Came to Fleiner Automotive for a body restoration on my 1971 BMW 2002. I was initially told 45-60…read moredays turn around, and the car had some major rust spots where they were going to have to cut out / weld in new body panels and smooth everything out. Over the course of 20 MONTHS, I called and left voicemails and emails no less than 100 times. I received a call back one time during this entire period... I understand that timelines get extended, but this was egregious. I only got them on the actual phone a handful of times during these back and forths. I ended up picking the car up incomplete (after 20 months!) with multiple paint imperfections and a clear spot of painted-over rust. Had the car been flawless after this period of time, I wouldn't be mad - but to take almost two years and not even have the paint finished is unacceptable. If you are not going through insurance, your car will be deprioritized. All of the welding / rust work was complete after only a few months of work, yet it took over a year longer of it sitting in their shop relatively untouched and endless calls to finally just pick it up unfinished with paint imperfections and trim still uninstalled.
