It's a small B&B, perfect for relaxing. It was just what I was looking for that trip. This trip, I will be bringing my boyfriend, and I love that it's located reasonable close to downtown and other PS entertainment. Travis is a welcoming and engaging host. He's knowledgeable about the area and goings-on, and enjoyable company, if you happen to be hanging around the B&B, for a lazy afternoon. He's also an excellent cook, and breakfast was delicious! I had one of the smaller rooms, and it was very adequate, and the bed, very comfortable. It was a shared bath, and everything is very clean and well maintained, in both the private and common areas. Though I didn't swim in the pool, I had the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful and relaxing Hot tub. I'm excited about my next stay, at Casa Cerritos!

I knew my gate code and room number prior to arrival. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very professional, enthusiastic and personable receptionist Linda. We were walked through the resort with amenities pointed out. Pool, Hot Tub, shared kitchen and made aware of continental breakfast. Then walked to our room as well as entering together, service above and beyond. Being adults only allows pool and hot tub to be enjoyed 24/7. The room was spotless and we even had complementary beverages and snacks. The grounds were well maintained with plenty of seating as well as Giant Umbrellas able to provide shade over the pool and hot tub if desired. Hotel California is a hidden gem. We loved our experience and I'm sure we will return.

Hotel California was one of three choices and after looking at all three, Hotel California was the top choice of the three adult only boutique hotels. If you're looking for modern, look elsewhere. The hotel was built in the 40s, started as a brick built in with only four rooms. Through Booking.com I booked a King Poolside room with sliding door. The room included snacks as well as the in room coffee and other standard amenities. There was also soft drinks in the mini fridge but unsure if these were considered chargeable if they were consumed. They were left untouched in the mini fridge. Do your research Yelpers! Hotel California's website said that Continental breakfast was included. However, Booking.com was showing otherwise, additional charge to add breakfast. Wow, just wow. Be smart consumers and know what's included. Do not be fooled. This place offered complimentary early check in at 3pm. There's no private parking lot but first come first served reserved spaces in front and the side of the property. We were worried about not getting a space after returning from dinner but we're lucky to nab one of two spots remaining. The cellular signal wasn't great and I resisted using the hotel's free wifi. I try to avoid using free wifi anywhere. There's complimentary Continental breakfast from 7 - 10 am. The breakfast is cleared by 10 am sharp. The refrigerated goods are locked up in a mini countertop fridge with the packaged two pack of hard boiled eggs, yogurts, organic milk, fruit juices. Other packaged snacks included Otis Spunkmeyer muffins, granola bars, nuts, breakfast cereals, oatmeal, fruits, coffees, and teas. There's also free popcorn from the poolside popcorn cart. There's a heated pool and Jacuzzi, open 24 hours with towels, pool floats, sunscreens and lotions. Be mindful of other guests and keep the noise down late at night. We didn't encounter anyone else at the pool after 10 pm when we returned from dinner. There were also free beach cruiser usage with waiver agreement. The bikes have mounted baskets up front for storage of miscellaneous items. Also, check seat heights as they aren't quick change adjustable. Linda and Ann were so friendly and helpful. These two managers were great during our stay. There were a few annoyances but not deal breakers that caught my eye... FYI, the slider door lock was very frustrating! Very difficult to open with a physical key ($150 lost key fee mind you! DON'T LOSE THE KEY!!!). The lock need to be serviced and maintained. It was loose and I had so much trouble unlocking this door. I reported it to the manager who also confirmed this problem. The TV-SAT TV is terrible! This small flat screen is outdated. Other hotels have large flat screens on a console. Here it's mounted to the wall near the slider. I had to use two remote controls to watch TV. Silly, just silly. #YMMV
