We will never book a ride with Green and Orange Cab again! Booked rides for new years eve on Thursday, December 28th. Our cab was scheduled to pick us up at 7:45 pm on December 31st. At 8:08 I called and asked the man that answered where our cab was and he said he would check on it and call me back. At 8:45 pm we still had not heard from them and no one was answering the phones at this point. We had to scramble to find a ride to and from our party. Having my car impounded the other day afforded me the opportunity to check out cab service in Louisville. What I liked right away about Green and Orange is that, even on the Friday afternoon before the derby, they got a car to me within 15 minutes and texted me a confirmation from the driver's number. My first driver, Wesley, was great! He stopped off at the bank on the way to the impound lot so I could get cash for the sheriff to inspect my car and he knew exactly how to get to the lot. He drove safely and efficiently and made pleasant conversation about the city. He gave me his card and I wish I would have called him right back when I found out I had to go file paperwork before I could get my car, but I called the main number and got a terrible driver for the ride home. He tried taking me on a tour of the city instead of driving me directly home and went no faster than 20 MPH, trying to catch every red light. He then tried to charge me "derby rates" instead of what was on the meter and his attempt at making conversation was to tell me to smile more and that homosexual people were possessed by demons. I can't remember ever wanting to get out of a car more than during that ride. Wesley was a five star experience and Driver X was a one star experience, so Green and Orange gets three stars from me. read more

Dude picked me up in less than 10 minutes from downtown when I called. That's some dang good service. Dodgy driving... but that's part of the taxi ride experience. It's like video game driving. Got home safe and quick. Totally will call these guys again. Just remember your seatbelt and a quick prayer. read more

After paying with a credit card my driver asked if I wanted to add anything to the card I said no. Then he asked again and again I replied no. The driver gets out of the taxi and I leave a $5 bill on his bag in the front seat. While he is retrieving our bags from the trunk of the taxi he says to me "do you think we handle these bags for free?" To which I replied that tip is really an acronym that stands for to insure proper service. I also said that I left him $5 on his bag . To which he replied "how do I know that?!" And "You should have said something " he continued on to how I was wrong for what I did and "many hard lessons to learn" during which time my friend had also left him a $5dollar bill. Can't imagine a worse cab service. It is nearly impossible to understand their operators because of the foreign accent. They are blunt and rude. A competitor told me they are really only interested in doing medical runs, where they can charge more. read more

Excellent service! I called the night before to make a reservation for a very early pick-up to get to airport. Just as I was told would happen, I got a text 30 minutes prior to pick up with the phone # for my driver, and my driver arrived right on time (5 am) and was professional and courteous. My driver on Monday morning was on time and got me to the airport quickly, but his cab was the stinkiest vehicle I have ever ridden in. It reeked of cigarette smoke, and the smell lingered on my clothes for hours after. If you use them, I recommend requesting a non-smoking cab. read more

Made convenient online reservation, cab was on time and sent text updates. However, cab smelled like smoke and was dirty, and trunk was impossibly heavy to open. Driver took way longer route then was needed to get to airport and did not have a receipt for my cab fare. read more

He took my mom, my aunt, and myself down to an area of Louisville that was having a street festival, but he got us right to our desired location (by using back streets) even though the main streets were all closed. The first time I took Green & Orange cab it was great, but this last time was HORRIBLE. When I called I was told someone would be there in 10 minutes. 20 minutes later I called back to ask what was up & the dispatcher told me 'no on wants to take the run, call yellow' I offered a 10 dollar tip if someone would take me & she said she'd call me back. 15 minutes later someone finally shows up. He doesn't help with bags at all. He starts watching Netflix WHILE DRIVING. & he watches some filthy vulgar show KNOWING my kids are in the back seat. By far the WORST taxi experience of my life. He's lucky I never go back on my word & still gave him the tip I promised. I will NEVER rely on this company again!! read more

Can't decide who is worse...Green Cab or Yellow Cab. Request for a cab was verified then driver did not show up, causing me to miss doctor appointment. Spoke to a supervisor, "Wayne", who tried to resolve issue. Then received text verifications from two different drivers saying "I'm on my way" then still did not show up. I would definitely not count on Green Cab for anything important...well, for anything. I think the problem is drivers don't want fares unless big money is involved. If they don't want the job, they should say so instead of people waiting around expecting them. I think management needs to roll some taxi driver heads! read more

I scheduled a pick up the night before. I woke up and called to make sure the cab was coming. No one answered my first call and the company's voicemail was full. I talked to a dispatcher on my second call who proceeded to scold me for reasons that remain unclear. He also assured me the cab was on its way. Twenty minutes later, no cab arrived and no one was picking up the phone. Won't be going back. read more

And when I called to ask if they found it...I got this response..."ugh umm ugh fill out the form " and then he hung up on me. Also the cab ride home cost me double what it usually cost me. After ordering a cab online the night before and receiving email confirmation, I was shocked and totally dismayed to have my cab NOT SHOW UP for my early morning trip to Louisville International Airport on Feb. 7th. When I called to ask where they were, they were clueless. When I said I had email confirmation, they said, "Oh, we thought it was for the 9th". The email clearly shows the request was for the morning of the 7th. This failure required me to drive myself at the last minute, pay for a week of parking and then drive home the evening of Feb. 14th in a snowstorm after it had been snowing all day! I will never use them again and have told all of my family and friends about my horrible experience. They were also unresponsive to my complaints. Shame on them--very bad business! read more

I'd give zero stars if I could. Made a reservation hours prior and no cab at time requested. I called and the dispatcher was rude and said the cab was on its way. Phone number of driver was given to me, so I called the driver. The driver was also rude and said he was at least 20 minutes away and was just notified of the pick up. I just called yellow cab and they were there in 10 minutes with a polite, professional driver. If you are trying to be somewhere at a certain time, don't call or make a reservation with this company. George was great!!! He even made sure I made it to my door. However when I first called dispatch put wrong place in called back said be 30 to 45 mins till he could get me another cab. An hour later called try to get an idea how much longer. He kept hanging up on me after over 20 mins I had a different guy answer I explained I had been waiting for cab for over and hour and half he got me a cab there in no time had Southern accent great guy. Had to catch a flight out of town so this place was recommended to me by a friend to catch a ride to the airport . I called the day prior to set up the reservation for 5:30am the next morning . All set . Or so I thought . The next morning comes ... They call me at 5am to confirm the pick up - I confirm . 5:30 comes and goes ... Not taxi . So I call them at 5:35 to confirm that someone is en route . The driver says to me "I have to call and have someone else pick you up because I'm very far away" I'm confused as this point because he called me at 5am to confirm everything for 5:30. A mini argument ensues ... I call an Uber , they're at my door in 10 minutes . Problem solved . Don't use this place . Just call yourself an Uber. read more

Rude. I called the cab service, I was ready, and when they called my phone, I told them I was on my way down. I let him know it was going to be at a different building within the apartment complex that I would be emerging from, and just gave him the main office building to go to so that there would be no issues with finding the pick-up location. The cab driver argued with me stating that it was a different location as if I was at another store a few blocks away rather than at the apartment complex he went to when it was already stated that I would be coming from a different building, and then stated that I was "this close to being left." So I got out of the cab, told him "God bless him" since he wanted to be smart about it, and let him know I'll use another service. No other cab service complains about the customer taking a little bit to get out to the cab because it is on the customer's time, and I could have him drive me anywhere from 15 minutes away to an hour or 2 away, it's still on MY time, not his. He knew I was coming from another building, so I don't see what the complaint and rudeness was about, but he didn't get paid for that run. On another (previous) run, they lied and claimed that they'd called me to let me know that my cab made it to its locations, and when I told them that I didn't receive any phone calls on my phone, then claimed "well, we called," and they could have dialed and called any number just to say that there was no one who showed up for the cab service. Other than using the tarc, to which I have a free pass for thanks to being a UofL student, and having people rely on other public transits and modes of transportation, I really don't see how going against the customer and lying on them will help the service. Would I recommend? Only if you feel like arguing and want to spitefully piss off the cab driver to get even. read more

Wish I could give you all a good review, but I had money stolen from me by the driver. How? He asked me for my tip while entering my $13 fare. I thought he was nice and I liked the texts to say they were almost there, but then when I checked the receipt, he had enter another tip after I signed for $5 making his tip 100% the fare. He did this by yanking the phone from me after I signed my name on his card reader. Be aware of this scam and take cash if you take one of their taxi cabs. read more

Had an opportunity to use them on the 12th of May. Taxi was 25 minutes late arriving and cost a third more than uber. Don't believe what they say about them being cheaper. Driver did not apologize and all he did was complain about the traffic. read more

I scheduled a cab 6 hours ahead of the pickup time using the Taxi Caller app. About 15 minutes before the pickup time, I got a text saying that my driver was assigned and the number to contact them at. However, after 30 minutes, there was no cab and the driver never picked up at the number I was given, even after a dozen or so calls. After an hour of total waiting I had to reschedule my appointment. read more

Most incompetent car service ever! I called at 12 to a book a cab to the airport at 1:10. At 1:25 no cab so I attempted to call dispatch. My call was forwarded to voice mail. I was instructed to leave a message if it was an "emergency", however, the mail box was full. Call several more times before getting dispatch to answer- Dispatch (same woman I has booked with originally), eventually found my request and claimed a cab was less than 5 minutes away. 1:40, still no cab. I called dispatch again, this time was told cab was definitely really,really close and that she would send me the driver's number. A few minutes later she did text number, but before I could call him, the driver called me. He said he was "leaving right now" to come to my place but that traffic was "really bad". I asked where he was- he was 15 minute drive from house-- My flight was to leave at 2:50, it was now 2pm and he was 15 minutes away. At that point I gave up and drove my own car to the airport, arriving at 2:15. At this was only 35 minutes before flight time and I still needed to check a bag and clear security, I had to park in the garage and pay $14 per day for my 10 day trip. So, it cost me $120 (above the $20 that cab fare would have been), but at least I made my flight. Oh, at 2:20, the cab company called to tell me my taxi was waiting for me! read more
