We had a few appointments to maintain... Casey's intimate knowledge of all the distilleries allowed him to steer us in the right direction, as locations closed due to power failures and flooding and the sins of man. He picked us up from Louisville both days and took us to different areas based on the planned itinerary (one day east with stops to Woodford reserve and one day south with stops to maker's mark). The car was an SUV, clean and comfortable. Casey was a great driver. He was friendly, great conversation and had interesting tips and side detours to fill out gaps in the itinerary (ask for the sausage biscuit from the gas station for breakfast if it's on your way). They also work with you creating an itinerary during the planning stage. Would highly recommend anyone that wants to plan a custom distillery tour.

We enjoyed our time with our guide at the Frazier getting a brief knowledge overview of bourbon before our journey began. We started bright and early with a delicious tasting there! We then had a delicious lunch that was ready almost exactly when we arrived, which was great after already having a few tastes! I talked to the company owner who insisted the Impala was a 2020 and nice car, but I use airport service often and this was not an acceptable vehicle for this type of service- it did not have the feel of a high end, luxury vehicle inside, both in the quality of the interior nor the ride. Instead, it was a late model Grand Marquis with driver who faintly smelled of cigarettes. Nonetheless, he was punctual and polite. He also suggested the 'Fourth Street Live' event near my hotel which I appreciated. There was only one other passenger and she was going to the same hotel that I was. After arriving at the Galt House hotel, I learned that it uses the Sanddollar Limousine shuttle which is a little cheaper, more convenient (cause it's already at the hotel) and it's actually a shuttle van. But as I rode back to the airport alone, it was nice not having to make several stops to get to my destination. Overall it was a pretty good experience. Just don't expect a shuttle!

While we enjoyed all four tastes, we particularly loved one bourbon, which we then purchased directly from the barrels as part of a thieving experience. We even got to fill the bottle ourselves!
