I walk in on a Sunday, and the associate there was as, of no help. When asking questions about getting my eyes checked. Seems like she was more into not doing her job, She seemed miserable sitting behind the computer. I guess I expect more from an associate. I didn't even feel welcomed in this place. I just went into this store. If I could give the store a negative star I should would. What a horrible horrible experience I ever had a a store. The girl at the front counter was so very rude rolling her eye at us and acting like we were putting her out since she had to do something. As my friend was explaining his problem and what he needed she got even ruder and disrespectful. I couldn't get her name as her name tag was covered on purpose. working in retail for 12 years, this is a prime example of what not to do. the doctor was not knowledgeable and we were made to wait for almost an hour. They were not busy just let other patients go ahead of us.

I purchased new glasses from Visionworks in Greeley in October of 2023, new glasses were great with the exception of the progressive lenses being too high, so would have to wear glasses half way down my nose to see correctly. I took them back and they sent them in for new lenses and when they came back progressive was in correct place, but now the distance vision was blurry. I went back again and was told there was NOTHING they could do, as the prescription was correct. So using my old glasses that are scratched up, and can see distance fine with them. I guess Visionworks 100 day no questions guarantee, is not worth the paper it is wrote on. read more

Today I went in. My glasses had my bifocal above the middle of the lens. When I pointed out who made the mistake, Ms Urick the store manager said well ," Well she's only human." She explained that my out of pocket refund could take up to 30 days to adjust. She didn't explain it would take my insurance that long. When I repeated what she had stated, " well I'm only human" Ms Urick said she'd continue exiting me and wanted not to do business with me and work it out. When I asked for her supervisor she stated that corporate won't let me call them but to call the 1-800 customer service number. That number doesn't take complaints. So not only did she undermine the importance of their mistake but lost her temper when I said I'm only human in my understanding as well. She tried to block me from speaking to her supervisor. I've gone to this store for years. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE! They're uncaring, and their ridiculous and negligent service is downplayed . Never go to them again. Unbelievable! The BBB gave this company in Greeley a C-. It should be lower. read more

Horrible communication. My husband ordered glasses over a month ago. They had put the wrong frames on the order so instead of calling him to fix the issue, they canceled the order. Which would have been fine if they had called and told us, refunded the $160 he had paid for the order, or stopped payment from the insurance company. However, they did none of those things. The lady working told him her manager wasn't there. Turns out she is the manager. They said they'd call back and then never did. They stopped answering his phone calls. I called from my phone and they answered immediately. After a nice conversation with them they had his glasses in in 3 days. We were loyal customers and love that doctor but we won't be back after this. read more

I go to Greeley vision works every year for my glasses!! I had a great experience, with doctor and staff. A few weeks after my purchase, I was bumped and my glasses were broke. I went in expecting a huge expense to replace them, but was sooooo surprised at the cost. Vision works is the best!! read more

The docs are great here. We've been getting our eyes checked here for years. The customer service is horrible though. I had to call to find out if my glasses were delivered. Who knows how long they have had them. Drove to Greeley on a Sunday not realizing they changed their hours and were closed. Went back on Monday at 3:30 and they were closed again! I looked in the window to see why the doors were locked. Standing behind the counter was Katherine, the general manager. She looked right at me, turned on her heel and stepped in the office out of sight. I called, she didn't answer. Called 10 minutes later and she said she was on her lunch break. The optometrist I saw was phenomenal and identified an issue that no other eye doctor has ever been able to address. However there is one employee up front named Kay who is very easily distracted and takes a very long time to do almost anything. She will literally just stop what she is doing to stare at something going on with another customer, even if it has nothing to do with what she's currently working on. She also brings her kid to work and lets the behind the sales counter, which fine I get not having childcare but don't let the kid back behind the counter. I kind of dread going in because I always have to deal with this employee. read more

Exam was fast and efficient. Checkout however took forever. I inly wanted to pay for the exam and leave. This was clearly not a priority for the woman working the counter. I had to wait while she helped other people shop and decide what they want. I mean come on! I just want to pay and leave a credit card transaction and gone. No! I have to sit. This is frustrating because all I want to do is pay the $2 get the printed copy of the prescription and leave. It should take less time than purchasing a soda at the gas station. read more

Doc was great only issue is they said 70$ for an exam for contacts and glasses but turns out they add 59$ for the contact exam...not only does it irritate me that they are not aware of the prices but now I wait to be checked out for 35 mins?! How does NO ONE know what is happening?! read more

Very poor customer service and incompetent when it comes to insurance. I've come back a few times hoping for a different experience, but it's very clear I just need to go somewhere else. They charge $70 for a contact eye exam and then another $49 for a fit that they don't do anything. What a rip off. read more

Terrible service! Be aware unless you're considered essential like there is an emergency reason for you to see the doctor they won't take you. Something 2 employees failed to mention. So I made the appt online, didn't see anything talked to 2 employees over the phone, didn't mention anything, and still went through signing my name to a bunch of documents just for them to say the dr isn't seeing anyone unless you have an emergency. It may help to let people know that, or at the very least post it somewhere since you all have terrible customer service. I'll be glad to take my business elsewhere. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. Go anywhere else! Besides the fact that they're all incredibly rude they placed the order for my contacts wrong twice and never told me anything about it. I've been waiting over two MONTHS for my contacts that I paid for and have not received them yet. When I've tried to call to check status they told me that's "normal". I've had contacts for 10 years... never waited more than 2 weeks. They won't even refund me for the money. And they will not status me they just say "oh they should be here soon". I've moved out of Greeley by this point. I've been to concerts, the beach, weddings etc all things I could've really used contacts for I CANT SEE. They should be shut down. read more

We went to Visionworks for glasses after a bad experience with another company in Ft. Collins. We had a great experience. The staff seemed knowledgeable, they were able to get us 2 pairs of glasses in about an hour and they took time to listen to us. I am really surprised by the other review. We initially did not go to this office because of the review listed, so I wanted to clear this up. We thought they were very good, professional and caring. read more

I have been coming to vision works for years. I haven't gone anywhere else and have always had amazing experiences here. That is until I came in to pick up a new trial contact lens. Granted it was after seven in the evening but it's still no excuse for the horrid customer service. I asked the girl if she had my trials and I also needed a copy of my eye glass and contact lens prescriptions. She refused to give me any of my prescriptions and told me I needed to come back in when a doctor was in, I asked again for my prescriptions and she again refused to let me have them. I'm back again today and currently waiting to see a doctor and also asked for someone else to help me. I'm not sure if I will continue to come here if they are going to keep up with the poor services. read more

I took my mother to put new lenses into a pair of glasses she had. She received a call saying that her frames were too old and one of the arms broke while they were working on it. So, she took them another pair that were a year old, due to eye surgery she had and could no longer wear them, plus she wanted a change of frames. She took these frames in and the woman who waited on her was surprised she had another pair of frames to put the lenses in. After they put her lenses in, my mother was very pleased. The woman who attended her said she needed to make them tighter, but my mother objected, because they fit her perfectly. This woman was very adamant, and took the frames from her. She came back after a very long wait, and said another arm was broken. My mother knew they were perfect when she took them, and now they are broken??? She was very rude, and told my mother to start looking into another frame in the store. My mother was so upset because she knew something happened while her glasses were in the hands of this clerk. She left taking her broken glasses. She told the clerk that she had to think about spending more money on frames when the ones she had were perfect before this woman got her hands on them. We just lost my father, and my mother is still fragile and she's already a senior. I believe this woman abused her glasses so she would have to buy another pair. I believe Visionworks is trying to take advantage of a senior because of her age. I don't want to take my mother back again, and here I was thinking of going and having my eyes checked and purchasing new glasses myself. Now I know better. Stay out of this store!!! read more

We have been going there for 8 years and have never had a problem and receive quick efficient service. The other plus is no matter where you are they have your records and can replace your glasses like we have had to do in Las Vegas and Washington DC WHEN my husband had troubles with his eyes. Stay away! This place was absolutely terrible. My daughter and I had 12:00 and 12:15 appointments and the staff didn't even acknowledge our presence until after 12:30. We were finally seen at about 1:00 by a less than inspiring staff. The doctor didn't introduce himself and, although he seemed like a nice guy, spent less than five minutes with each of us. The worst part of the day was trying to buy frames. Apparently there are very few pairs that fit the sale criteria. Talk about upsell! They get you in with the low price promise and then try to sell you things for way more. We were so frustrated trying to find frames, that we eventually just wanted to leave. We then had to wait another half hour to get someone to take our money for the "doctor's" appointment. The man who finally did help us told me off, because at that point I was really pissed off. He told me that this kind of wait and lack of service is completely justifiable and I had nothing to be mad about. What a jerk! The lesson here is, when you know a deal is too good to be true, trust your instinct. Save yourself the trauma and go to a real eyecare facility. read more

When I came in to get my eye exam, the girls who worked up front were friendly enough. When I was finished with my exam, one of the ladies was really friendly and being "buddy buddy" with my fiance and I. She was very helpful and made us feel like she really cared. After we spent over $400 on new glasses, we were instructed to fill out a survey online about her. I went home and gave her a positive review. I regret doing so now, as I picked up my new glasses about a week later, and upon arriving home I noticed that the right "arm" of one of my frames wiggled back and forth and felt loose. So I went back to Visionworks and before I could even say what my problem was, the woman working at the counter got very defensive. I was immediately interrupted by her and she took my glasses and said there was nothing wrong with them. I tried to explain my concerns several times and was interrupted each time with a condescending response of "they all do that because of the spring hinges" and "that is supposed to happen". I realize that spring hinges will move, but this particular arm wiggled side to side in a way that the other arm did not, and I expect a product I spend that much money on to have a little bit of customer service when there is an issue with them. The woman who was my "best friend" just a few days earlier didn't even acknowledge or speak to me. I guess since I wasn't there to spend money I wasn't worth her time anymore. I felt very disappointed with the behavior and disrespect of the women working the front counter. read more
