Dining at Captain Crab - Always a Win! Every time I visit Captain Crab, it's a guaranteed great experience! The food is always fresh and delicious, from juicy crab legs to perfectly seasoned shrimp. Their captain seasons is perfect Not only is the seafood top-notch, but the place is super clean and the prices? Totally worth it! If you're looking for a spot with amazing food, a clean atmosphere, and great value, Captain Crab is where it's at!

Alright, I've now dined here three times and can upgrade my review to 5 stars. Hannah is an absolute star; she hustles with a smile - always. It was quite busy today - and it was "only" a Monday night and she appeared to be the only one taking orders. She was attentive and conscientious, back and forth, always polite and friendly and accurate in taking down orders. The kitchen was pretty quick to get our orders out. Tip: seeing the place start to fill as we were seated, we ordered our appetizer (sweet potato fries!) at the time Hannah took our drink order; everything came out perfectly timed. I like the ambiance here: it's all abt the crab/seafood boil. You walk in, and the paper covered tables and cheery booths and tables full of happy ppl enjoying a meal together and the delicious aroma that somehow avoids being fishy: what a great atmosphere. It's clean all around, tables are bused with a minimum of fuss; it's actually quite an elegant thing to pick up and lay out a new setting so quietly and neatly. As always the food is delicious. My friend got the #3 And me the Dungeness + shrimp; both of us enjoyed our meals and took our bags home, we were so full. Again, a terrific value for what we ordered. Robert at the counter helped bring the food out and processed my friend's gift certificate from December 2021 (don't worry: the gift certificates do not expire!) Hope you enjoy your visit too! PS came back to mention even the corn on the cob is so sweet; drenched in the sauce it is So Good!

Trash bucket... lol. We filled it up!

Do yourself a favor and get the low country boil. We are traveling and the hotel suggested this place. If they had not, I don't think I would have stopped. It's in a run-down strip mall, but went in anyway, and boy am I glad we did! Excellent service and the food was phenomenal!! Very fast service as well!!

#2 combo crawfish, snow crab, shrimp, corn & potatoes with Cajun garlic butter

The best kept secret of lake city!!! Seafood is super tasty, fresh & affordable! They def give you your money's worth & you will be stuffed! Me & the hubby went and shared a #2 combo (boiled crawfish, shrimp, & 1 snow crab legs cluster with corn and potatoes, we added extra corn with the Cajun & garlic butter seasoning) also had coconut shrimp appetizer. The food came out fast & was the best I've ever had aside from making myself. 10/10 would recommend. Fast & friendly. They also serve beer. Def will be back

Didn't really care for the gumbo but nice portion
    Edward G.

Service was very good but it was a week night . We had coconut shrimp for an appetizer arrived hot and nice portion but only one sauce "boom boom" available other than catsup tartar etc. We also tried the gumbo it was a large portion but we both felt it was bland and only had about half. The wife had the number one boiled combo it was very good nice portion and boiled perfectly. I had the low boil with the same result. Prices are fair and because of the amenities I would consider it kid and family friendly. We will be going back

I should have known when we sat down and Ray asked us what we wanted to drink, we told her and also asked for an order of Calamari while we waited for our family members- the look she gave us for ordering Calamari was a nasty one. But you know everyone of us can have a moment of RBF or a rough day, so let's move forward She comes and takes our family members drink orders when they arrive a few minutes later, but she wasn't happy about it and it shows.... Then we face our orders, tell her how we wanted the bill split (one side of the table on one bill the other side on the other bill) food comes out the clam chowder tasted good but looked like cake batter, the fish dip was 95% cream cheese, the Calamari tasted good but smelled odd. The best thing on my plate that I order (the shrimp platter broiled) was the corn on the cob! We searched for Ray for refills on our drinks but she only brought the table of 6 people - 2 people got refills Then she brought us the 2 bills - wait what in the world? She explained that she had cleaning in the back - wait what? I asked so do you all offer dessert? Oh yeah, we have 2 which one do you want? Well I didn't see a menu with them so what do you all have, we ordered the keylime pie - which tasted off like a medicine after taste We asked if she could clear the dishes please so we could have exchange Christmas gifts since our family had not been able to get together for the holidays- she literally cleared the middle of the tables plates and we had to pile the rest at the ends of the table So if Ray is your server I say Good Luck Maybe the food is better but we paid $110 for 3 people and I don't feel like we had a good experience with the food or service. Here's my opinion if you're having a rough night or you don't wanna be a server then don't wait on tables but if you're gonna wait on tables and you're going to service clients that are nice that are friendly that are laughing then please for the love of everything give them something in return give them a refill. We're not asking for anything for free. We're just literally asking for you to tend to the table that is in your custody. I did leave her a tip, but I do have to say it was really bad circus and I really hope that in the future, she will get better service to other patrons of the restaurant.

I requested eggs to be cooked over medium and they were absolutely perfect!!! I was thrilled because this is not a typically happens when I order this type of egg. That tater tots Tasted like they were cooked in fresh oil and the bacon was amazing. A friend ordered the same except with home fries and a hot cake. She was a little bummed at the home fries as they were just sliced & just not what she expected. Her eggs and bacon were also amazing and her hot cake was wonderful. Coffee was nice and strong with good flavor. I visited the restroom and although the building is obviously old it was very clean. Crystal was our server and she was warm and engaging. 10/10.
