The dental assistant is great as well, she always ask what issues or concerns you may have before starting any procedures and, tells the dentist for his own knowledge. I was scared to have my teeth worked on due to sensitivity plus, prior experiences at other dentist offices. The dentist here made sure I was fully numb and, while he is working he lets you know exactly what he is doing. He's really good and pretty quick at getting your teeth or tooth taken care of. But I checked with the insurance on what kind of…read morecoverage I would have for a comprehensive evaluation and if they used code D9310 for billing my insurance would cover 80% of the $250 charge. I called 2 times and informed billing about the code and when I went to my appointment I made it clear I didn't want to have the evaluation if they used another code. I was told on the phone and at the appointment they would use that specific code. When I want to pay the bill at checkout they told me total bill is $445. I had to pay out of pocket and they would send to my insurance company. The other charge was for Radiographic imaging. I thought everything was part of the evaluation but I paid it thinking the insurance company would pay 80%. They did not use the code number I gave them for billing and out of $445 charge the insurance company only paid $66. When I called billing about this matter they said they don't use that billing code I questioned why 3 times they told me they do and gave them the code each time. This was a problem for me due to being out of work from surgery and didn't have a lot of money to spend for a consultation. I feel I was lied to and not properly informed about the additional charges for the Radiographic. Needless to say I will not go back for the second consultation to discuss what dental procedures they recommend.

It felt like a complete waste of time and money, especially since he would not break down the invoice for me. Quite suspicious. I would never recommend him.

Jenna arrived late, rushed through my chart, ignored my history, and was rude and dismissive from the start. She forced multiple X-rays with no explanation, creating an unsafe and uncomfortable environment. Dr. Angela Walters-Hagen was equally cold, sarcastic, and condescending, even laughing when I said I wanted to leave. Furthermore, they lied to the office manager about their actions. No patient should ever be dismissed, humiliated, or disrespected for advocating for themselves or their medical history. A positive takeaway is the administrative team--Joy at the front desk and office manager, Keisha -- who went above and beyond to apologize and treat me with genuine kindness and respect, which the medical staff lacked. When Dale's son Jeff joined the practice, I continued with Grove but Jeff sold the practice & the current owner/mgmt co, Premier Care Dental, a NY mgmt co. has instituted a menu of Pricing that is twice to 4 times the cost of Berks County Dentists. ( I did my own mkt survey for implant cost on 5 local top 10 Berks county dentists) & Found a $2,000 to $4,000 higher cost for an implant. Premier states on their web site mission statement 'affordable', however that's NY & NJ high end pricing & not secondary markets. I explained this to the Asst. Mgr at Grove & the result of her inquiry was 'NY was not adjusting their menu of pricing for Berks County'. I was not going to pay double for an implant when locally I could get the same service for substantially less. In addition Grove now charges for work performed that day before any insurance coverage is researched. ( an estimate is calculated however mine was $1000 under estimated) so I paid the higher amount. Also, Grove now charges a 3% credit card fee, for medical work with their 'double cost fees. The work performed by Dr. Weber was excellent, however, he had little discretion on the fees directed by NY Head Office. I have found a local dentist to complete my implant at almost Half the Cost quoted by Grove Dental so I'm NOT continuing with Grove Dental after 40+ years there. Dale & Jeff would be Mortified that the 'successful business' they nurtured for years has become 'Corporate Larceny' in Berks County. My Money will Stay Local where we 'as customers' are treated Fairly.

As soon as I walked in, I noticed the cleanliness of the waiting room. The receptionist greeted me and had me fill out new patient forms. Shortly after, I was taken to the back by one of their hygienist who was very friendly. She explained procedures and after I had an extensive exam and photos. Before, ending the exam the Doctor came in to speak with me, she was also very friendly. A few days later I went back for a cleaning. I am so bad with names but the girl that cleaned my teeth was really nice. I felt very comfortable with her and she did a great cleaning job. This was definitely one of my better experiences at a dental office! I highly recommend this dental office.
