Sharon is an awesome massage therapist. I'm a massage junkie. I'd rather go without almost anything in order to get massages. I've had them all...the good, the bad...and the very, very ugly... Some of the therapists I've had have really tried but I could tell they were just not experienced enough to be really good. Massage is like anything else, practice makes perfect. Sharon is so good and she's a strong gal. She hit all my trouble spots and also did some cupping. I really did not want this massage to end and I wished it had gone on for another hour. I am first and foremost a skeptical person and I have to see things for myself to believe them. That being said, I also keep an open mind about things and am willing to try new things. I am in love with acupuncture. My grandma read an article in the paper about Chris and how he specializes in acupuncture for pain. I've had some terrible hand/arm pain from tendonitis and nerve compression (because of work and school) and she suggested I go to him. It should be noted that I've been receiving care from a worker's comp doctor for this, and I was given a cortisone shot, a round of prednisone, and was taking 800 mg of Ibuprofen 2-3 times a day to deal with the pain. The cortisone helped, but everything else was basically useless. So, back to Chris. He's a very nice guy and not what I was expecting at all. He makes you feel really relaxed about the whole experience, talks you through all your pain and finds points quickly... But he also talks to you about your day (maybe to get your mind off the needles, which aren't bad at all!). I have felt nothing but relief since I started going to him 3 weeks ago (it's like physical therapy in that it requires multiple visits, but each one is better than the last). My hand/arm is finally healing at a decent pace where it had stood still before. To be in pain in one area of the body, then feel a pin prick in another, and then the pain disappears... it's like magic. I never would have believed it if I didn't experience it myself! If you're new to acupuncture and have some serious pain, try Chris out! I seriously tell everybody who will listen about him. He's fantastic. read more

I was completely unfamiliar with Chinese medicine and acupuncture when I purchased an Amazon Local Deal and came to Green Jade. My insurance didn't cover the treatment, so appreciated that they worked with me on payment options since it's all out of pocket for me (and I haven't hit the lottery...yet). Chris immediately put me at ease and took his time during my first session to explain what to expect. After about 6 sessions, I've seen significant improvement in insomnia (a lifelong struggle with staying asleep which western medicine provided no help...results of my sleep study said "Patient has difficulty sleeping." Great, thanks...like I didn't know that!). He has also helped me to find relief from the pain of arthritis in my feet when my M.D.'s only solution was ongoing ibuprofen or Aleve. It's almost a miracle (don't ask me how it works...it's like the microwave...I don't know how it makes my food hot, it just does and that's good enough for me!). For one week of my treatment, he prescribed herbs. Again, I didn't know what to expect (this is all new to me!). It was like a slightly unpleasant tea - but it really moved my treatment along and helped my progress. Well worth it! The most common question I've been asked is whether it hurts. My answer is a resounding 'no'. An occasional needle feels like a little electric shock or may feel a bit tender, but they quickly settle in and you don't even know they are there. I was surprised to experience how relaxing the treatment is - I feel very relaxed when I'm leaving the office - similar to that foggy feeling I get after a really good massage. I purchased my deal a long time ago on "G" and finally got around to using it. It was a little trying to get an appointment because everyone was scrambling to get in before their deadline. What was truly surprising is the owner's willingness to honor the full value of the deal. Before I even describe it, I should mention that if I fall asleep, it means the massage is going very well. I got acupuncture done a few weeks ago here- 3 sessions. I went in with head pain and shoulder pain. I'm pretty sure the needles damaged my nervous system. My head pain got worst- it gave me a head tremors, & started getting tremors all over my body- still have them, body pains!! I have not been able to sleep. This acupuncture ruined my life. I called and told Dr. Chris my symptoms and recommended I see a neurologist. I wish I would have avoided this place from the get go. I never felt any relief after my sessions. WOW. I am a total believer in acupuncture now. I came in feeling curious about what could be done about residual effects of Bell's Palsy that I had more than 10 years ago. (For those who don't know what Bell's Palsy is, you should Google it. It causes half your face to droop and you lose control of facial muscles on that side.) I had read an article about Angelina Jolie and her experience with Bell's. She attributed her full recovery to acupuncture. So, I found a Groupon online and figured at that price, I didn't have anything to lose. Well, it just so happens, the day I came in for my appointment, I had the worst menstrual cramps, like the kind that radiate to your lower back and make you want to curl up in a ball and stay in bed all day (sorry guys, but you ladies know what I'm talking about). So Chris did what he does best; he stuck some needles in key points and boom!- IMMEDIATE RELIEF from the cramps and back pain! Now, if you have never tried acupuncture, I'm not gonna lie to you; it isn't painless. However, if you are experiencing severe pain, the pain from the needles is minor compared to that. Totally worth it if you ask me. I'll have to see if my cycle is less intense from the regular sessions next month. As for the Bell's Palsy, what was left over from 10 years ago was just slightly noticeable, but I had some asymmetry that I noticed when I raised my eyebrows or smiled. I've only done a couple of sessions, and I extremely happy with the results I am seeing. My face is becoming more symmetrical and I'm gaining control over my facial muscles on the side that was affected. I only wish I had discovered acupuncture 10 years ago because I think I would have recovered in a matter of sessions and not months. From my experience, I would recommend acupuncture to anyone considering it, and specifically going to someone highly skilled and knowledgeable as Chris at Green Jade Acupuncture. read more

I have an autoimmune condition which I have managed for years with diet and supplements. First time visiting this facility and I am very pleased. I walked in to make my appointment for another day but Chris was able to fit me in right then. Not normal, but I was lucky. I was very skeptical that acupuncture would work for my sciatic nerve pain as pills and 2 different shots didn't help with the pain and discomfort that I had been enduring for MONTHS..!!! I could not stand let alone walk for long periods of time and I felt numbness and tingling down my left leg for a long time. I would also at times feel tightness down my thigh. I went to see Chris for 6 sessions and I noticed a huge difference on my pain, discomfort, numbness & tingling soon after my 3rd session. My numbness and tingling was completely gone and was only left with tightness down my thigh and under my buttocks that was a bit uncomfortable when I walked. But I noticed the tightness gradually going away little by little after my 4th, 5th, and 6th session.
