Do not contact this company for AC tune-ups! This company was a disaster to work with. We contacted them to send out someone for an AC tune-up and they sent someone for air duct cleaning? The guy that showed up for the air duct cleaning service was just as confused as to why this was even scheduled in the first place. That should have been the first red flag but unfortunately, we reached out again to try to schedule the correct service (AC tune-up). The scheduler confirmed they would change what was on the scheduling request but once the confirmation email was sent, the air duct cleaning was STILL ON THERE!! We had to contact them for a third time to clarify that we ONLY need AC tune-up service. Finally, an HVAC tech came to the house and spent a few hours conducting an "AC tune-up" service. At the end of the service, he noted that we needed refrigerant and put new refrigerant in. In passing, he noted that the capacitor "might" need to be fixed but said that we are all set with only having refrigerant and left. Fast forward a week later and the entire AC unit breaks down. The temperature inside is hotter than it is outside, and the AC is not working. We contacted another company, as we couldn't trust "Green Clean NC" since they obviously didn't conduct an AC tune-up correctly, otherwise this would have been caught ahead of time instead of it breaking during the hottest week in April (90+ degree days). We had the new company's tech come out same day (which included a hefty emergency price) and he found very quickly that we needed a new compressor and a new capacitor. My question is, how did the Green Clean NC AC tech not find this issue? So, we contacted Green Clean NC and tried to speak with a manager. Instead, they made us talk to the tech that did the work in the first place and the conversation didn't go anywhere. The tech did not do his job correctly and we are requesting a full refund as now we are suffering with NO AC in 90-degree weather. Very disappointed. read more

I'm an operations manager for a property management company and this company was picked out by a home owner that we managed as they are "Family Owned". I called them to find out the details for duct cleaning and was quoted $549 with $50 off and that included ducts and dryer vent. I immediately emailed the owner with the details and she authorized the work for that estimate. Now, they claim they've sent an invoice FOUR times, (all we show is a W9) and the price is said to be over $800! That was not authorized. I keep very detailed notes and take my job seriously, but "Walter" the senior manager or owner, stated that basically they were a huge company and just didn't like working with property management companies, etc..for having to "track down payments". I explained the process and date of payment, when he took the job. He was eager at the time. He also stated that he loves the government jobs they get, because those are big payers. I recorded the call if needed, so don't try to argue you didn't say and act the way you just did. Oh, and when I was outraged at his behavior and mentioned that I might leave a review, he stopped and said, "Are you threatening me". Is that customer service? Never again. read more

I highly recommend this company! Michael is the nicest person and so easy to work with. They were prompt in their service, and I needed HELP! I just rented a townhouse, and the vents were awful, from whoever laid the flooring. The debris was disgusting all down every vent in the home. This company cleaned twelve vents. They found mold and treated that as well. I came home the next day from work, and the home smelled so refreshing! I have used green clean services for deep carpet cleaning and Deodarizing. They did very sloppy job. I have to redo the carpet cleaning with different carpet cleaning company and they did pretty good job. When I try to follow up the same with green clean manager and explain my concern, they were very arrogant and rude. Very bad Costumer service. Every time they say " we have all the info, we will get back to you" , but they will never. I asked the manager to share the email address so that I can share the pictures of work what green clean did verses another company. He gave non-existent email address. I never seen such a bad customer service like green clean. NEVER ever call for their services and don't recommend to anyone . read more

1000000/10 Experience My wife and I had no idea what we were dealing with, but we knew we were sick, our son had been to the ER for respiratory reasons, and we knew we kept finding mold on our things (shoes, clothing, etc.) and around our vents. Enter Green Clean NC (specifically Brett and Thomas). Brett was professional and straightforward on the phone and scheduled us as soon as he could - even going the extra mile to call us back to reschedule for even sooner after they had a cancellation. When they arrived, the two guys were incredibly knowledgeable and reassuring. When they found (a lot!) of mold in our vents, they were transparent but not alarmist. They thoroughly inspected our HVAC unit and ruled out an HVAC problem but were able to determine our house had high humidity. They gave us recommendations on how to mitigate the root issues and they answered every question we had, down to the smallest, most inconsequential. The guys were able to clean the ducts, remediate the mold in the ducts and install UV lights to kill future mold in our system all in the same day. They also cleaned out dryer vent, just because they wanted to, and used their tall ladder to help us close a window that we couldn't reach. I know I already said it, but really these guys go the extra mile, and they are who you want in your house if you have a mold issue. Finally, let's talk money. Y'all, it cost money to own a house, and I can tell you that paying awesome dudes to clean your home's air and make it safe for your baby is pretty much the best thing I've ever spent money on as a homeowner. TLDR; I don't hope you are having a mold issue, but if you are having a mold issue, I do hope you get the pleasure of working with this company. My service request initially was for the air duct cleaning. Green Clean did a terrific job and also recommended adding a home air purifier to our HVAC system. We decided to go ahead and add the home air purifier and we are pleased that we made the right decision, especially since we are experiencing a global pandemic. Since my husband had his heart transplant ten years ago we have used Sears to clean our vents. This year was the absolute worst and we will never use them again. I scheduled via phone with Walter and told him exactly what we needed because of the new HVAC unit. He sent Dan out to clean the vents. Dan decided the extra $399 I was paying for sanitizing only applied to the downstairs when I specifically told Dan to clean and sanitize upstairs. I had no idea he hadn't sanitized upstairs until debris started to come out of the vents upstairs. We called Walter and scheduled a re-do after explaining what was happening. Dan comes back alone unprepared to perform the re-do. Dan promises us that he will come back out and re-clean as well as sanitize both downstairs and upstairs. A week later from the initial cleaning and Dan is back and trying to charge us for the re-do. He did clean and sanitize upstairs and now refuses to do downstairs without us paying again. Dan now says he did not agree to the full re-do and Walter accused us of trying to get service for free. Not true. We just wanted them to do the work we asked for and paid for in the first request. I guess that I should have checked previous reviews about this company prior to using them, but I was directed to them through my Sear's dryer vent cleaning services that I have previously had, and been very satisfied. The technician with Green Clean NC who came out to clean the dryer never cleaned the inside of the dryer including the lint collector or the inside duct of the dryer which was compacted full of lint. I had to call the company back and ask him to return to clean the inside. He did not run the dryer prior to leaving, and he did not inform me when he was leaving. I have run the dryer three times since the dryer vent cleaning and it continues to sound as if debris is flying in the dryer. I called the company back and asked if this is of any concern. They offered me to schedule another dryer vent cleaning for $147.00 despite having this done 3 days ago! Then they recommended that I get a lint collector alarm through Amazon. Customer service was very disappointing. I also continued to get text notifications that they were coming to clean the dryer vent days after the appointment was already completed. So not happy. Saw a flyer for $99/3 rooms - plus "Free Hall". Made appt and quoted $114 for family room, office and bonus room. Tech came out and said family room was too big and would be considered 2 rooms. Ok fine. But he won't move the furniture. Coupon says $28 extra room up to 5 more and he quoted me $56 for the bonus room. Said need to pay extra $40 per room for protectant (esp since I have animals). So now my $114 + $120 = $234. Called the owner and he told me I should have told him exactly what I needed. How am I supposed to know since I am not the carpet expert and would have expected him to ask me questions when I called to schedule the appt. He said he needed to call Daddy to make a decision, on what I don't know b/c I didn't ask for anything free. Was just complaining on the bait and switch. Then he texted his tech and says "just do the cleaning, nothing extra". We told tech "no thanks, we don't want any services today". Feel bad for the tech that his company puts him in this position. Called carpetdrylean.com and they can come out tomorrow and EVERYTHING is included for $129 for same rooms. read more
