The response from the shop on my last review is disappointing because instead of taking responsibility for the quality of the work, they're trying to make it sound like the issue was the amount I paid. [[HIGHLIGHT]]At no point was I "thoroughly explained" that the service I was receiving would result in lower-quality work because of the price[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] (no I didn't refuse any first quote, I actually paid more than the original offer for oem paint) In fact, they were the ones encouraging me to move forward with the project while I already had other work being done on the car. They also claim they repaired dents and body damage at no cost. That's misleading. I specifically asked whether the dings around the vehicle would cost extra because I was willing to pay for them, and I was told they would take care of them. That was their decision, not something I requested for free. As for the warranty, I was originally told there was a 5-year warranty on the work. However, after bringing the car back shortly after pickup to address issues I wasn't satisfied with, I was later told the warranty was no longer valid. Now the response claims it was only a 2-year warranty, which is not what I was told. The problem has never been about money. The problem is the quality of the work and the lack of accountability afterward. If a shop offers a service and accepts a job, they should stand behind the results instead of later claiming the customer didn't pay enough. Looking through other reviews, it seems like any negative feedback is met with an explanation of why the customer is at fault. I understand wanting to defend your business, but accountability goes a lot further than shifting blame. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Written estimates, warranty terms, and expectations should be clearly documented to avoid situations like this in the future.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This review is not about me trying to get my way or get a free paint job, this review is to save someone the headache of getting a bad paint job. This family-owned business deserves the highest rating; their work on my vehicle exceeded expectations. My car required auto body repair after being hit while parked and I am fortunate the other driver accepted responsibility. This father and son team demonstrated exceptional skill and collaboration, resulting in a superb repair. I dropped off my vechile on a Thursday morning and picked it up Saturday morning. Buyer beware ! Buyer beware! Buyer beware!!!!!!This is the worst body shop I've been too, especially after taking my truck to professionals they told me this body shop stole my money. They only do good work for insurance claims, I took my truck here for a complete body restoration, after Luis the body shop owner gave me a price which was 3,200 l was okay with it. 2 weeks later I call to check in on my truck the body shop owner says that the estimate he gave me was wrong so he told me it was gonna go up to 4,450 because body was to damaged. In my head I was like damn he's the professional how can he give me a wrong estimate in person. Any ways I go on with it, 6 months later I get my truck from them and it's a complete mess!!!!!!! Paint dripping all Over the body! Some body damages can still be seen. My truck is a complete mess!!!!!! And I paid $4,450 my recommendation don't even dare !!!!! To take your care or truck to this place!!!!! With the amount of money I paid I was suppose to get a beautiful paint job all I got was trash! Now I have to go somewhere experience don't even dare going here. This is the worst place ever. My truck is already getting rust and the paint is already popping up from the body ! Luis Body Shop is my new go-to body shop. Chris was quick to respond and kept me in the loop of everything. Got hit by an unlicensed driver that was taking forever to respond to the insurance claim. I couldn't wait for the insurance company to figure stuff out so I paid out of pocket because I need my car for work. Chris told me it would take a week and they had it done is 6 days. They did a great job and were willing to still see me a few days after due to an electrical issue with my replaced headlight. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Bring your Teslas here! The rear passenger panel of my model Y was in really bad shape. After trying Tesla who could only get me in for an inspection in Santa Monica in late July, I tried at least half a dozen body shops. Many couldn't take an appointment for a week, and all of them quoted $8-10K++ and several weeks or months of repair time citing numerous parts replacements which are on long backorders. I'm so grateful I stumbled upon Luis Body Shop. Chris, the manager was super responsive, very professional and sympathetic. He was able to get me in first thing in the morning, and was waiting outside for us when we arrived. He quoted a fixed fee that was less than half of the other quotes we'd received, said it would not require new parts (just a repair), and said it'd be ready in 7-10 business days. He was prompt and polite in his communications, easy to get hold of. He kept me up to speed on progress and even finished the job early! We got the car back in 5 business days, earlier than planned. Chris stayed late (they close at 4pm) so that we could come by after work to pick it up - and it is absolutely pristine. See the before and after pics. I was overdue for some body work on my car (huge dent on the side of my car, including a hole that was made form a previous body repair "specialist") and I got some quotes from a few other shops. This was not only the most affordable quote I received but also the most friendly service. On top of everything, I was shocked at how quick they worked on my car (other places also gave me a longer time frame). This is a family business so I also was happy I could support a small family business. The shop manager Chris really takes the time to speak with you and is so helpful and friendly.
