Easy solid strong four or more. While the food was enjoyable enough there were several many eyebrow furrowing shortcomings with the waitress. So, they sort of have an eclectic "chef's menu", if you will, mixed with sushi and Asian bowls, a few Cajun offerings, expense account steakhouse steaks, and even a Mexican restaurant out back, Ella Cocina; all promising an elevated, higher experience by the look and feel of things. We really enjoyed the food. Sushi was very good. French dip with roasted parmesan cauliflower was very good. Same for the flounder fish and shrimp, somebody here can cook. Spoonful of slaw was delicious. So, no drafts (bottles only) and something or other about a machine mixes up their libations for them, so they couldn't make a Bloody Mary on the fly because it wasn't programmed into their menu. Whatever the case, we really enjoyed the food and ambiance.

We visited on Valentine's Day and had a fantastic experience! The service was wonderful, and the food was even better. Highly recommend the fried green tomatoes and the sirloin--both were excellent. Loved the charming decorations. We'll definitely be back!

Second time stopping in. Not a lot open on a Monday here. Even on a Tuesday not a lot of great food out this way. We stopped in for early supper/late lunch. Ordered the twin pork chops.. wow!! I asked for peach BBQ sauce on the side. The chops did NOT need any sauce. Just yummy as is! Same is true about the salad, btw. Ranch dressing was overkill for all the yummy veggies in there. Mashed potatoes were nice too. Kudos to the chef!! Still have Christmas decor up.. it's growing on me;) I never give 5 stars but it was deserved today!

This was our second time coming to this local establishment. First time was about 3 months after they opened. Was not impressed as many items on menu on Sunday at noon when they just opened weren't available (didn't have it). Chalked the visit up to new business and ordering issues. Fast forward to this past Monday for an early dinner.. walked in and one family was eating. There were 2 other tables that hadn't been bussed. No one at the front to welcome us either. After waiting a few minutes a young lady came out from the kitchen and apologized for our wait. We were then seated and the waitress informed us that she was the hostess, waitress and might have to be the cook at some point . (Not off to a great 2nd visit ) Waitress was very nice (not her fault of the work environment) . Our order was taken and food came out quickly. Food was tasty with the exception of my burger which in my opinion was wayyy too spicy/seasoned and smoked- but the menu said it was a smoked bacon jam burger. Nevertheless I ate it and moved on to dessert... went with a key lime dessert; other choices were banana pudding or Cheesecake Factory cheesecake which was odd. If I wanted a Cheesecake Factory Cheesecake I'd have driven there. I'm not sure if we're going g to give this place a 3rd try. Many people around rave about it but just haven't had that experience ourselves.

Well we came across this trstaurant by chance as the actually place we wanted to eat was closed on Sundays. So we were already close by so we took a chance and opted for the green barn. We were sat down right away and our waitress was very friendly. We ordered our food, and everything came out in an orderly fashion.just right, my salmon tasted awesome. Wife was not too impressed with her pork chop, but they did look amazing. Very casual atmosphere and could see it being a romantic setting.

Fish dips, okay. Low country boil was okay. With Cole Slaw. She enjoyed it very much. . On their Website they guarantee that you will not leave hungry. That was true. We had enough leftover food to bring home enough for another meal. For Desert we decided to share the Brownie Sunday. In many restaurants desserts are served up in skimpy portions, not at Treasure Camp. The portion was so large that we both ate plenty of it and brought home enough to finish off another meal. If you enjoy a rich decadent gooey brownie with a generous portion of vanilla bean ice cream, this will be the dessert for you. They also had Key Lime Pie, sizzling Apple Pie and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. Treasure Camp Restaurant is well off the beaten path, but the food makes the drive worthwhile. If you have a boat you can also arrive that way. There are some cabins, but we did not look at them . A boat ramp is adjacent to the Restaurant and Store. After your meal you can stroll along their dock. This Restaurant has a Chiefland address, but is well outside the town. We drive from Dunnellon about an hour away, we were told that they have frequent diners who come from Crystal River and Homosassa Springs which is even further. Most people would not make this trip unless the food made it all worthwhile. We would definitely make the drive back here again!

The salad bar has also changed up a bit but thankfully the excellent bean salad remains on it and the large cubes of cheese which are really a nice addition to any salad. The decor is nautical, the atmosphere country as is the music on the radio including often older country hits (think Dolly, Conway, Waylon, early Reba, even Lacy J. Dalton now and then). It's cozy, family-friendly, and you're likely to see people you know. The waitstaff is super-friendly too though promptness varies--normally good service, sometimes someone will disappear for lengths of time, though--I like to say when that happens they've gone over to the springs to catch more mullet. The real winners on the pretty long menu: fried shrimp, stuffed shrimp, really anything they do with shrimp. The fried mullet, too, which is local. The shrimp po'boy or fish sandwich. The salad bar which, as salad bars go, is very varied and good. Best sides: sweet tater fries, swamp cabbage when in season, fried okra. All in all, a solid place for a good dinner and certainly nice people working there day in and day out--which, by the way, they're open seven days a week which can be a rare find out here in the country.

I guess it began as a truck stop decades ago and then became solely a restaurant. Anyways, they have had a cosmetic refresh, painting the building, adding cute signage including some features explaining Bett's long history, and just made the dining rooms a down-home but clean and inviting place now. This goes a long way: I am all for hole-in-the-wall restaurants but you don't want a place to look dirty, either. Bett's no longer does. It looks comfortable and plain-spoken, honest, and home town now. The food has always been good. You get a menu dinner or daily special--things like chicken fried steak or liver and onions or fried mullet--and a choice of three sides. The sides range from mac-n-cheese and collards to normally a couple homemade desserts: the peach cobbler and strawberry cake both are not to be missed. Portions are generous. Their Friday and Saturday all-you-can-eat seafood dinner is also a real deal and good food. Red velvet cake, caramel cake, and lemon cake are hits too but less frequent in their menu appearances. Ford hook limas sometimes show up too, slowly cooked with bacon or ham and are awesome. The painting and general interior and exterior refresh really went a long ways with me to have greater confidence in Bett's. We knew it was a renovated truck stop so we weren't expecting much decor as we walked into the messy dining room. However, I was still looking forward to a yummy homestyle meal. My daughters ordered the chicken fingers and boneless wings, and both were barely lukewarm and lacking flavor and proper chicken texture somehow. My husband ordered the patty melt, which was literally just that...a hamburger patty and some cheese melted on top on white bread. However, the star of the show was my liver and onions, a classic from my childhood. It doesn't take much to impress me with this classic meal though, and it didn't overweigh the slow service and filth of the restaurant. All of our tummies were a little bit upset after leaving, so we won't be visiting again.
