I come to this building where the cafe is located often due to my drs appointments so finally my hubs and I decided to try it out. Simple mom and pop cafe. Simple menus with low prices. It's not a fancy cafe, it's just to grab a quick bite to get yourself through the morning. My croissant sandwich was decent but do wish they put ketchup/mayo or some kind of condiment on it. I suppose I made the mistake by not asking. The breakfast burrito my husband ordered was simple, nothing too extravagant but all in all, it's still an affordable spot for a bite. Service is terrible -- the man taking the orders is not friendly... and the older lady making the food is so rude. I heard her call out a tuna salad sandwich, probably to her coworker, so I went up and asked if it was mine, because it was on the pass. And she said, "it's not ready, I'll call it when it's ready." Uh, okay, but you just did. But my smoothie wasn't ready... so I get it. Smoothie was then ready, and I went back up, and asked if it was ready now... she said, "yeah, I just called it." And I saw that the drink was a coffee cup when I ordered a smoothie so I asked, "okay, is this the smoothie?" because who gets a smoothie in a coffee cup? And she said, "yes, it just said that is it." Super short, super rude. Food sucks - bread is stale, tuna salad doesn't taste like anything... They can't customize the few smoothies they have (acai, strawberry + banana, and raspberry + mango) because "the fruits are pre-portioned." It's also served in a paper to-go coffee cup that is now starting to disintegrate as I've typed this review out. Great thing is the outdoor seating in the sun. The prices are average ($9-11 per sandwich) and the sandwiches are not bad. Tbh, they all taste pretty similar, but my favorite so far has been the Santa Fe club which gives a variety of flavors within one sandwich. Recently had a breakfast burrito with bacon and a hot mocha latte and all was good. I think the eggs are made in a microwave but they were good. I work in one of these buildings and I have given this place multiple tries and I get disappointed every time. The fruit is old and $4. Not worth it for old not fresh fruit. The soup is terrible very watered down especially the lobster bisque. We used to have a food truck come by but because of their greed and jealousy they out a stop to it. Giving this place 5 stars solely for their Turkey Quesadilla! It's so simple but sooo good! Turkey, avocado, and cheese in a tortilla toasted to Perfection. Comes with a container of sour cream and container of salsa. Simply delectable!! One order is for 3 quesadillas and each quesadilla is small but 3 actually are quite filling. Doesn't make you feel disgusting full afterward -- like you're OK to go back to work and not fall into a coma. The only other item I've tried from their menu is the Sante Fe Club, which was forgettable, and I just ended up regretting not getting my usual quesadilla instead. Staff is friendly. They scooped frozen Açai put it in a "bowl" and by bowl in mean 4 oz container.. With frozen bananas, strawberries, granola and coconut shavings. I tried eating it but it was like eating frozen ice cream and that's not what I signed up for at $6.25. So I tossed it. Not palatable at all. So I go back in grab a bag of chips and explain to the owner that they don't know sh*t about Açai and she says "you have to wait 5 minutes and it will melt" really? With a can of coke it was $8.00, which I thought more than fair.....problem was, they were pretty stingy with the meat. I ate here today because it is in the same office building as my doctor's office and he was running late. There is an art to the sandwich, and this one was not made by an artist, but a technician. Being from back East, I take the sandwich very seriously. It was decent, but were I to eat here again, would have to order double meat or have them put all of the meat on one side. But they have EVERYTHING- cheeseburgers (I've never had but a few in the office swear by them), quiche (we always get this for our monthly staff meetings), hot/cold sandwiches, salads, pasta salads and DELICIOUS soups. My favorite affordable lunch: 1/2 sandwich and garden salad for $5. The salad is actually fantastic- FRESH romaine, cucumbers, tomatoes, olives! Not just an opened pre-packaged bag of salad. Their dressings are fantastic too! I always cater from them when I can. Besides supporting a local business (rather than Corner Bakery or some other corporate garbage) They have saved me in last minute situations, and the food is ALWAYS on time, corrected and you can just tell they care about the experience of their clients. So I work upstairs so I definitely frequent this place. The lady at the counter is super nice and accommodating. I recommend their quiche, chicken quesadilla, and Tuesday's curries. Their salads are pretty random. They add random things, for example their chicken Caesar salad comes with egg? I don't have anything against egg, but it's for sure random. Their burger meals are a good price, a cheeseburger with potato salad for 4.99. and it's a decent size too.
