Man. When I say this is the -go to- spot for lake city seafood.... I'm not kidding. They do shrimp and boil style plates, but lesser known is there made when ordered fried menu takeaway. I'm telling you, if you are looking for take out in lake city, this is the answer to your question. Nowhere else have I had such consistently excellent seafood west of my old home town St Augustine. The price is right the method is all wrong. Pre made up dinners with liquid butter is very unusual. I was thrown off that they microwave the crabs to heat them up. The only thing saving them is the taste and the price. Other than that, I have to have my crabs boiled. If you're not a cook, this doesn't matter, you'd eat them any kind of way! This was the only place for garlic seafood trays around here for a while so it's tolerable. All the seafood is pre-boxed in the refrigerated cases and they just drizzle their butter and seasoning over it and microwave it. Sometimes the butter doesn't even melt all the way. It's quite expensive for the quality. You can purchase just the butter though! Which is great for cooking your own seafood at home. The staff is nice and cleanliness is never an issue here. read more

This lil seafood shack right heeeeeere....puts Red Lobster to SHAME! After the cook gave me a tiny food sample...I was hooked! WHOOOO...GET IN MY BELLY (in my Austin Powers Fat Bastard voice!!! The Snow Crab combo was DELICIOUSLY SINFUL! When the cook drenched the combo meal with garlic butter and other seasonings...I swear I heard a crab holler out loud "GIMMIE MORE BABY"! When I got home, after getting high off the smell of the food in my car.....I went in HARD on that food, tore it up! Snow Crab combo includes: Whole snow crab, boiled huge shrimps, corn on cob, polish sausage link, boiled egg, and half of baked potatoe. I shall return to Zebo's for another foodgasm! Perfect hole in the wall seafood place. No seating so I ate in the car but completely worth it. At first I was skeptical, I went in for lunch and the shrimp was already cooked and portioned in the cooler "cold". I was looking for some hot boiled shrimp, which he said he would warm up. I ordered a box that he seasoned and tossed it in a microwave. I cringed. When I tasted them they were cooked to near perfection juicy and tender and seasoned nicely. I used up my one stop request for food on a long road trip today to venture from the interstate to zebo's Crab Shack. Based on the 4 out of 5 star yelp reviews my expectations were high. Unfortunately I can't review the food because there was no place to sit down and eat. but more importantly, although it looked appetizing, it was all stacked up in carry out boxes and the place smelled absolutely abominable. Fresh fish doesn't smell and even a fish market shouldn't smell like this. Maybe it's great food if you can get past the initial stench. read more

Really good seafood to go--they don't have seating inside despite the size of the building. The style of seafood--garlic crabs, snow crabs, shrimp and corn on the cob and taters--is akin to the style you often find in African-American neighborhoods in the South and reminds me of a place I really liked when I lived in Savannah, Georgia. The soul food tradition of seafood is often overlooked which is sad, because it's a very strong and interesting tradition with many contributions to American seafood and it lives on here and many places like this across the South. The staff is very friendly and pretty quick to get orders out, which is helped by the fact they have many apparently pre-cooked and can just warm them up on the spot for you or else you can take them home and warm them up yourself. Now, you're probably thinking that microwaving a cold seafood dinner simply won't do, but somehow it does: the shrimp come up out of the microwave just as tender as if they'd been freshly-cooked and they're not rubbery at all. The prices are a bit steep but it is seafood, and it is the real deal so I guess that's not to be unexpected. read more

I can only comment on the snow crab combo because that's all I ever get. ~$25 for a tray of 1/2 dozen shrimp, 2 crab clusters, potato, corn, egg, slathered in a spiced garlic sauce. One tray is almost enough for 2 people but I usually go ahead and get 2 trays for some leftovers. You can get it to go only, hot or cold. Sticker shock is an issue but for the quality and portion it really is worth it. Definitely messy...be prepared. 3 stars only because a little expensive, messy to go trays and sometimes too salty depending on who prepares the trays but it's honestly delicious seafood and nice portions. I see they offer a $5.99 lunch special but I never get there during lunch hours. read more
