. Greek Gyros is our new favorite gyro spot now that we're in Murfreesboro

I've been planning a visit since I occasionally travel past this location and noticed the high Yelp rating. And I really love Greek food. We arrived and were warmly greeted and they were in the process of mopping the floors, indicating a concern for cleanliness (as did the cylinders of sanitary/wet wipes on each table). The prices were decent and the portions were huge. I had the house platter so I could sample the most items. And to this I added french fries and a soft drink. My wife had the chicken platter and also received a huge portion. Despite the business's name, it appears this is closer to Egyptian rather than Greek cuisine. The french fries were perfect - crisp and nicely seasoned. Also, there's no salt on the tables (only hot sauce), although little salt & pepper packets can be found on a wall shelf. The pita bread was soft and warm. Of the meats, the gyro had some subtle flavor and was nice. Nothing tasted bad, but the salad, feta, chicken, rice, tzatziki, etc. was incredibly bland. In fact, it was so tasteless that it was off-putting and we couldn't even finish our meals. We're clearly not the target audience for this type of offering.

I honestly have never had a restaurant prepared meal that was even remotely prepared to this caliber of perfection! Alright here we go.... FOOD: We ordered WAY TOO MUCH, but we wanted to get a full understanding of what they were about, that and the pictures in the menu looked amazing. I always ask for suggestions when I'm trying something new.....And you can always tell when it's a knowledgeable, helpful and caring person by what they recommend....the 4 to 5 gentlemen who took care of us brought us an abundance of delicious and beautifully presented foods, including sides and specialties...we were blown away!! Service was beyond perfect....it really feels like you're hanging out with the family you always kinda wanted...lol! Above and beyond!!! Ambiance is comforting and relaxing not at all pretentious with plenty of room for large groups and families to enjoy together. I base a lot of my opinions about the overall quality of the restaurants that I review on the cleanliness of their restrooms....it's a "basic bottle line" that says everything you need to know about where you could potentially be eating and drinking by doing nothing more than taking a quick trip to the toilet. If it's a mess, LEAVE!! If it's kept up, well stocked and CLEAN, then hug the owner, tell your friends and family to eat there and write a good review because phenomenal places with pristine restrooms like Edessa are becoming a rarity, a thing of the past, a novelty in a new era of nasty, busted and gross establishments serving crap.... Try Edessa, you won't be disappointed!!

Food is great, and you can taste the ingredients are fresh. Their falafel is the perfect texture - good crisp to the exterior but light and fluffy and herby on the inside. Their falafel lemon tahini sauce is bright and smooth, a nice compliment. Tabouleh salad is not my favorite, way too dry and felt like I was gnawing on a dry bunch of parsley from the grocery store. Grapes leaves, order them. Hummus was smooth and creamy, pita hot. Their lamb smelled delicious but I'm not eating meat at the moment so didn't try it. Service is quick and kind. Prices very reasonable. Looking forward to trying more goodies next time!

It is a family owned and operated restaurant serving an authentic and traditional Mediterranean style family spread meant for sharing. They also serve sand brewed coffees, specialized hot and cold teas, Mocktails and bake all of their breads and desserts in house fresh every day. The staff are very friendly and one of the owners was giving us our check after we were done eating and actually started a conversation with us and told us that one of the things they are known for is Hospitality. Everyone was so nice and it just complimented the delicious food. My wife and myself got the Family size Tashtea Breakfast for 2. It was definitely enough food for 2. This is a Kurdish-Turkish restaurant, and the food was absolutely amazing. Everything we ordered was fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. The prices were also very reasonable. At times, our server got a little distracted talking with other customers, but I understand that they were just trying to be welcoming and friendly. I used to run a restaurant myself, so I know how busy things can get. They may just need to pay a little more attention to all the tables. Overall, we had a great experience. We also had the Lamb Kabob and Chicken Tikka, and both were well cooked and tasted good. Overall, it's a solid Mediterranean restaurant with good food, but it didn't quite stand out from other Mediterranean spots I've visited. Still, it's worth a visit if you're in the area and craving Mediterranean cuisine.
