They showed up unprepared, they slowly carried small loads, and then they said the time was much longer than expected which would jack up the price. They also justified the cost because they said my stuff took up more space than anticipated. They said 1.25 trucks. But the first truck was at least 1/4 full on arrival. I could see into the top of their truck from my window, so I saw the items that weren't mine in the front of the truck that I was paying for. I also saw how loosely they packed everything - without stacking or layering items. My volume was at most 1/2 to 3/4 of a truckload. (And that's being generous) It really struck me how fleeced I was when my sibling just moved. He had a much larger apartment, and his professional movers loaded an entire furnished apartment into their moving truck, drove 100 miles, and then fully unloaded to the new apartment for $3600.
