Just realized this place is about a mile and a half from my house. Pretty straightforward. Lots of baskets available for plastic and cans. Not much of wait in line. If you go and use Waze, it will take you to the business before, so go another block past and you will find AIM. Definitely recommend! read more

Almost got cheated by Raphael the old man working there. I brought in 304 stainless and clean brass and he tried weighing all my metal as stainless even after i told him some was brass and specially separated it in a different bin and he checked it out before weighing it. They labeled some of my brass that was clean as "dirty" for a trivial reason to. Seems very scammy here, pay close attention to these guys when they are weighing your metals or they will rip you off. They also pay at the lower end for metals. Unless you are desperate or a local crack head id look somewhere else for metal recycling. read more

Going there with CRV plastic and a few aluminum cans was a complete waste of time. No signage/directions/instructions posted. Where do you go once you're through the gate? Another customer was waiting outside what he said was the office. He pointed to some chick about a block further back in the yard that was talking to someone in a vehicle. He said you have to check in with her, then wait, and be prepared to wait a long time. I'll take my business elsewhere, to some place that looks like they actually want to do business. read more

This is the best place to take your metal cans, plastic bottles and other metal. So much better than the recycling center on Industry street. Lots of parking, no bees like the other place and not so many guys on bikes, clogging the lanes. The guys who help you load on to the scale are great and the women behind the cashier window are very nice to work with. A clean operation! read more

This place sucks.. I arrived @ 11:42 am on a Saturday & The gate was closed. Waited for an employee to open it up to let other cars come out. Asked him if I could come in, that I had 5 bags of aluminum cans. He says there closed. I look @ my watch & it just turned 11:46am. I tell him I thought you were open till 12 on Saturday. He says they are but they close the gate 15 minutes early and now it's 11: 46 so I can't come in. Asked him to ask his manager. Asshole said no.. Screw this place. I could of been out of their in less than 5 minutes.. Won't be coming back to this dump.. Shitty customer service. Closes the gates early.. read more

I came here because one of my buddies said to check it out so I came to recycle some brass ammo shells. If you don't know the area you will get lost so know where you're going. This place is massive about 3 acres or so. The girl at the desk said I could recycle my shells then the guys says no I can't. I don't collect nearly as much as majority of the people who come here to recycle, but with the little amount of what I do, I'm always amazed of how much I get back! Place is clean and straight forward. Separate your collections I'm the baskets and fall in line. If you find a coupon on their website or in one of the booklets you get in the mail, you'll get paid a bit more than what they offer. Definitely going here with all my recycles. read more

Plastic water bottles, aluminum beer bottles/cans, glass jars, tin cans, wine bottles, alcohol bottles plastic/glass and so much more can be recycled here. Years ago I saw their flags and advertisement on Benet Road and the 76 highway. I'm overjoyed that I checked out Ecology Recycling. They open early which is really convenient. Normally no lines but they are quick. Very clean grounds but I would wear closed-toe shoes to be safe. You drive through the metal gate and park in front of the mobile office building and the scales. Very tall mesh-clothed bins for your larger bulk items or larger in quantity; we typically have 3 trash bags of crushed water bottles that can fill it up. Small and medium plastic bins are available if you have a few items. You'll want to separate your plastics, tin, aluminum, and glass as much as you can. A male employee will come out and sort it some more, if needed. He'll start weighing the different types of recycling you have brought. Once he is done, you'll go straight to the window and provide your name and possibly a form of ID. They'll have you sign the electronic signature pad, which doesn't show it on your side but it will be on their computer screen. Cash will be paid for a receipt of less than $100. Checks are issued for anything over $100. Everyone is nice, professional, and efficient which makes you want to come back. read more

This is a fun, clean exciting recycling place. While some would say what is exciting about it, well, if one was into heavy machines would be happy to see the beast work, pushing, scraping, picking up mounds of debris like a leaf in a wind storm. Easy in and out, they keep it clean enough not to puncture a tire. The attendant, I think her name is Luceros, very nice, friendly lady. My recycling pile was growing because I dreaded going to the old recycling place I have been using on San Luis Rey Rd. This place is a lot cleaner and it's outside, so it doesn't smell as bad, and my shoes didn't stick to the ground, and the employees were clean and friendly. I also came out with more cash than I expected and it didn't seem like I had more recycling than usual, so now I'm wondering if the other place was pocketing five bucks off me each visit??? Good visit, I dropped off some scrap metal for Recycling. I had no problem's the guys were friendly and courteous. I will bring all my scrap metal here from now on. It's hard to find a recycling center that takes scrap metal here in North county. Thank you Ecology for keeping the landfills empty of scrap metal.
