Terrible photo I'll have to take another next time I get it but at least you have an idea

This review is specifically for the Turkey Avocado Wrap because it is the best wrap I have ever had in my life. I wish I could recreate it but I know it just won't be the same. The ingredients are fresh and so flavorful together. I have heard of this place by word of mouth but I got to try this for the first time at my job since the owner drops some off for us and so now that I know where it is located- it is definitely one of my top choices to grab lunch. I have to park in the structure and walk a little but it's well worth it. I highly recommend that if you are stopping by and don't know what to try..try the turkey avocado wrap! Thank me later!

Yummy food and great service. Not too bad of prices either. Love the salad here so much. Not the biggest fan of the wraps tho

Thanks to pacific cafe, campus food doesn't have to be bad. The menu has plenty of options offering all the lunch staples: sandwiches, salads, wraps, rice bowls, etc. and the portions are pretty filling. They also have an extensive cafe menu with plenty of coffee/tea options. You can even add vanilla ice cream for $1! Plenty of hospital/research staff opt for lunch here and you can even order ahead online. The seating is limited, but offers a nice view into the courtyard. Definitely recommend stopping by if you need a decent meal or pick me up.

I'm showing the entrance only so you can easily find the building.

This place is a real surprise for a food service located inside a hospital complex. It's actually not in the hospital at UCSD but next-door at a research center... still, it's within easy walking distance of emergency and the main hospital entrance. Food is very fresh. Staff is great and friendly, I had a Greek scramble for breakfast. Later on a fine salad --all of it eaten in a high-tech building atmosphere looking out on a courtyard that is, unfortunately, shaded most of the day so you'll probably end up just eating inside, but that's OK. Food is cooked to order, prices reasonable. I may drop in in the future, even if I have nothing to do at the hospital and I'm in the neighborhood. It's that good.

Ya serve hot, freshly made food, with arugula and also make custom espressos in a hospital lobby, you're gonna get a good mark. Food came out super fresh and swift. I got the good special burger of the day with a side of some good shoestring fries. Coffee hit the spot too. Hell, I'd give 'em a fifth star if they also served onion rings . . . but they didn't. Coffee-cart coffee that's much tastier than the cafe coffee across the street (Cove Cafe). Super friendly staff and some tables inside to enjoy your eats. Dicks

Love ordering online and picking up my food. They do have seating and some really big comfy chairs. I love eating here when I'm in the area. It's always on time, warm, and delicious. I love how friendly they are and how easy it is to get my meals during work.

Pacific Cafe is kind of a healthcare dining option gem that's set in ACTRI, making it a solid option for those working in the building and the hospital across the street. The food scene for this demographic tends to be abysmal in options and quality, but Pacific Cafe is surprisingly not bad in either category. The menu is impressively extensive with vegetarian options and the food itself is not poorly made. The staff is friendly and enthusiastic, and despite putting in the time to craft the dishes, they've got quite the efficient process. It's best to call in advance to place an order then pick it up for lunch. Prices are also fair. I've tried their Margherita flatbread and pesto penne. Both options were good for what they were, but I wish they were more flavorful because they erred on the bland side for me. Nonetheless, Pacific Cafe is roughly a 4 stars from me given the context of it being what it is compared to other similar establishments.

You have 3 options of where to grab a bite to eat when you're on UCSD medical campus. I work at UCSD and this is my #1 spot. Sometimes I purposely "forget" to bring my lunch because I wanna have lunch here! Pacific cafe has the goods. Burgers, bowls, pasta, paninis, salads, they might even have chicken tikka masala as their special. Best part is, it's all delicious. You can check online for their daily specials. My favorite things to order are the roasted veggie panini, teriyaki burger, chipotle chicken pasta and every salad on the menu. The roasted veggie panini is something I crave every single day. Roasted veggies on a French roll with feta cheese and a lemon aioli. This sandwich is perfection. I think about this sandwich while we're performing a procedure sometimes. Please give it a try! Now this place has a line, 99% of the time. We usually either call our orders ahead or order online. I'm pretty sure everyone who works at UCSD knows this place has some really good food and that's why the lines are always long. The super sweet employees keep the line moving and get your orders out as quickly as they can. The family running this place is wonderful and have gained me as a customer for life! I keep mentioning that they should add sweet potato fries to the menu, fingers crossed. Check this place out if you're on campus, it's my favorite.

Cheap food, everyone who works there is super nice. The food is okay, but better than almost any cafe in a hospital or similar place. Coffee is pretty good as well and they have lots of syrups and milk choices.

Roasted Veggie Panini w/ Garden Salad

10/10 would recommend. Walking distance from KOP, Thornton and Perlman building. The veggie panini with garden salad is delicious and I'm not vegetarian. Staff are always so accommodating and sweet. This is the best place to grab lunch when you're on ucsd med campus

Friendly and hard-working servers. Beautifully made and tasty cocktails. Food was fresh and perfectly cooked. Probably the best tasting thick "chips/french fries " that my family I've ever had (my family normally do not like the thick type of french fries)! Loved the Roast beef sandwich with flavorful thick au jus sauce and horseradish sauce. Short rib eggs Benedict with Hollandaise sauce was excellent, but the roast beef sandwich was surprisingly better. Perfectly fried hash browns (the type that I love which are like flat tater tots rather than criss-cross potatoes). Waiters surprised by daughter and my nephew with delicious birthday brownies à la mode for their birthday celebration too! Thanks for a fabulous meal at California English!

What made it even more frustrating was that the waitress appeared to be helping and acknowledging other guests while we continued to wait. This was especially disappointing since we had a baby with us. We were also celebrating a birthday, and our server asked if we would like the restaurant to cut the cake for us. We agreed, assuming it was a courtesy, as no fee was mentioned. When the bill arrived, we were surprised to find a $4 cake-cutting charge. Had we been informed beforehand, we could have made our own decision, but the lack of transparency left a bad impression. Overall, the service felt inattentive and the unexpected charge left us feeling disappointed. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend this restaurant.

What a super chill venue!…read more Went here with my sister's friends for Sunday brunch this past weekend. The venue is pretty stellar! They're dog friendly, have large grassy areas and corn hole; it's such a vibe. It's all about the outside dining area and that awesome wall of jasmine flowers. It was breezy and the scent traveled making the experience super unique. We were famished and everything on the menu looked next level good. Our waitress Cynthia answered all our annoying questions. I got the lavender lemonade to start and it hit the spot. The lavender was perfect, not too perfumy (not a word apparently but it is today) but enough to say ok, there's lavender in there and I like it. It was refreshing. My main meal was the chilaquiles which had a nice kick to it so beware if you can't tolerate any spicy flavors. It was more of a soup in presentation but I love sauce and may have licked the bowl because I'm classy. We also desperately wanted the side of potatoes because we kept seeing it and all of us ended up getting an order and did not regret it. The potatoes include the skin, salted and super crunchy. It's like fry well fries and I'm all about it. We will be back!!!

(Dined/Drank 06/10/26 WE @ 5:00pm): Gravity kept me from elevating to new heights at this brewery!…read more A friend recommended Gravity Heights' Sorrento Valley location to get caught with each other, but she ended up bailing at the last minute due to work. If you knew me, I always searched for breweries wherever I may be, so I was stoked to visit a brewery new to me. Founded in early 2019 by Arturo Kassel (Whisknladle CEO) and Skip Virgilio (AleSmith co-founder) by a chance encounter, Kassel wanted to move away from typical industrial taprooms and create a space with elevated food and a bright, coastal aesthetic that appealed to the tech-heavy workforce in the area. In 2024, they have since opened a second location in nearby Mission Valley. To what heights did gravity allow me to enjoy this brewery!? PURCHASE(S) Gravity Heights Sandbar Golden Ale Blonde Beer 5.2% ABV 16floz Draft ($8.00 HH): Bright golden amber color, citrusy malty piney aroma, light body, citrusy malty piney flavor, crisp refreshing finish, and citrusy malty slight bitter aftertaste. Shrimp Aguachile ($11.00 HH): A big portion of mixed avocado, cilantro, red onion, and shrimp with homemade tortilla chips, this ceviche-like dish was fresh, hearty, and a meal on its own - amazing! Gravity Heights June Gloom Hazy NEIPA Beer 7.0% ABV 16floz Draft ($8.00 HH): Bright hazy amber color, citrus hoppy tropical aroma, light body, citrus hoppy tropical flavor, juicy finish, and citrus hoppy tropical aftertaste. Paloma Cocktail ($10.00 HH): Crafted with Real Del Valle blanco tequila, grapefruit and lime juices, simple syrup, and soda water, this was refreshing and went down way too quickly. Gravity Heights Haulin' Oats Oatmeal Stout Beer 5.3% ABV 16floz Draft ($8.00 HH): Dark brown color, chocolate coffee roasty aroma, heavy body, beany coffee roasty flavor, drying finish, and beany roasty slight bitter aftertaste. 12" Diablo Pizza 6pc ($23.00): Made with tomato sauce, fontina and mozzarella cheeses, spicy calabrese, jalapenos, pickled fresnos, and chili flakes on a somewhat thin crispy crunchy slightly charred crust, this made my mouth tingle from the first bite and i loved it! Kind of pricey, though. Logo Beer Pint Glass ($10.00): I needed some local brewery glassware for the new place, so this seemed like as good a time as any. SERVICE Warmly greeted by two gentlemen behind the bar as I parked my ass on a barstool, I was given menus and a rundown of their happy hour which was going on (yes!). I quickly took advantage of the happy hour specials before they ended. My initial drink arrived immediately while everything else was received just as quickly. The place was packed, so I was amazed by the attentive service (I was frequently checked on as empties were removed). Once I was done, there was no pressure to vacate my stool - outstanding! PARKING (FREE): Although they had their own decent-sized lot, it was full, so thankfully I found a spot on the nearby street (carefully read all posted street signs; I had to in this case!) - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A clean modern open spacious layout with plenty of both standard interior seating and exterior covered patio seating with a large central well-appointed bar. Minimal to no promotional items were present. This place was impressive! Plenty of natural lighting in this quasi-exposed floorplan while an assortment of electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were several muted TVs mainly at the bar and throughout while classic rock & roll music played in the background. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL I had a wonderful time at Sorrento valley's Gravity Heights and would visit again... or at least the Mission Valley location which was closer to me. They had plenty of beers on tap, the food was tasty, the prices were relatively comparable, the food menu was plentiful, and the service was great. Unsure if furry family members were allowed. Daily happy hour specials (3pm-6pm) and almost certain nightly entertainment such as trivia, music, and more was available. I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $84.00 BEFORE any discounts, points usage, and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS

Other dishes available five dishes "from the pantry" including a fruit plate, pancakes and French toast, egg dishes like an omelette, the dish I got, eggs Benedict, and grains and greens bowl, and two regional specialties. I enjoyed every part of the dish I ordered, and I liked it so much, I got it again the second day. I was surprised that unlike other hotels, breakfast didn't start until 7 AM on any day of the week.
