If you're not careful, they'll shortchange you by 8% to 20%--and when I called them out, they called the cops on me instead of fixing the problem. Here's the proof: March 17th - I brought in 50 aluminum cans and had them count them: Paid $2.50 (which is correct--$0.05 per can). March 20th - I brought in 50 identical cans but had them weigh them instead: Paid only $1.98 (they claimed the 50 cans weighed just 1.2 lbs.). March 21st - I brought in 50 identical cans again and had them weigh them again: Paid only $2.31 (this time, they claimed the same 50 cans weighed 1.4 lbs.). Same number of cans. Different weight readings. Different payouts. Their scale is a total scam--and that's not just my opinion, IT'S ILLEGAL. How They Scam You: If you COUNT your cans, you get the full 5 cents per can. If you choose to WEIGH them, they rig the scale to make it seem like your cans weigh less. The difference seems small, but it adds up to thousands stolen from customers every day. I Reported Them to: CalRecycle - complaints@calrecycle.ca.gov San Diego County Weights & Measures - (858) 694-2778 California Attorney General - (800) 952-5225 San Diego District Attorney - Consumer Protection Unit What Happened When I Called Them Out? I reported this issue to the Operations Manager, Roberto, expecting him to fix the scale or at least pay me what I was legally owed. Instead? He called the police on me for "trespassing"--just for asking questions! THIS IS FRAUD. Under California law (Public Resources Code § 14573.5), recycling centers must use state-mandated weight averages to determine fair payouts. Manipulating the weight is illegal (Business & Professions Code § 12024). DO NOT LET THEM STEAL FROM YOU! ALWAYS demand to be paid by count, not weight! Report them if you've been ripped off! The more complaints, the faster action will be taken. Warn others! This business is profiting off fraud--don't let them take your money too! (I've attached receipts proving my claims.) NEVER have I only got that. I usually have the same amount every time I go, because once my containers are full at home, I usually get between 65 and 80 78 dollars. I take them in. So I was going to ask if there was a drastic change in prices at window, but it was like the girl heard us talking about in on camera because as soon as I put ticket down, she grabbed it and said " I will be right back" we waited for about 3-5 minutes she finally comes back and says "sorry about the wait, but I saw you were not credited correctly, your new total is 74.56" I said oh good because I was going to ask why it was much lower than normal, but ho did that happen? She said " sometimes, they rush and punch in whatever." We left having even more questions. How or why are they " just able to punch in whatever they want?" Isn't it all computerized? Aren't they supposed to weigh our items and whatever the weight is, is what should be printed out? This has me concerned they are not weighing honestly? Is this suspicious?

Waste management on several occasions doesn't pick up my trash. Needed to get rid of a lot of clutter I had accumulated so I decided to rent a dumpster (like the…read moreones you see at apartment complexes). Quanita at EDCO was AMAZING. She answered all my questions (I said I needed to think about what was the best service/company to fit my needs), and kept me informed by email about booking, delivery and pick up. I rented it for a week for $310 but it was so hot that week I only worked in the morning going through boxes and throwing all the things I now didn't need, so I decided to rent for another week - it was only an extra $5/day! I ended up extending another 2 days (it was a holiday weekend) because there was still space in the dumpster to get rid of clutter in my attic and a broken chair! The dumpster has a plastic lid but I used 3 bicycle locks roped together to keep the lid secure in case someone else in my neighborhood decided to use it! I had it parked in my driveway which had a slight slope but the guy who deliver it found some cut off wood in my garage to secure it from rolling away and secured it by putting them under the four wheels at angles. My room is now clutter free and it was great dealing with EDCO and their staff! If you want to get rid of clutter I highly recommend hiring a dumpster from EDCO.
