He told me they were very experienced at this work and would like to meet with me to do an estimate. Asked if I would send him my detailed plans of the patio I wanted and pictures of the stamped concrete pattern I wanted to use. I did that around this same time, September 8th. Never heard back from him. I even sent him a message through Yelp to see why he hadn't responded. Still no reply to date. I've given up waiting and doubt I'll ever hear from this company.

Before signing the contract to work in our foundation, we asked if we need to do anything on our kitchen floor once the work is done. Ian Pernell confirmed that we will not have any problems with our floors once they finished the job. I paid over $20K and a few days after they worked in our crawlspace, we noticed the floor is noisy and squeaky when you walk over it. Not only that the soft spot is still there, it is much worse than my original complaint. I tired several times to contact Mr. Pernell, even visited JES office but now, he is just making a run around, not responding to my voicemail and text messages. JES or Groundworks, is very incompetent, they have no customer service, very unreliable and produces very unsatisfactory job. My big mistake was I gave them a 5-star review the moment they walked out the door. I should have waited a few days/weeks. I highly recommend that you do NOT USE the services of JES Foundation or Groundworks (same company) for any of your foundation issues. Be warned or you will highly regret it!

Lucas S. placed a bid on the job which was a flat fee; no hassles. I appreciated his pricing for the job as it was a fair price for the scope of the assignment. On the first day, Lucas S. arrived at the job site on time and ready to go. He skillfully removed all the old mortar from between the bricks and prepared the steps for the acceptance of the new mortar. The following day Lucas arrived to fill in the color matched new mortar surrounding the bricks. He took meticulous care to ensure that all the bricks were filled with new mortar and were aligned properly. The bricks and mortar were allowed to set for full day to ensure the structural integrity of the steps were properly secured. On the third day Lucas arrived to apply a chemical solution to remove any excess grout and dust film that had accumulated during the work. The steps were restored to look brand new. Lucas cleaned up the job site ensuring all the dust and debris was removed to my satisfaction.
