Josh Green and Green Frog Moving are a terrific team in my book! We had to have new carpet installed in a couple of bedrooms. I could not get anyone to move a monster adjustable bed base so that the carpet installer could lay the carpet! The flooring company recommended I contact Josh, and I am so glad they did. Green Frog Moving coordinated with the carpet company when the work was to be scheduled. They came, as promised, to break down the bed and move the base. After the installation, I called Josh to return to re-install the bed and base. Within a half hour, Josh and his team returned and completed the re-installation. I could not have been more pleased with Green Frog Moving. Personable. Professional. Polite. Extra careful with the furniture. Very reasonable. I highly recommend Josh and his team. Before I wrote this review I contacted the owner Josh to try and resolve the issues I had. Unfortunately he took no responsibility to my first email and actually did not respond to my follow up email. This is an excerpt of the email I sent him: I wanted to let you know how disappointed I am with your companies packing of my belongings and loading of the Uhaul truck. I was so surprised to find so many things damaged and broken. Examples: There was a box that was packed that had ALL of my UPS battery backup's (5 total), thrown in on top of those was my office desk light, a metal clock and some other smaller items. Nothing was wrapped. The clock and desk light had to be thrown away. NONE of my art was wrapped, most of it has some type of damage, which include scratches, scrapes, etc. Of the 3 living room glass table tops, 1 was damaged and 1 was completely broken and has to be replaced. The family room glass table top has a scratch so deep it can not be repaired and the corner is cracked. The twine that you had me purchase was not used. There were more than 5 bags of blankets that were not used. My leather couch has a tear in it. My crystal was packed in one box and some was broken as heavier items were put on more delicate items. Several boxes were not taped on the bottom, luckily we noticed prior to lifting as they were so heavy items were falling out. My master bedroom mattress has black marks across it and the carry handle was broken (this mattress is 1 year old) I paid you what you quoted, bought your crew lunch 2 days and tipped you all very well. The quote was based on 8 hours days, which you did not work. However, I did not complain about the payment at the time as I thought you were doing a good job. Obviously that was not the case. His response: I have been packing boxes, especially kitchens with breakables for 12 years. I wrap and protect them properly every time. Boxes of glasses and dishes do tend to get heavy and a few sometimes break. As far as the mattress handle, most of them break when they are picked up and moved. I used as many Moving pads that were needed to protect your furniture. I did ask you to buy some twine in case it was needed. The way the load stacked up, it wasn't needed. I have loaded and moved thousands of truck both in town and long distance. I don't ever have those issues with items being broken. My follow up email: Obviously you don't feel you should take responsibility for any of the damage. My Brother and Brother In Law drove the truck very cautiously, they were floored when they opened it and saw the damage. Please don't blame others. We used Green Frog to move us across town in October. We had just had our new staircase and floors installed. They used a dolly on my stairs and put chips in the risers and banister as well as denting my drywall. I contacted the owner who assured me that he would be out and would take care of the problem. He did come out but never returned to fix any of the problems. We were extremely disappointed and would recommend you use someone else as we are now out the cost of the move and the repairs read more

Has a potty mouth on him and he told me to "f*** off" over the phone when asked to pay his bill. Started realizing his other vendors were also not paid. His relatives keep apologizing for his behavior. Due to financial obligations does not appear to keep a staff of employees. read more

I had several quotes all about the same price so I went with the local guy instead of the franchise company. Quoted 8 hours to move my office with three movers. showed up with only two movers so 10 hours later we still had to do a second load. They had another move the next day so I had to wait until Friday from Wednesday to get the job done. Same two movers show up an hour late and takes them four more hours. So 8 hr. job becomes 14 hours and they damaged two desks and scratched a file cabinet terribly. Sloppy workmanship. I had to spend 3 hrs. on Saturday to reset the big desk as it was not assembled correctly or leveled. He lost the screws so used screws in his tool bag which were too long and went through the desk damaging the finish on the other side. The smaller desk left screws out and used a power drill to tighten the cams ripping them out of the desk. I had to repair that desk as well. They did take ten dollars an hour off the price for the missing man but then added a travel fee which was never discussed. Sorry I hired them. Loading of my POD crew was amazing. Unloading was different maybe I misunderstood. I labeled all boxes with room destination, that did not matter for ANY of them. Clothes were not hung on rod but on wire shelf, I guess it was easier. I had to rehang everything. The kicker was a heavy Gun Safe, I mapped where it was to be placed in the closet. Very clear instructions. My wife said he thought that a bit 'quirky" or "engineer like" ... well they placed it in the wrong spot now I can't move it or get the door open enough to remove a removable drawer. It opens against a wall. Unloading bill was higher than I was told, I was charged travel time equal to unloading time, I moved in the middle of the month on easy days for the mover to schedule. Usually light to no moving done on 20th or 8th ...You make the decision, thats how it went. I will certainly call someone else read more

After many scheduled, and then cancelled timeframes for Green Frog to help us move.. we were given another time, whereas we waited and waited. We finally got a call that they were running about an hour late. Thankful they called!! But then they never showed up; never called again, and never picked up the phone or called back when we left messages to return our call. I'm writing this review to let people know the very bad experience my family and I had with the owner of green frog moving, josh green. I made the huge mistake of hiring him to move our furniture last week. The job should have been an easy move for him to do as all he had to do was load furniture into his truck and drive 25 minutes and unload it. No packing at all was involved, just a few recliners a few beds, sofas and miscellaneous furniture. The first red flag was when josh called asking me what the gate code was when we don't have a gate. When he finally got to our home, only 1 and a half men showed up, josh and a helper that looked like he was in middle school, not 3 movers as agreed upon. josh had a terrible attitude. He cursed a lot, BS this, F*** that, etc. he said on the job, both inside our home and outside. He then decided to set up a portable stereo system in our front yard and play music very loud where the whole neighborhood could hear it, we had to tell him to turn it down, he responded by saying its "moving music"! Even though this loser had a mountain of moving blankets in his truck he didn't use 1 of them to protect our furniture! As a result, we now have several items of furniture damaged because of his incompetence! I asked him where is the third mover, he replied, "he quit" and he had the nerve to say "what does it matter"! Seeing how we were paying him for 3 movers, it damn well mattered! I also asked him why he didn't use any moving blankets/pads to protect our furniture, he said "I have to use those pads over and over on other jobs and I can't have fur all over them and use them in other people's houses. They may be allergic. As it is now, I'm still sweeping up hair in my truck". This idiot never told me that he wouldn't protect out furniture because we have a golden retriever. Infact, he said the opposite! We paid to have 3 movers and he shows up with 1 helper. We paid him to safely move or furniture and he didn't put anything at all on any of our furniture, resulting in several pieces of furniture being damaged! I read a lot of reviews about this guy before I hired him and they seemed good. Unfortunately, our experience was the worst moving experience ever and we've used many moving companies over the past 50 years. I strongly recommend that anyone considering hiring a moving company should stay clear from josh green of green frog moving. read more
