While visiting my guy, we went to the Lighthouse Restaurant for a date night. The blue building opens up into a dark wood interior, complete with a bany grand piano, it feels like a nod to the 70's and 80's, which is what good kitsch is all about. Plenty of sailing decor and a LOT of lighthouse figurenes. Im gonna guess ther is close to 500 of them. They have an actual salad bar, a pre-covid nod, and it was a tasty one too. Its got at least 30 different items. The staff is warm and friendly and the food itself was tasty. Pretty decent value too!

They've redone the interior of the restaurant, and they've pretty much finished with all the renovations on the outside. I believe they've added more lighting to brighten up the restaurant as well. Our favorite server wanda it's awesome, this trip, though, we had another server as wanda, was out of town.Ina was our server this trip and was awesome.. Food was good as always, and we love the salad bar. Definitely worth the drive all the way from Gainesville

Some parking out front and plenty on the sides. This place is really big inside. We chose to eat at a booth and the lighting wasn't great, I had to have my wife move her head to see my menu. With that, while eating it was nice not having bright lights. We were waited on immediate and service was very good throughout. Most meals come with one trip to the salad bar and it was pretty good. My wife ordered the smallest meal and me the biggest, neither of us finished our meal. The food was very good and they didn't skimp. Prices were reasonable and I would definitely recommend this place.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Iconic Lighthouse Restaurant! The best place to stop on the Nature Coast for some awesome local wild caught seafood Piratey style! Arrr! haha. Just recently remodeled in the same Nautical Pirate theme, with the same great seafoods & giant salad bar! Yes! FABULOUS GIANT SALAD BAR! Arrr! :)... You can get just about any combination of seafoods fried, grilled, baked, sautéed you name it, they got it. They even have stuffed shrimp! They were out of the stuffed shrimp or I would have gotten some dang it! Next time! :)... Anyhoo, we were starving after checking the water levels next door at the springs. The water was still too high for swimming so we decided to have lunch instead. We were served fabulous beignets as soon as we were seated. Entrees come with a trip to the salad bar & that is what we came for! Arrr! Hubby got the Shrimp scampi & I got the "Lobster & Pomme Frits." The shrimp scampi was cooked perfectly & a large portion. It was 2 DIE 4! We ended up taking some home. We added parma cheese to it when we got home it was SUPERB! The shrimp were PHENOMENALLY FRESH :)... I was in the mood for a simple lobster tail & fries. Moi fave dish of all time is "Lobster & chips" AKA "Lobster & pomme frits." Here, they have a fabulous 8 ounce Lobster tail on the menu market price. Moi Lobster was cooked perfectly, hit the spot, with the most perfect pomme frits I have had in a long time. To the Chef: "Thank you so much for the perfect Lobster & fries. The Lobster doesn't need to be presented on the big green cabbage leaf, it's horribly outdated, 86 it. Also, shrimp scampi is completely fabulous. Superb, with some fresh parma cheese. Hope you can offer some parma cheese on the side in the future bc it's now our favorite dish. We can't wait to have it again." Congratulations on your new remodel. It looks absolutely amazing. We can't wait to see y'all again. Support Local small Business. Highest Recommendations.

Our service was great. I got the "Dingy". I didn't care for the fried oysters and crab claws but the fish and shrimp were delicious. Hubby got the quail and enjoyed it.

The chicken was disturbingly small Chicken- butchered thin( less than 1/2 breast portion) The chicken not breaded, breast filet sliced served on an oversized bun, which belittles the poor chicken. When complained another breast sandwich was sent right away, but was not cooked. How can you send out RAW chicken! Chef ramsey would be infuriated! also portioned smaller than bread and full of gristle. Un- edible. Made due with over-cooked first order to appease my appetite, and not to complain a thirtd time. but both a sad looking chicken choice for the $10.99 price tag. However, our Waitress tried to compensate for the cooks poor or lack of skill: by only charging the price of the french fries. For a day of just taking a drive and finding this restaurant on the water, he view was gorgeous on the suwanee. Lovely day, nice weather and many airboats and finshing along the banks, the food I would skip. (At least the chicken) however my friend who ordered the blackened fish sandwich also a small portion of fish, but was pleased with the flavor and cook. So it may be a hit or miss type of place. The one star review is on the chicken sandwich. I guess the saying goes don't order something land when at a seafood restaurant.

Had some light rain on the way to Suwannee only to discover their "covered" outdoor seating is no longer safe due to structure issues. The staff was kind enough to allow is to sit inside. As you sit in the Restaurant or in the outdoor seating area, you have a great view of the beautiful historic Suwannee River. The Service is quite good and friendly. I had a cup of the Crab Bisque before my meal arrived. The owner makes it fresh daily. The waitress said they often run out of it. I ordered the Palm Salad , unfortunately it was already gone. For my Neal I had the Fried Grouper with Fried Okra and a Sweet Potato. The food was served nice and hot , cooked to perfection and was delicious. My wife had the Fried Grouper Sandwich. With Cole Slaw. She enjoyed it very much. . On their Website they guarantee that you will not leave hungry. That was true. We had enough leftover food to bring home enough for another meal. For Desert we decided to share the Brownie Sunday. In many restaurants desserts are served up in skimpy portions, not at Treasure Camp. The portion was so large that we both ate plenty of it and brought home enough to finish off another meal. If you enjoy a rich decadent gooey brownie with a generous portion of vanilla bean ice cream, this will be the dessert for you. They also had Key Lime Pie, sizzling Apple Pie and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. Treasure Camp Restaurant is well off the beaten path, but the food makes the drive worthwhile. If you have a boat you can also arrive that way. There are some cabins, but we did not look at them . A boat ramp is adjacent to the Restaurant and Store. After your meal you can stroll along their dock. This Restaurant has a Chiefland address, but is well outside the town. We drive from Dunnellon about an hour away, we were told that they have frequent diners who come from Crystal River and Homosassa Springs which is even further. Most people would not make this trip unless the food made it all worthwhile. We would definitely make the drive back here again!

I guess it began as a truck stop decades ago and then became solely a restaurant. Anyways, they have had a cosmetic refresh, painting the building, adding cute signage including some features explaining Bett's long history, and just made the dining rooms a down-home but clean and inviting place now. This goes a long way: I am all for hole-in-the-wall restaurants but you don't want a place to look dirty, either. Bett's no longer does. It looks comfortable and plain-spoken, honest, and home town now. The food has always been good. You get a menu dinner or daily special--things like chicken fried steak or liver and onions or fried mullet--and a choice of three sides. The sides range from mac-n-cheese and collards to normally a couple homemade desserts: the peach cobbler and strawberry cake both are not to be missed. Portions are generous. Their Friday and Saturday all-you-can-eat seafood dinner is also a real deal and good food. Red velvet cake, caramel cake, and lemon cake are hits too but less frequent in their menu appearances. Ford hook limas sometimes show up too, slowly cooked with bacon or ham and are awesome. The painting and general interior and exterior refresh really went a long ways with me to have greater confidence in Bett's. It's now easily a place I rank with some of the region's best country/Southern cooking restaurants.

So, they sort of have an eclectic "chef's menu", if you will, mixed with sushi and Asian bowls, a few Cajun offerings, expense account steakhouse steaks, and even a Mexican restaurant out back, Ella Cocina; all promising an elevated, higher experience by the look and feel of things. We really enjoyed the food. Sushi was very good. French dip with roasted parmesan cauliflower was very good. Same for the flounder fish and shrimp, somebody here can cook. Spoonful of slaw was delicious. So, no drafts (bottles only) and something or other about a machine mixes up their libations for them, so they couldn't make a Bloody Mary on the fly because it wasn't programmed into their menu.
