My go-to is the açaí bowl (original - classic size) just the way it is, no customization. I haven't tried their other bowls but the UBE & coconut sounds very good too! Oh yea, if you don't feel like chewing, they have all their açaí bowls in smoothie form too. Refreshing, vibrant, and packed with flavor. The açaí is smooth and slightly tart, balanced by sweet fruits and a satisfying crunch from granola. They also say their granola is "home made" which definitely adds that extra crunch. The person behind the counter made my bowl quickly and got the substitutions correct. I got a classic size, and it was quite large, though expensive. The fruit was all very fresh, and the green mixture tasted great. I would definitely eat this again. The SoBol space was nice, though it was deserted while I was there. First time, was greeted with a nice cashier with a clean minimalistic artsy decor. I just wanted a quick smoothie and read the variety healthy options. The menu has açaí bowl options and speciality/ build your own smoothies. I ordered the super green because of the kale, spinach, mango, almond milk, and mango. Great light tasty combos. The food was pretty good between açaí bowl and the chocolate chip waffle with Nutella, banana, and strawberries on top. I also tried the very berry drink and it had good flavor but all you taste is the seeds of the berries so I won't order that again. She was extremely apologetic and offered to remake my order. Unfortunately, my schedule did not allow for me to return on that same day. Açaí is my addiction and I've been waiting for months for SoBol to open. I've tried smoothie and juice bars all over Astoria, but this is the only one that has size options. Just a warning, the large is massive. Their standard bowl is packed with fruit and granola, I added peanut butter and it was delicious. I also sampled a smoothie and it was very good too. Each bowl can be customized to your liking with toppings such as fresh fruit, granola, store-made almond and nut butters, as well as honey and coconut. The SB smoothie (strawberry banana) is classic and delish and deserves recognition. You can choose what type of milk you'd like and can add any extras to your smoothie to customize to your liking. not sure how I feel about SoBol Astoria, but I know that their Açaí smoothie is one of the best smoothies I've had. Their cold press is also ok, nothing spectacular for that price point. I ordered their Açaí bowl which I was not a fan of, why it's at 3/5 for me. I've been looking all summer for a great açaí bowl because this heat is unbearable and it was a huge miss here. I got like 1/4 of açaí, everything else was just toppings? I mean, it should be called bowl of toppings with a bit of açaí at this point. Highly suggest Playa Bowls or Juice Garden instead for an açaí bowl. If you love lots of toppings on your açaí bowl, then this is your place. Hope to come back and try again, but might stick to their smoothies if needed. It would be nice to add Oatmilk as an alternative. As someone that's lactose intolerant, that would be appreciated. The bowls here are SO good and the service is fantastic. My friends and I each got one of their different bowls (Acai, Pitaya, Green) and got their Nitro Cold Brew Tea!
