First I want to thank you for NOT PUTTING MY COFFEE IN THE SAME BAG AS MY FOOD (why doesn't everyone wrap it separately) because it always leaks when it's in same bag. The cappuccino was absolutely perfect and with a whisper of cinnamon on top (something you never get with delivery of that drink). I ordered the grilled chicken panini with mozzarella and pesto and lettuce (no tomatoes for me). Other than needing a little salt the chicken was tender and juicy and the pesto was perfectly made. One of my favorite go-to places in the neighborhood. Food: I have tried a couple of their soups and all of them have been delicious! For $4, you get a nice portion of their soup of the day plus a piece of bread for dipping. Past favorites include: lentil, vegetable soup, and broccoli cream. I've also tried their sandwiches and wraps, which you can customize as you please. Smoothies and Juices: Great variety, fresh ingredients, and the ability to customize them with whatever your heart desires. I really like the banana chocolate with himalayan salt as well as their "almond joy," which is made with almonds, dates, and agave syrup. Bowls: I love their acai and pitaya bowls! If you've never had one, they're basically healthy smoothie bowls topped with fruits. For $8, you get a bowl plus up to four toppings. I tend to get the pitaya bowl with mango, strawberries, granola, and bananas. So yummy! Staff: Both of the ladies who work at Green Leafs are lovely and super nice. :) Bonus: They have a loyalty card via an app called Perka, where if you drink 10 smoothies, you get one free. You need to know about this new gem! Green Leafs is tucked into a little corner on 49th St, right near 43rd Ave. I'm so glad we spotted the bright orange sign. It's a tiny little shop, but don't be deceived. They have a vast offering of juices, smoothies, wraps, paninis, and espresso drinks. They even have açai bowls and homemade soup. There are 3 small tables in the front and 3 more tables in the loft space up top. I had the Pineapple Greens juice and a fresh mozzarella and tomato panini. My husband had a ham and turkey panini melt with fresh spinach, tomato, and avocado. We also had the homemade chicken soup. Everything was DELICIOUS! She even has a fridge up front with some fresh fruits and other snacks and beverages to-go (yogurt parfaits, iced coffee, juices). The shop was bright and clean, and we sat in the loft space upstairs. They do have Wi-Fi, so this would be a great place to sit and work for a few hours. We'll be back! read more
