Let me explain that the J.Crew Factory Store, like the Banana Republic equivalent, has a great deal of clothing that were made for the factory store (rather than irregulars or overstocks). What this means is it might not be completely up to snuff with the clothing from the regular store. I've purchased a lot (A LOT) and I have found that it is good quality but can lack some of the extra detailing that I admire in much of J.Crew's goods. (e.g., a grosgrain ribbon trim here, silk piping there...) But I have gotten a lot of great clothing, so this is just a word of warning. Also, they have no shoes or handbags *dots tears away with printed silk-twill scarf* but their sale selection is always marked down even further from their already quite low prices.

I said this was not the response I expected and was told that I could "TRY" to contact customer service online but she didn't expect me to get a better result. She was correct. I was basically "hung up on" by the chat person. Eddie Bauer stands for immediate sales of inferior clothing with no support beyond collecting your money. I will not be shopping there ever again and will actively encourage anyone I meet to avoid them as well.

She recently bought a pair of jeans and wore them three times, washed them once, and realize that some of the holes In her pants had under materials which were shifting and it looked to be defective. She was concerned because she thought she had lost a pair of jeans and she would not be able to wear them again but when I went into the store the customer service was amazing! I was helped by somebody who apologized for the error in the jeans and offered to order them and have them sent to our house free of charge as they did not have her size in stock. I would totally shop here again I will continue to shop here and I would recommend it to anybody who likes a good pair of jeans for a good price and great customer service.
