Not a single person greeted me nor helped me. Straw selection is very limited unless you want a twister or atwood. I'd have settled for an atwood but I couldn't find a single hat in my size.. oh well. Would've loved to see some resistor or american hats. read more

I'm at a loss for words in a way. I always wanted a hat like this, but was afraid I wouldn't get the right one, right kind, wrong fit, wrong brand. But I've been bonding with my dad over Yellowstone - fantastic show - and I recently grew a beard, so I thought, well, now's the time to see if that hat works, ya know? I trusted Greeley Hat Works based on reputation, and them having done hats for the show, but I will be back because of my own experience, their amazing team, their care for the customer experience, the little touches like the signatures on the inside of the sweatband... honestly, I never knew how quickly I could come to be so attached to an article of clothing until now. I will wear my Greeley Hat Works hat til I'm tits up in the dirt, if you'll excuse the language, and even then, it's probably the most impressive item around. I appreciate what you delivered to me - money well spent, trust earned - and I'm a happy, will-return customer, and I just want to impart on any strangers stumbling on my review, you can't go wrong with these folks. If you are buying a stock off the shelf western hat, you might be okay here. Just don't try to get any custom work done. I brought in a Spanish American War campaign hat that needed to be reblocked. They wouldn't touch it. Fair enough. I took it elsewhere. That is not the reason for the bad review. I brought two hats here and they screwed them both up beyond repair. The first was a wool and beaver hair fedora that I have had for decades. The 'starch' was breaking down and I wanted it reblocked. They suggested that I change out the sweatband as well. When I got it back it was unwearable. They took it again, and again, a complete mess. They tried again, and still, could not make it work. Their sweatbands are twice as thick as a standard band, which is all good and well if your hat is too big, but if your hat fits, it will make it too tight. But beyond this fact, the way the band was attached it made the front of the hat pucker. I eventually dropped $800 on a new hat and tossed this one in the trash (after forming over more than a c note for them to reblocked this one. But the destruction that they did to my good straw Panama is beyond words. All that I wanted was a swat band put in and the silk ribbon from my grandfather's hat put on it. Nothing more. When I got it back, they had reblocked it and in doing so the crown was now too tall and now instead of a 2 1/4" brim, it has a 1 3/4" brim. It sits so tall on the head that it's practically a top hat at this point! Looks completely goofy. Add to this the aforementioned sweatband that is too thick so when the hat is placed on the head it is tight and contorts the brim. But perhaps the biggest insult is the fact that they charged me to hot glue the band in place. SERIOUSLY?!?! Hot glue??? Like I couldn't glue a hat together. I was expecting the sweatband to be sewn into place. And just to add insult to injury, I brought the sweatband in that was sold to me with the hat. It was much thinner leather and would not change the shape of the hat like this fat thing does. My girlfriend told me to take it back - AGAIN, but it is more than an hour drive for me, and I didn't see the point given the fact that I have ZERO faith in their abilities at this point. Good luck with your hat adventures with this shop, it can't be worse than my experience (I'm about to throw my un-worn panama in the trash and start again with another shop - I'll add some photos). I only wish there was a good hat shop in Colorado where I could buy high quality hats, and have someone that has a talent for customizing them. read more

So fun! We loved our visit. My husband got his head sized, which was extremely entertaining. The staff were all patient, kind, and informative. The owner spent lots of time explaining all the options, positives and negatives. A very interesting stop to say the least, even just to look around! Lots of memorabilia and cool articles. While they do have a great selection of hats their customer service has completely left the building since Travis left. They are disrespectful towards their customers, they talk down to their customers. I would never recommend this hat place to anyone. We have bought about 10 custom cowboy hats from their and will never go back. I hope that they can listen to their customers and improve but until then I would never recommend this store to anyone. They are not very welcoming to anyone who is apart of the cowboy lifestyle. read more
