I'm a sucker for a good lunch spot and had been to this place before but didn't to review it. Finally had extra time to go today and check it out again. The aroma when you walk in this place is incredible. The air is filled with spices and aromas of cooked meat. The staff was incredibly helpful on recommendations. The seating is a mix of tables and Mediterranean/middle eastern themed. I ended up with the crispy chicken shawarma wrap. I believe they put sumac on the outside of the wrap and grill it into the bread. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and such a great bite. The best part for me was the baklava. I eat at a lot of local gyro places and have had baklava from most of them. This was the best baklava I have ever had! Can't wait to go back and get a mixed platter to try out more things. read more

I've ordered Murfreesboro Kabob for delivery many times and always loved the food! When I finally visited in person, the staff and atmosphere created a fantastic experience reminiscent of a Middle Eastern tea room. First, you order at the counter and they charge a 3% fee to use a credit card which is added to the tax and food bill. When you tip, it's on top of it all. We had 8 people. First 2 were served. About 5 minutes later 2 more were served. Waited and eventually 2 more were served. The last 2 had to ask for their food. Some food was room temperature. Not safe for meat. My family and I have been looking for a good Greek spot out here in the Boro and honestly this may be it! Murfreesboro Kabob is now on my list of fave spots. We came on a weekday night so it wasn't packed. I'm not sure if they were understaffed but the wait time was a bit long despite there only being two other groups of customers. I'd definitely say the food is worth the wait though! My husband and I tried their fire fries to share. I got the chicken bowl with extra pita bread on the side and extra sauce as well. Honestly I thoroughly enjoyed everything. The fries and bowl are big enough for a couple people to share, so keep that in mind if you don't want any leftovers. Been here twice now and it is a nice place with good food that has alot of flavor. The price versus portion size is good. We have tried the shawarma quesadilla which is pretty big, the beef bowl, and the beef kabob wrap. The meats are seasoned good and juicy and the wraps and quesadilla comes with fries. Do wish they gave you a tad bit more fries but thats ok. You will leave full and satisfied regardless of if it is to go or dining in. Definitely one of our favorite newest finds. Seriously...the flavors of this dish are incredible and the rice was perfect. Both the lamb and beef were extremely tender but with a nice char so you could taste the grilling. First ever trip to Boro Kabob right off the square in downtown Murfreesboro. This will not be our last! Walked in to a very fun ambiance, comfortable seating, nice music (at a very appropriate volume level), and talked to the guy at the counter. Told him we'd never been before and asked for recommendations. My mans couldn't have been more welcoming and provided plenty of rec's. We ended up getting a ton of things to try - several starters, a tea, and two entrees. Everything, every single bite was delicious! The tea was fantastic. The fresh mint added such a nice aspect to the flavor. The cilantro jalapeño hummus was so very different than any other hummus we've had. (For anyone concerned, it isn't spicy at all, just very flavorful!) the white bean soup was fantastic, and the falafel balls were SO unique compared to any other we have had elsewhere. The entrees were PACKED with flavor. So many unique and delicious seasonings unlike ANY other restaurant in the Boro (or really anywhere in Mid TN). Kabobs and chicken were amazing, rice - super flavorful, shawarma EXCELLENT, and even the fries that came with the wrap were covered in such a unique spice. For anyone wondering, this is NOT your run of the mill Greek/Mediterranean style food. It's more Middle Eastern/Turkish/Moroccan style. We have been here several times now! And they always deliver!
