I had no idea! After replacing the burner unit twice and the belt on our dryer, It never occurred to me that it may be the vent system until a coworker heard my story. She asked me when was the last time I cleaned the dryer vent with in the house. What?!? John taught me what to look for going forward. He was able to clean my unit out which was pretty extended of 33 feet, due to the way the house was constructed. John said that we made the top 10 list of the amount of lint and dog hair that came out of our system, over a 5 gallon bucket!!!!!!!; which consisted of Over 21 years of not knowing, the longest we have ever stayed in one house, many dogs, two kids and an active family life. John was professional, and personable. He provided more education on how often to clean, signs to look for if cleaning is needed sooner. He was very comfortable working while I watched. I asked John to clean out my dryer vent, which he did from the inside of my condo. But I found that my dryer was still not drying my clothes very efficiently. So I asked him to come back a week later, and he cleaned out the built-up lint from the outside, which was magical to watch. This company ran a new dryer line from the back of my dryer to the outside. The old dryer line was clogged and was not up to building code. I am very pleased with the workmanship. He ran the new line through my laundry room ceiling into the attic and then outside. He offered options as to where the outside vent could be. Even if the price was the same as the other popular company, I still would have gone with this company as he seemed very knowledgeable and professional.
