Kevin was very accommodating when helping me assess my needs even as I kept waffling between dumpster sizes. Over the course of a week before the dumpster was delivered, the piles of junk at a house clean out changed dramatically as some items were given away on Nextdoor and as I kept finding more and more junk to get rid of along with the last minute decision to tear down an old falling apart shed. (You would think the shed would have been first on the "chuck it" list, right? But you get acclimated to seeing things in the landscape of your home that you don't even realize how inconvenient and inefficient those things are.) Stopped at 4pm. Filled truck. Couldn't return for 1 week. 2nd visit: Worked 1:30pm - 4:30pm. 2nd truck. Didn't finish again. Said couldn't return for 3 weeks!! Ok start with the good. Very responsive. I called to order a pick up and gave a phone estimate of what needed to be picked up. They show up within a four hour window. Very friend guys. The drawback and reason for the lower rating. They claimed I had half a load worth of stuff 7 cubic yards. But it was a guess. No real before or after measurement so there was no real way to tell or dispute. The truck was not empty when they started. I paid which was simple enough, but I felt they were getting over on me. I've rented dumpsters plenty of times but I needed a service this time. It was more expensive but easier. If money is no object definitely used these guys. There are serious issues with this company. I did 4 debris boxes with them, and with every single box, there was some kind of problem. They didn't drop off when they said they would. They didn't pick up when we scheduled together. They dropped the wrong box. They don't have a license to put boxes in the street in San Francisco, and they didn't seem to know they needed one: they got a $1200 ticket which they tried -- illegally, according to the city -- to dump on me. They sent heavy boxes (for concrete, brick, and earth), but then each time claimed it wasn't a heavy box, so hit me with hundreds of dollars in overweight charges. The drivers are nice, and Kevin in dispatch is pleasant, that gets them 2 stars. But the company is incompetent and borderline dishonest. Keep looking. read more

I just had a wonderful experience and had to type out a review right away. When I called them I tried to describe to the best of my ability the kind of work that they were in for. I had about 8 large Home Depot bags filled to the brim with dirt, rocks, and other garbage I found in my planter (put their by a previous owner). We agreed on an estimated price and a 2 hour window of when I would be expecting them. Admittedly there was a small hiccup in that an employee became ill, making them short handed, but they managed to keep very close to the 2 hour window. Greg was the employee who had come to pick up the dirt. Prior to him coming, he had called to confirm what he would be dealing with. I thought that I made things convenient for him by having the dirt all ready in bags and that all he had to do was just roll them into the truck. What I didn't know until he pulled up was that the bags that I had the dirt in were not meant to actually hold dirt. I half excepted Greg to want to reschedule for another time, because he would have to do a ton of work to get all the bags into his truck or charge me more for the inconvenience. But he set right to work doing what needed to be done and even cleaned up some of the dirt that I had spilled when I filled the bags. On top of that, he agree to the price that I was quoted. I really appreciate Greg for what he did and now my area looks great. I highly recommend this place. read more

They were true to their word, showed up on time, called me with an exact quote before they started, called again to let me know that they isolated a box of paint cans that needed to be recycyled. Today was my second time calling Green Hauling. I love this company. They're prompt and speedy as hell. Greg came by to haul out our stuff both times. I just finished building my house, and after four years there was a lot of construction debris, mainly wood. Kevin at GH arranged for Josh and Jeffrey to come out and load it up in their 20 yd. debris box, and take it to the recycling center in San Rafael. It all took about 2.5 hrs., but there was so much to be hauled away, I had them come out the next day and take another 10 yds. to finish the job. They were on time, and worked hard, and separated out some odds and ends I wanted to save. The price was reasonable, and it was almost the same as renting a debris box and loading it up myself. I would definitely use these guys again. They were professional, responsive, and really pleasant to work with. Joshua and Kevin loaded an entire 20 yd container quickly and with good humor. I majorly underestimated the volume of stuff we had, but they weren't fazed by it and even kept updating me on pricing as the box got fuller.
